1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Folder Files Don't refresh upon Deletion on: 2012 December 16, 05:46:37
This only happens from time to time whenever I access folders from the Libraries shortcut tree. It technically does get deleted because if you try to delete the file again before refreshing, the system will say it no longer exists. If you search google with the keywords "windows 7 library refresh delete," you'll see the complaints about it.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 08.22.2012) on: 2012 August 29, 00:54:07
Well weird how I placed it outside with plenty of lighting and it still worked. What I experienced was a glitch which I fixed by deleting and buying the object again.
Can you post what it looks like? I went to test this again and it was still influenced by lighting for me even if I deleted and bought the object again.

ETA: Am I the only one annoyed that the massage table doesn't spawn an NPC masseur?
BBS sheeplings reported that if it's placed on a comm lot it will assign a townie just like the tattoo chair. Didn't try it though. Will you be sharing your steam fix for the sauna? I first thought it was going to explode when I saw that. Too bad it didn't.

Okay I spent an hour testing the last fix, trying out all the premiums I could think of (I just realized I forgot to test the tree of posterity, crap.).The only KIA I have is the fountain of youth cascade animation thing missing. However it works perfectly, moodlets and sim anims. So who cares. Tongue
While playing, it seems the incredibly bright steam is due to the lighting. Put the sauna in an enclosed room and tone down the lighting intensity for any lights you place.

If you're using packages, you'll need to update the ccmerged file because the casino items have a new BUFF and SKIL resource.

Twallan commented on the deep fryer reset error before:

The log is in regards to a number of broken references being stored by the Deep Fryer object.

That object is not particularly well written, and has been known to cause problems for many users.

I also have incredible lag when I use multiple sprinklers. The screen would stutter a lot.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 01, 01:41:03
As your Sim gets a higher plant badge and tends the trees, they improve. They are hard to keep from being sickly at first, but then it's easy to keep them thriving just by tending them when they need it and keeping the ladybug house next to them. As long as your Sim has a silver or gold badge.  Wink
Does the gardener tend them? Sounds like an annoyance if you don't plan to play as a gardener.
8  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: AutoYakYak Macro Phone Caller (10/25/06) on: 2006 October 26, 14:54:59
I've been using the updated hack for awhile and haven't seen any of that when a sim is on a cellphone or a regular phone so far. The new version fixed the issue of the autoyak not spawning on some lots though.
9  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: AutoYakYak Macro Phone Caller (01/29/06) on: 2006 October 23, 07:39:23
Both of these lots are pre-Pets, but one of them has it and the other doesn't.

t11910.txt doesn't have it and t250511.txt does.
10  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: AutoYakYak Macro Phone Caller (01/29/06) on: 2006 October 23, 05:51:32
I have the similar issue of the friends option not showing up, but it's only in some households. Some do have it, cellphone or just a regular phone, and some just don't whether I move them to a new place or not. I'm not sure why.

I checked that the sims do have friends status, called them individually to see if it's the issue of them being away, but they do have the friend status and aren't away. All hacks have been updated and the results are the same.

Edit: I tested moving a household without the calling friends option into a household with one, and it showed up. But once I moved that household out to a new lot, the option disappears again.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Matchmaking Service Lady on: 2006 October 22, 02:59:59
Thanks, the error doesn't appear anymore.

I had another error appear and it's also invalid species. I went to two community lots with bars and both had an error in spawning the NPC for it. I have a log for one of them. All hacks are from the latest director's cut.
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Matchmaking Service Lady on: 2006 October 20, 23:21:54
The error is still occuring after the updated hack. The updated antiwatchout hack fixed the drive to work, drive to community, etc. issues though.
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Matchmaking Service Lady on: 2006 October 20, 23:00:09
Oh. I removed it now and it works. Can I also ask you, is it a hack that's related to the error of the find own place option on the Sims computer when there's pets in the household?
14  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Matchmaking Service Lady on: 2006 October 20, 21:32:53
I kept getting an error of invalid species and when I removed all the hacks, I found out it was the matchmaking lady that couldn't be summoned. I attached a log.

And for the find own place issue with the log t17670.txt in the other thread, it only occurs when the household has a pet, the function works when the household has no pets. The drive to work issue is solved.
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Drive to Work/Find own Place error in Pets on: 2006 October 20, 01:10:02
I read the other topic with the drive to work issue and downloaded the new SShack, but I still have the problem. The other one is when I have a sim use find own place on the computer, they jump out. When I remove all the ffs hacks, both work again. All the hacks I have right now are all from http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/pets/hacks/?M=D It's also a new neighborhood. I attached two logs, the first is the drive to work issue and the second the find own place.

16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Smart Milk and the college years on: 2005 October 01, 20:36:03
I guess it's that bug or maybe you can call it a "feature" since it's still there in NL. I think JM said something about it before, that there's a chance that the smart milk effect stays with the sim their whole lives.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FFS mods current status on: 2005 September 22, 19:05:29
Yeah, that's why I put it in. But so far nothing else has happen, so maybe it was just a freak accident of a bug.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FFS mods current status on: 2005 September 22, 17:17:30
The commlightson.package seems to be causing some downtown lots to enter a loading loop forever, especially in Build Mode, and having to exit the game through Task Manager.  Another modder's smart-lights mod seemed to cause the same problem.  Apparently Nightlife doesn't like these lights mods, at least for some of us.  I don't know what it is about them.
I had this occur too, but only once so far, when I installed that package.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No cheering hack on: 2005 September 22, 15:55:04
I think they only do it the first time when the get an A. I didn't see them cheering after it.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My vampire is pregnant on: 2005 September 19, 06:53:11
The only time vampires age is when they enter and/or exit University (teen -> YA and YA -> adult). The guide says they can't die by drowning or starvation, but I'm not sure what happens when they reach those failure states yet.
True. They can only die if they are outside in the sunlight.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My vampire is pregnant on: 2005 September 19, 06:43:44
So are vampires immortal?
Immortal as in not aging. That's about it.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question about vampires on: 2005 September 18, 23:49:36
Only in the night. It goes down faster than a normal sim in the day and even faster if the vampire goes outside. You have to let the vampire sleep in the coffin when the sun comes up.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Flaming sack of poo?? Anyone else gotten this? on: 2005 September 18, 23:43:37
Here are the "gifts" you can recieve from the highest to the lowest depending on how well a date went:

Bouquet of flowers
Single flower
Love letter
Hate letter
Poo
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: mods that do and don't work on: 2005 September 18, 04:55:00
Manual navigation works too, except for two new vampire modes of locomotion:  stalk here and fly here.  The moves just cancel out, nothing crashes.
Is flying faster than running? If so, the Nightlife-updated versions of macros will default to "Fly Here" when available for vampires.
It looks a bit slower than running. It seems useful for sims who cannot run.  Even if they're in the house, all of their moods will  go down faster than a normal sim. However, if they go outside, it'll be going down rapidly. Vampire is an excellent choice for a sim with a night job. Their moods don't drop at all at night, so they can go to community lots to do all the other stuff with ease and come back with lots of time left.

There also some other annoyances that I wonder why in the hell would Maxis still include. For example, the doorbell still wakes everybody up including the vampire. So, if you're not paying attention, all his/her moods will go down and you'll have to make him/her go back to the coffin.

A good thing they fixed is that the cellphone does not ring when a sim is sleeping.
