The animations are really small, nothing that is over-the-top, jaw droppingly new. I think it will be a very long time before someone makes completely origional, full body animations. And, like Diala said...that's after all the sim porn is created!
252  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Face Template Replacements [23 June: Some more in-game pics] on: 2006 June 27, 04:21:10
I have a question for anyone who knows what will happen...

I already use default replacements from MTS2, but plan on switching to these post haste. My question is what will happen to my sims when I do? I really can't possibly even think of not being able to continue on with sim me's adventures, but she married a townie with a replacement face and has kiddies. Would changing cause mutations to occur?

The message that comes up is always "here's a coupon for paying your bills on time" for me. I don't ever go on dates to community lots so that is not why I get them.
254  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Get Mail in NL? on: 2006 June 24, 14:30:21
You also get a free dinner coupon if you pay your bills on time for a certain amount of time. I think it 3 times, because I can never remember longer than that.

Hmmm...Lets see, I sent him there plenty of times already, then kept him there for a whole week. I even hired more unnecessary workers to make sure that all things were covered. In total, I'd say he's been there a total of 20 sim days. I left him home for 3 sim days after he went home each time to be absolutely sure he wasn't receiving any money.

Maybe you can't substantiate it - have you tried moving a student with a business back home?  or, for that matter, from home to college?  In every case, I've had to have them visit the businell first, and the message they get is different from the message they get if they've already checked in.

That is the only family I have, an adult male and his wife.

Did he tell the manager to "mind the store" before he left?

As far as I know, telling the manager to mind the store, then cueing to go home still makes the sim run through the store like a mad-man flailing his arms and shooing people out. He makes his employees leave, that's what he did in my game. I guess I have to create a new sim and make him go to the store...I'll see what happens.

Well, he's been there for a whole sim week and I still didn't get anything. I'm gonna blame it on the patch and call it a night because I'm so furious that I might throw my computer out the window!!
257  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: No business income or decay on: 2006 June 17, 00:31:21
Oh! Weird because I don't remember ever doing that before...Thanks!

I haven't played the OFB part of the game in a while, but today I set up a communications and water works lot to gererate some "city revenue". I had the mayor go to both lots and I made sure that there was a profit and manager. I sent mayor home and had him check in the next day and I got the regular message that everything was fine. Night rolled around and I waited to see the "your business made $" message, but it never popped up.

I took out Pescados anti business decay and repeated, them all hacks and repeated...I am not getting any income. Does anyone know what the problem can be or did I mess something up somewhere?
259  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't I build any dorm in a uni neighbourhood ? on: 2006 June 12, 14:21:20
Are you serious?? That is all stuff you can do?? Well, I think I might let my uni students roam around a little. Hmmm...I have a senior right now so I think I'll let him use his 72 hours to earn some extra cash. And all this time I've been sending them to the espresso bar. I can't beilieve that I never heard of that stuff, but I really didn't like uni, aside from getting a degree.
260  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't I build any dorm in a uni neighbourhood ? on: 2006 June 11, 16:15:06
Well thanks to no 20k handouts, that "pocket money" is extremely needed! That makes the difference between living on the lawn with your uni furniture and no terlet to living in a box with some furniture and a terlet. I prefer the box and I think my sims do too.
261  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't I build any dorm in a uni neighbourhood ? on: 2006 June 11, 14:22:41
I don't think I've ever paid bills in a dorm, but that is just fine by me. Staying completely true to life, it is complete crap to have to pay the bills for all the townies that live there too. No point and since my sims get scholorships, they really shouldn't have to pay for anything.
262  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My sims must be doing it wrong... on: 2006 June 11, 03:15:52
I noticed that too. I used to make them woohoo whenever their fun got low (actually, that's all they ever did for fun), but it doesn't really do anything anymore. Maybe it's just another screw-up on maxis part. I noticed this since OFB was released.
263  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 08, 06:06:33
This reminds me of a guy on MTS2, I think it was, who said he couldn't understand why in the Sims 2, they had their post box on a pole in front of their house.  He had never seen that before and he said whoever puts their post box on a pole in front of their house?  You're supposed to have a slot in the front door for letters.  Well, it turned out that he wasn't from the US, and I kind of wondered since he called it a post box and not a mail box.  After several people pointed out that having a mail box on a post in front of the house near the street was common in rural areas of the US, he said he was from the UK, where they usually have mail slots in the front door.  It just shows that people are often quick to criticize things they aren't familiar with and forget that people do things differently in different parts of the world or even different parts of the same country.  Doesn't mean one way is right and the others are wrong.

Speaking of, I too never seen a mailbox in the middle of the street. I'm from Chicago and the mailbox is connected to the house. The mailman actually has to walk up everyone's stairs to deliver the mail...and they all have very sexy legs because of it!  Roll Eyes Whenever I build a house, I MUST move the box as close to the house as I can get it. It just seems more natural to me...

I've never seen one on the wall before.  Shocked

Oh lord, talk about ASININE!
266  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 June 06, 14:06:42
It's fixed in my game, but now I have the other problem of the sim cueing up to use the bathroom when his bladder is near full. It seems like he does it because he has nothing else to do...?? Does that sound right? I also had visitor over that kept idling outside the bathroom. They'd walk in, get booted out, idle, and repeat. I still prefer it this way. At least I don't have to watch them use the bathroom anymore.
267  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 06, 14:00:20
After another fire was started in the new house I moved them into, this time with a fire alarm, the fire only got the stove and counter next to it. The fireman did a good job. I am beginning to think that this family is fated to die, but we'll see how long I can help them cheat death. Another thing, I recall my sims used to carry the children to safety, but these must be bad parents because they didn't think twice about the kid!

Thanks for the link fairestrachel.
268  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 05, 17:01:18
I wouldn't care if you couldn't see the fire alarm. I either install one or don't. If I forget, I won't realize it until there is an actual fire. It would be nice to make that hideaous thing hideable.
269  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 June 05, 04:19:25
I don't have a flashing icon, but other than that it is the same problem. I did recently download the directors cut becuase I knew that most of the stuff in my game was from when OFB just came out. Maybe that is the problem.
270  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 June 05, 04:00:31
The person in the terlet just paces back and forth. The person waiting paces as normal. I can end the pacing by canceling out either persons action in the cue. I'm stumped by this and it just started a few days ago.
271  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 June 05, 03:07:03
I am having a problem. BUY works fine except for when someone is using the bathroom and someone is waiting for the bathroom. The person in the bathroom gets stuck in an endless loop and I have to tell him to do something in order to stop the loop. While it's not really a big deal, it sort of defeats the purpose of BUY and I'd like to get it resolved. I have done all of the common steps to isolate the problem, but I can't find a cause. Any suggestions?
272  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 05, 02:57:44
Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Needless to say, I have never used it...well, with this hack installed I might just have to start in order to give my little simmies a fighting chance. I'm worried that the fireman will get consumed too.
273  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 04, 23:18:37
Hmmm...Interesting. What is this and where do I find it?  Huh
274  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 04, 23:00:41
I don't think you needed the fire alarm alone, you needed the extinguisher!

No, that's how they caught fire! I tried to make them extinguish it while it was dying down and poof!, they both went up in flames. I would have had them call the fire department, but I forgot to give them a phone. The only thing I could do is wait for the fire to burn out. And let me tell you, OPEN FLOOR PLAN + BAD ASS FIRE + NO ALARM OR PHONE = TOTAL DESTRUCTION

That poor family had just come into some inheritance, but now they can't even afford a fridge. I have yet to move them back into a starter home. I think I'll do that now.
275  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Intense Fire Hack on: 2006 June 04, 21:43:28
lol...I was so upset because the family I was playing with was one of my favorites, but I am a just "god" and do not give second chances. Luckily when the second adult caught fire the actual fire was going out and for some reason she went out too. Then she was able to plead to grimmy!
