TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation.

Anything that reloads the lot will do it, not just going on vacation. I first started with playing with an Awesomized neighborhood, and I don't think I added any of my CC. I was playing with the Supercomputer and screwed something up, so I went back to the main menu and restarted, and blue lots. I started a completely new game, and I'm taking care to use save as into a new file every time I save. Been playing for a few RL days now and no trouble, but I haven't tried placing any CC yet, either. What I have is mostly cloned clutter; I really need to sift through it.

Do you have any mods? If they're not WA compatible yet, they could be causing it. If you use AM, you need to patch up to 2.2 because it's not compatible with 2.0. Try pulling out your mods folder and then run it. If it starts, add things back one at a time so you can see what works and what doesn't.
If you don't use mods, I have no idea. Might need to uninstall everything including previous saves and just start from scratch.

There's a theory floating around that the .backups are what cause blue lot syndrome. You can read through the 90% of Sunset Valley is Gone thread for details. As for the .legacys, no idea. Move them to your desktop, and if it seems to have affected your save game, just put them back.

On the other hand this seems to be information coming from hacking PettitionOnline and put up for reasons beyond human, subhuman, unhuman and bestial understanding.
What the hell were they going to do? go to EA with the names and Email addresses from that petition and ask then to do what? its not as if EA cares about TSR anyway despite their illusions about that.
It makes no sense, it seems Thomas spends a lot of time to clean up A TWAT messes because she is special and unless she allows him to stick it in her pooper on a regular basis I cannot understand why the hell he puts up with that crap.
But don't you understand? With fake names and web-based emails, EA can put a stop to piracy for good! We're all doomed! DOOMED, I say!

It does, doesn't it? Let's see how badly I can screw up my computer by moving everything in my C:\ to pretty alphabetized folders. Those programmers didn't know what they were doing since they didn't do that in the first place anyway, right?

If you move your Saves folder, you'll lose your saves. Not in any permanent way, mind you. Putting it back will restore them. But it won't help with your Error Codes.

AM in the WA folder (it just doesn't load in the base folder, sorry), I'm only getting a few hours in before it crashes. Maybe half a day? On a fresh save game, I have time to move a sim into a house, get a job, and skill at the library for a little while. If I play in 3X speed, it crashes in a couple minutes, but I get roughly the same amount of gameplay.

Does the beta of AwesomeMod fix the bug in WA where your food spoils even in the fridge? I cannot play with such a glaring bug and for me it has been a race to see who will fix it first, AM or an official patch. I heard there will be no new features until it is stable but I was just curious.
I don't know the answer to your question, but if it's really annoying you that much, try this mod. I've found it works with WA. Yeah I did see that mod, but I do not want it to spoil slower out of the fridge, I just want the fridge to work correctly. I am on level 9 of the culinary career and I am afraid to get promoted and have the reward fridge not work. I took that career path because I did not realize the quick spoilage was a bug at the time. Is it spoiling after just a few hours, like if you had left it out? And are you using the top level fridge? Food is meant to spoil in the fridge after a while (as it does in real life) and then you have to clean it out. The most expensive fridge doesn't do that. Okay, after a few hours of trying to get this to work, I have discovered that AM does not work unless I move the framework into the WA folder. I am legal base game and Reloaded EP, latest patch. No other CC or mods yet. Before I moved the framework, it just got to the loading screen and stopped. Not froze, just sort of stopped. It's loading okay now, though. EDIT I have a totally clean game, put in the framework and awesome mod and the game won't start. It hangs on the WA screen. If you would like a saved game, let me know, I'll be glad to link it to you. If you want a saved game, let me know which one you want, from the base or WA folder.
Yeah, this. It was hanging. Lady Moiraine, try moving your framework into your WA folder.

roflcopter... I own legit TS3 (yes, I bought it). I cannot install the expansion because of the region the game thinks it is.
You want to fix this? In regedit... HKLM\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3. Change SKU value to 7. Then yay, it installs. Screw EA.
Do you then need to change it back to your original region code SKU on both the base game and the expansion? Please let me know. Thanks. ETA: I also have a legit TS3 - and downloaded the expansion. Same. I downloaded from here and did not have to edit the registry at all.

Newbie to arr'ing here. Can I someone recommend a good, freeware/shareware virtual drive creator? Yeah, I know, Daemon Tools (Google is my abusive butoccasionally helpful friend), but I can't afford it. Don't get me wrong; I've figured out how to find them. I just want to know which ones are actually good and won't cause my drive to stop working after the 30-day trials ends or something.
I told myself after Spore that I wasn't giving EA one more cent, and this time, I mean it.
I believe you can still download Daemon Tools Lite (by confirming that you are using it only for home & personal use). I'm also new to this, and I downloaded it that way. Here's the link: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads. If you scroll down to Daemon Tools Lite you will see that they ask "Are you going to use DAEMON Tools Lite at home personally and not for commercial purposes? If "Yes" then press on "Download" and get it for Free!". That's what I did. Ah, sweet, thanks.

Yes, please stop abusing the poor ellipses. It makes you sound like William Shatner, among other things.
On your grass blurring, does it tend to resolve itself after a while if you just watch it? When you scroll away from something, the game goes into low detail. I guess to save memory? And sometimes, when you scroll back to it, it takes a while for the game to finish its sandwich and notice that you need the high detail back. I think I heard in one of the other threads that WA is especially laggy at the moment, so that could be why you've never noticed before. I have entirely too much CC, so even in my base game, it happens all the time.
