I had the same problem regarding CAW. When you are in EIG, close CAW.exe (not TS3W.exe) via the tast manager. The world will save just fine.

You already answered your question. I guess the Store forces you to get updates since the new objects use the new code (?) from the 1.12 patch.

Create-a-World does definitely not work. I reinstalled it and ist still says CAW can't find the Sims 3 game data.

Does Create-a-World work? I expect not, but maybe somone has other experiences?

Didn't work =(. I replaced all the exes with the right cracks and the message still appears.

SOLVED: Well, actually I solved the error by myself. Although I deleted all the Sims-stuff in the Registry, I missed the "Sims" Registryfolder wich is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SIMS/The Sims 3. Now I deleted it and it works like a charm

Well, after I reinstalled Sims3 (Basegame) this error shows up wherever I try to start the game. Starting via Launcer didn't work, it says that an error accured. I reinstalled it but deleted all the Sims files (as said in the other thread) in the registry before. Then I tried to patch the game manually, wich produced the same error. If the game is unpatched, it runs fine.
I tried anything but I get always the same error =( (Maybe it is because my game is Arr'd but 6 months ago it worked just fine)
What can I do to fix this?

One of these two "EA Games" folders is a 'shared' folder, that is the empty one. You can delete it, the game won't break because of this.

Of couse it will. As example, compare the filesize of The.Sims.3.High.End.Loft.Stuff-ViTALiTY with a normal release and one without the patches. 4.3GB is a little bit ... much, since I'm downloading from Megaupload this time.

There is a custom launcher  by MTS or TSR, try it. Worked fine at me.

The interesting fact is that i had The Sims: Life Stories installed and there wasnt a problem like this. Also, I remember this annoying thing started when i installed Seasons i think. Before that everything was okay >>

As you can see, thats my problem:
The neighborlots are showed but the trees are only seen ~ 1 m away from the lot although i placed some near the rocks.
My graphic settings are all on 'high'.

So is it a problem with my game or with my settings?
