1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2014 July 28, 07:18:55
Anyone have the Sandy Shoals Sea Shanty lot for download anywhere?  It looks like a pretty house.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't adjust relationships bar using testingcheats? on: 2014 July 28, 07:08:00
Try typing boolprop testingcheatsenabled true in neighborhood view and then select a home. You can change the bars then. Or type it in the home lot, go to neighborhood view, and back into the home.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Playing IP, my game run jerkily on: 2013 July 14, 09:48:50
I never used Awesomemod.

Blasphemer.

You might be at the lower range of a good computer system? Not sure.  I got a new shiny computer and filled it with butt loads of CC and I had jerky, choppy movement in IP, but it runs great in other worlds. I have not tried IP since all of the mods have been updated most recently.

IP world is stupid anyway. Takes you 3 days just to get anywhere.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island on: 2013 July 05, 10:03:35
This is reported in Crinrict's bug thread in the Sims 3 forums http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/686687.page  It is under sound issues. I haven't seen it being talked about the way other bugs have been talked about, but we aren't the only ones. I don't know if you can call it an awesome mod problem.

Has anyone made a mod or something to just disable the jet skis for now? I tried finding everyone who has one and deleting the item, but people just buy another one.

My one world had the issue and it went away after deleting as many jet skis as I could and deleting all the wall mounted speakers. My Isla Paradiso still has the issue come up and it does not go away.

I saw a Sim riding a speed boat down the street. It even has collision detection and flies up into the yards to get out of the way of the cars.

We just need someone to make the boats and jet skis not able to go on roads or for now to just make them not to be autonomously bought by inactives to see if that is the issue.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound is flubbered - also jet ski cars? on: 2013 July 04, 07:33:05
I am having the same problems. The only common denominator I found for the crapped out sound was it always came on a lot with a wall mounted speaker. I have no idea if that is just a coincidence. I have since gone through and taken out all wall mounted speakers and replaced them with other stereos. So far it is working in my Sunset Valley.

I also have the jet skis. The townies must buy them like a vehicle. Ridiculous. I saw it the first sim hour in the new world, so EA can't tell me they never saw it.

I have a whole host of other problems - Romantic picture taking, crazy things happening with an imaginary friend, crashing due to ram (I haven't had this issue since before seasons). Just very unhappy with this whole thing. University was running flawlessly.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 02, 15:45:26
Going to piss & moan about my townie/npc Sims riding around on jet skis on the road.  There was a rather attractive Sim my Sim wanted to date, but he was forever tragically stuck on a jet ski.

Mermaids are stupid & I hate their stockings.

Just got everything installed and those jet skis piss me off. I haven't come across anything else yet. Ilsa Paradiso was a little choppy, but only played for about a sim week.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 July 02, 15:25:07
Flagrant system error. Test version of Awesome. I do have other mods, but they are "supposedly" up to date. IP patched to 1.55

My Sim went to play with the Gnubb set thing on a community lot and all it had was "Join Game" with a Sim standing next to it. My Sim sat there for a few minutes and no game started. So I had her greet the Sim I thought was trying to initiate a game and got this. I clicked the okay check mark and everything was fine. The Gnubb set could be played with.

8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 June 26, 03:48:11
This thread should be titled:"I am using outdated mods. I will come here and Piss and Moan about my stupidness."  NRAAS said he is working on the mods for IP. So far nothing has been cleared. Awesomemod - Not cleared.

I haven't updated to the latest patch & I have not installed IP yet. It sounds like it is buggy already without the need for outdated mods thrown in for fun.

Stop using outdated mods! You people cause your own grief.
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Struggling with Awesomemod on: 2013 June 06, 20:50:46
I would make sure you don't have an old version of awesome and also really check & make sure you are patched. I have had it where I thought I was all patched and I wasn't. Make sure any other mods you have are up to date too.

As far as NRAAS. I use awesome mod and NRAAS mods: mastercontroller, overwatch, woohooer, register, careers, relativity (this ONE mod I don't think I could play without), and traveler. I don't have any conflicts that I see. My Sims game is playing great.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: .Sims3Pack: Installation failed on: 2013 May 10, 04:34:05
Did you try to decrap the files even though they are not store content?

I can't remember if I have had a non-store item say that. I am sorry I am not much help. I would try decrapping if you haven't.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 March 12, 20:28:17
Does anybody have a link to the "Steampunk: The Return" set that doesn't require me to install some third party program to download it? I actually want it so that I can UNINSTALL an item.
Or alternatively, does anyone know the jumbled number/letter package name for the Anachronism VCT laptop that came with said set?

I found it in Frank's Skydrive. It still works for me. https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=3DD5FF998C2BC772&id=3DD5FF998C2BC772!14955#cid=3DD5FF998C2BC772&id=3DD5FF998C2BC772!14955  I don't think you need a third party DL.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 March 03, 20:32:42
I just got a new computer and after installing everything, I loaded the Sims to see if it was working. I did not have awesome mod in at that time. I had the sculpture problem too. I think it is an EA problem, not an awesome problem. Not sure what is happening. I transferred over my entire Sims 3 folder from my other computer, so I should not be missing any content; however, not sure if it patched perfectly. I have to check that out.

Edit: I am fully and correctly patched. Not sure what happened to make the sculptures broken.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 February 25, 20:04:59
I'm trying to install Aurora Skies and Monte Vista that I downloaded here and the launcher says I need to update my game. I'm updated to the latest patch and I have installed the latest store content patch. Searching did not come up with an answer. Is there something I'm overlooking?

You probably have the craps. Make a backup of those files and then decrap them. If you did that already, then I am not sure!

15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crashes when Saving- DEP not working. on: 2013 January 23, 06:01:05
I had a strange crash once that sounds similar and I had been playing it the night before. I was quite upset so I tried everything. This may have been voodoo and wishful thinking, but I ran my save file through the decrapper and I no longer crashed. I have NO idea why it would suddenly work since I had not installed anything new. All I did was close the game down and go to bed! Maybe back up your save and run it through decrap??
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 November 19, 12:34:30
I am having the issue with townies catching on fire as well. So far I have had 17 deaths. This was with the latest awesomemod on the DL page on the 18th. They are always the townie people who are standing idle somewhere in town, so far never NPCs and never my active sims.

They get an overheating moodlet even in the winter. Then they get a sweating profusely moodlet. Some of them I have been able to get my sim to put them out, other times the queue just keeps stopping for putting them out. My last sim died in 37 degree weather.

I gave one sim the immune to fire hidden trait and he still caught on fire. I intervened by making him selected and cancelling all of the moodlets because he was a future husband, but it was in the winter.

Right now I used mastercontroller and gave the whole neighborhood immune to heat lifetime happiness award.

And another bug I found, not with awesomemod, but with the game, the unselected sims do not stop playing horseshoes. Parties and dates pretty much suck because the sims won't stop playing unless I select them and stop them (which ends the date).
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2012 November 18, 19:54:04
I had my Sim clean up her hotdog plate in the park and she stuck it in a phased out trashcan. I couldn't see it, but I knew it was there from looking at the lot in build mode. Maybe that is why you are hearing the sound of the firepit and beehive. They are still there, usable, but invisible.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions? on: 2012 November 18, 13:31:06
I am loving this expansion pack. The glitches I have come across have been caused by out of date mods/hacks. I got most of them updated and everything is going well. For me it is running better than the past expansion.

I have had 7 or so sims burst into flames during the summer. One died. I put 2 out with my sim. I dislike how it does that mainly because the sims are idle outside of their house from the game mechanics. Wish it pushed them indoors.

I can't stop playing it.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pets patch - all CC borked! on: 2011 October 22, 04:52:29
I was going through my CC & fixing everything, and it appears to be working. However now my Sim just went to bed in a generations Sim bed & the sheets are all scrunched up like the broken objects, I can't remember the name of the bed but it was one of the loft beds that are wooden.  Is anyone else getting regular sim items with animation errors? I am fully patched, no mods, just some test CC I was fixing. How the heck am I supposed to fix the objects that come with the game?

Edit to add: Well it is tight pants...did not realize a bad file crapped up reg sim game files. So off to find offending file to loosen my pants.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 Pets on: 2011 October 20, 16:13:55
Mine was on the back of the installation guide where the 90 day limited warranty is. All the way at the top. I am in the US, maybe they messed up for other countries?
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 October 19, 16:23:30
While in Create a Household & editing the relationships I crash to the desktop.

I only have awesome mod (the latest with the horse fixes) I have Pets & all the patches.  When I take awesome mod out, I can edit relationships again. I had been making a toddler the child of a young adult at the time if that makes any difference.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How to install legally purchased TS3 on second PC on: 2011 June 29, 15:14:49
I have my one copy of the base game and all stuff/expansion packs installed on 3 computers/laptops here.  All legally purchased.  We were never given a hard time when entering the codes.  Not sure why you have a problem!
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 June 24, 14:29:03
I found to read bedtime stories you had to have the bookcase IN the room, or a book in your pocket, and be IN the room with the child.  It doesn't seem to draw the parent sim over the way helping with homework works.  But I got it to work after a few queue stomps.

I had to stick a desk and chair right next to the mail box to write thank you notes.  This of course looks stupid, but it was the only way.  My Sims are not currently high enough in gardening to see about buying seeds.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Computer Hardware issue - need help! on: 2011 February 21, 14:06:05
Okay thanks for the comments.  I have used the fps limiter since it was discovered that the Sims 3 was running crazy fps.  I also clean it out often due to living in the desert and all this dust.  I will try to see if it is just one or both cards busted.  I do game pretty heavily!  I beta tested Rift and it sounded like a jet engine was taking off.  I just wish it wasn't so intimidating to take this thing apart.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Computer Hardware issue - need help! on: 2011 February 20, 17:27:55
So yesterday as I was playing the Sims 3 when all of a sudden the graphics went all square and rainbowed and my computer froze.  I shut it down, booted back up and tried to load Sims 3 again and I get white dot (snowflakes) on the loading screen which then freezes the computer.  This happens for all 3D games.

Researching the problem leads me to several problems like failing graphics cards, poor power supply, overheating...I am no computer expert, all of this is really overwhelming.

I updated all of my drivers (Sound, graphics, cpu) I opened it up and cleaned it out.  I checked the temps and everything read as not overheating.

My question is, does this sound like failed graphics card?  I have no problem getting a new one, but I want to be sure that is the problem.  What other things should I do to find out?  Since I really have no idea, should I take it to a Computer repair shop!?

My system: It is a Dell...ugh I know.

alienware Area-51 750i
3.00 gigahertz Intel Core2 Duo
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5N-D 1.XX nVidia nForce 750i SLI
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT [Display adapter] (2x)
500 watt PSU
4GB of RAM

It is about 1 1/2 years old

If it is the graphics cards, can anyone tell me the highest graphics card I could install with my motherboard?  Dell recommended EVGA Geforce GT 220 1 GB.  But reading reviews and they say it is for low end gaming.  Can I go up to 400 series?

If you need more info let me know.  I really have no idea.  I just moved to this area and I lost the ability to get any computer friends to help!  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I do wish I had the cash for a new system, but not possible at this time.
