I've never heard of that file, and it doesn't appear to be in my downloads folder. Was that a hack or a career? If it was career, I bet that the problem was me downloading a few Uni careers a few days ago from MTS2. Now I've got to find which the less awesome than this career is...

Hi all. Wondering if anyone might be able to help me on this. Sunday, I went on a downloading spree, as I do every Sunday Anway, after starting up the game and loading a family to place them in the neighborhood, I got an Object Error. The only option I had to get rid of it so the lot would load was "delete". Cancel and Reset did nothing. This is what the error says: Error occurred in object "Job Data-Teen Elder-Athletics" 235. Error: Invalid Constant. Stack trace saved in C:/Doc/name/My Doc/EAgames/TheSims2/Logs/Object Error._Noo1_t########.txt." (This number changes of course, depending on what lot I am loading.) Happens on all lots, including downtown. Once I got into a lot, I noticed Don Lothario had a want to retire and have a family reunion, although he is 22 days from being an elder. I moved him, bull dozed the lot and those wants went away. Not sure if that's relevant or not. I thought at first it might be the sitter1f. of dizzy's, so I removed it, but no change. The error continues to pop up. I decided to post here for possible solutions before removing all of my downloads. Thanks in advance for any insight. That's odd. I got the same error with "JobData - Adult - Law Enforcement". I've attached an error log, but I don't know if it will help in this situation. [attachment deleted by admin]

Speaking of that clothing tool, how does it work? I downloaded it and follows the instructions on putting it in my game but it doesn't appear to be functioning. It seemed to me like the globals package might belong somewhere other than Downloads, but I don't know for sure. I've been almost afraid to ask for fear of my lips getting ripped off. They're chappy enough as it is! Clothing Tool: Buy in Misc.../Misc for $5. Then, snarf clothes, or buy clothes. The globals package works so that when Young Adults age transition with a clothing tool on the lot, they are presented with the buy clothes dialogue to help in their adult life. The globals package may or may not be compatible with NL.

I wish his parents would give him his allowance for the game, or maybe they are buying it for him for Christmas. of course we all deceided he was a young kid and not an old man likes he claims to be. Did we? First I've heard of this, although it would explain why he has to wait so long for the game. Is he some sort of computer genius/boffin/nerdy-type teenager, then? See the thread " JMP and NL" for more conspiracy theories. I am now thinking that JM's copy of Nightlife has to go through the same process as the "Request to save Vogon grandmother from Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal" forms from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Without hacks, there is no accidental pregnancy. The Inteenimater includes a 5% (I think) chance of it happening, though I think you can disable it using the biological clock. Was the woman a YA, or older?.

As many times as I've been downtown, Mrs. Crumplebottom still hasn't appeared on any of my downtown lots. I want to see this purse whacking thing!
You don't have the latest version of TwoJeffs NPC & Visitor Zapper do you? That auto-bans Mrs. Crumplebottom from Downtown lots. If you do have it, just click on your active sim, then click Adjust.../NPC & Visitors.../Allow Mrs. Crumplebottom (or something like that).

Does it still work in the regular neighborhood, though? None of my sims are getting more than a couple of shrubs until that mod is updated. I tried having nice yards without it and there's just no way! The gardener comes and says, 'Your plants are in beautiful condition today!' and leaves. The next day all the shrubs need trimming, the weeds are knee-deep and the flowers are wilting and she won't be back for two more days. AAARRRGGGHHHH!
Does Macro.../Garden still work? If it does, you may wish to consider using that to garden instead of hiring a gardener.

You know, that pimply-adolescent theory could hold water. The 6-8 weeks may be the amount of time it takes to save up his allowance to buy the game. Silly Brynne. If money was really the issue, I'd just increase the subscription fees! That reminds me, I need to pay my renewal fees. Is the special still in effect? Wait a minute. Are you saying you didn't take the lifetime special (paid in advance)? Did you read the fine print on that? It's only good for a sim's lifetime, which is approximately 70 sim days (I think) or about 28 RL hours. Actually, I did. The small print says nothing about using aging off, and Inge's Heirloom Cake. It also declares the contract revalid if the sim is resurrected. Plus, I spend far too much time on MATY to do something as time-consuming as playing. Just check the "More Stats" link at the bottom of the home page to find out just how long I've spent here.

I think it would make more sense to wait until I have the game before worrying about modding anything. It's not due to arrive for 6-8 weeks. What about the objects.package? Or does that still have a few Microsoft hours (tm) to go?

I was also going to suggest the family funds cheat. It's never seemed right to me that a family of 8 starts out with the same funds as a family of four so I've never been against using money cheats in situations like that. You could put them on a smallish lot and just add enough money to their account to get them started with the necessities. I wouldn't feel like that was cheating at all. I don't know if this is any help, but I noticed today that, if I have the Mind Control Mirror in a lot (for example, the Gym, but a community lot should work too) then you can select and NPC, say, the Barista, and get them to serve food, and select the dorm cook and get them to work as barista. All the money they earn goes into your family funds! Mean or what? It may be mean, but it's downright necessary in some cases. For example, I have a bad bug in my game where vampires can't bite autonomously. Now, given my already poor choice of a sim to vamp, I would have normally left it well alone. Something aroused my interest of why the Contessa Sophia Conley couldn't bite. My soloution was to make her temporarily selectable, then Bite Neck. If anyone wants a look at the error log, you can't, as the game saved over it. But I do have an error log of Contessa Sophia's failed attempts to bite a different sim... Also, this has only slight relevance on the post quoted. [attachment deleted by admin]

If you have Windows XP and Microsoft Paint, when you save the file, just select a filetype other than .bmp. I recommend .PNG, as it is good quality, and a low(-ish) file size.

You'll have to use the "boolprop dormspecifictools disabled" (no quotes) cheat to access collections in dorms.
Isn't it "boolprop dormspecifictoolsdisabled false" (also no quotes) to access collections in dorms, and enable Buy/Build when there's a fire/on a community lot?

According to the Prima guide, if a sim is late for work three days in a row they get demoted. It's hardly the most trustworthy source, but seen as I don't have the game the guide is my only source of NL info.

Whoops. I knew something was wrong with that post, but couldn't for the life of me (or the lips) figure out what it was when I hit the post button. I normally play with Power Idle on, and freewill off, so the sims take care of their needs sans micromanagement. Is it true Nightlife has broke it, or is it just College Rampage that is broke?
