TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Invisible sims?

This happened to me too, after my sim got set on fire in a tomb, then used a dive well to extinguish herself. After using a shower in a can, she was fine, but it happened again after she got set on fire again. That time I used resetsim, and she was fixed. After seeing how it apparently infects other sims, though, now I'm starting to get worried...

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / So I think I just killed my game completely

I decided to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of TS3, because the 1.7 patch wasn't installing properly on my game, and I wanted to update before I installed World Adventures. I managed to uninstall and reinstall, but when I went to patch the game up to 1.27, it stopped on the "Full Build 0" package, and refused to go further. I tried replacing the Full Build 0 with the one on the iso file, but no luck. So I downloaded a different copy of TS3, thinking that it was something in the install, and maybe using a different iso file would make the patching work. However, when I go to uninstall TS3 through the Control Panel, it gives me an error, (-5005 : 0x8000ffff if the number is relevant). Is there another way to uninstall the game? I know that I can delete the program files and the registry files if I need to, but I have no clue how to do that. I'm sorry if this was confusing, but does anyone know of anything I can try?

Thus when you removed it I meant that I had not installed AwesomeMod at all
Hey, Ryslin, lrn2read. And theladyphoenix, if I were you I wouldn't touch the game until JMP gets a WA version of awesomemod. Or take out World Adventures if you really want to play. I'm waiting to install the EP, just because of all the glitches like these I've been seeing...

Okay, I'll try messing with my graphics settings and see what happens. I didn't even think of that.
Edit: I updated my graphics card, then went ingame to try to fix my graphics settings there. I changed some of them to a lower setting, and it froze on me again. I've also tried changing the affinity of the process, with each core, and it did nothing to help. I still have to shut the game down using task manager.

I'm running Vista Home Premium, 4 gigs of RAM, 285 gigs of hard drive space, Intel Duo core Processor, Intel graphics card. It's a Dell inspiron 1720... I'm not sure what other information might be relevant, but I'll look for it if it might help...

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / My game freezes for no apparent reason.

A few weeks ago, I installed The Sims 2 (with all EPs and SPs) on a laptop I just got. Now, when I try to run the game, it freezes at random times, and I have to use Task Manager to close it down. Most of the time, it freezes when there's something loading/about to load, but it will do it randomly in the middle of playing, and it isn't at any specific time of day either. I've tried taking out my Downloads folder, tried using a different neighborhood, different sim, different housing, but nothing has changed. I even tried reinstalling the game, but it still freezes. I also tried running the hack conflict detector, but there's nothing it has a problem with. I'm not sure what else might be the problem, so I'm asking you guys. Anyone got any suggestions?

I think I have something similar to this happening in my game, but mine is in the fridge like Silverdrake. I didn't have that mod that it accidentally removed, but I have blank refridgerator slots as well. However, for some reason my sims can't get leftovers out of the fridge. I think it's a problem with a plate of grape pancakes, but they can't be taken out of the fridge. There are other fishes that have blanks slots as well. Is there a way to purge the fridge or something?

All of his hacked objects are in misc/misc (except that damn fruitbowl, which I can never find).
The fruitbowl is in the gardening section of buy mode, just to let you know.

Given their track record to date, we're deluded if we think they actually care about letting us make our game truly our own.
That's the ridiculous part of it. So many people (including myself) were drawn to the Sims because of the ability to make the game into whatever you wanted, whether it be a medieval themed neighborhood or a Prosperity neighborhood, or whatever. By forcing players to adhere to one style of gameplay, it makes the game boring for basically everyone but the sheeple. And without CC, EAxis is eliminating not only the creators, but anyone who doesn't play exactly the way they want.

I originally had reloaded, but when I tried to patch up to 1.27 (or whatever it was called), it failed, no matter what I did, so I backed up my saves and CC and uninstalled it, replacing it with the Razor final version. From that I had no problem patching, but then again, the only mod I have in my game is Awesomemod, along with a little CC.

@Minena: I really like your house, especially the pictures and other little touches, which gave the house a little more character. The use of landscaping was nice as well, though I don't know how well that might do on a lower quality machine. Also, the one diagonal wall being stone instead of the green siding was an interesting touch that I would never have thought of. I'm snagging this house for my prosperity neighboorhood, it's perfect for one of my couples that are about to start a large family.
