1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 October 06, 04:17:38
Does anyone know of a decent, COMPLETELY BLANK world available? I'm a control freak, I like my neighborhood to develop exactly the way I want. I'm having a hard time finding a world that is completely devoid of buildings and people. The Sims, I'm not too concerned about (hellooo, destroyallhumans) but is there really no world files that have NO buildings at all?

I've searched high and low but the only thing I've been able to find for sure was the emptied Sunset Valley and Riverwhatever from MTS..

Not really sure of the style or size you are looking for but, you could try these.

Ohh, thank you. Those are awesome. Exactly what I was looking for! I only have the base game so the first one won't work for me but it seems like the second may be base game compatible.

3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Frozen Sims? on: 2009 December 08, 01:38:22
Thanks for the info, everyone. I'll deal with it until it gets fixed, whether it's a new EA patch or new AM. Le sigh.

So, today I reinstalled my game (I had problems before with updating to the new 1.7 or whatever) and installed the new Awesome Mod. When I loaded my game, (my legacy, whaaaaa!) my heir (teen) was frozen and I couldn't get him to do anything. So, I did resetSim and still nothing. I finally found that if I do resetSim and then clicked a random "Go here" or "Walk here" or whatever the hell, then I could interact with him again. Once that was all figured out, the clock struck one and the game crashed! BOOOO! So I changed my AM settings so that the AM Story Driver was on. And the same thing happened with the Sim, which I knew how to fix immediately. The clock strikes 1, I hold my breath, the clock strikes 1:01! YAY!

Then, another Sim freezes up. (Elder) UGH :| The way they freeze is really weird, they'll stand there, in a "hand on hip, kindof relaxed" pose, but any interactions you give do nothing, they don't move. I don't think they even blink. They just stand there. So, I did another resetSim and it worked.

Then, ANOTHER Sim freezes up (another Elder, female this time.) She freezes at the end of her shift at the hospital standing straight up with her arms sticking straight out horizontally. This time, I had to enter resetSim like five times before it actually works.

What is happening? How can I stop these shenanigans? Is it AM? The only other mods I have are some pieces of hair and Quick YAWN, if that helps. & I'm on a Mac. Don't know if that'll make a difference, either..?

Yeah.. I tried removing my mods folder but it did the exact same thing. I posted here because I wasn't sure if there was a way to "downgrade" my AwesomeMod, to a version that's compatible with the version of TS3 I'm playing. From what I hear though, it's looking like that's a big fat no for me :/

I'm definitely planning on reinstalling my game, but my disk is with my boyfriend 150 miles away :| I don't wanna wait two weeks to play!!! (insert tantrum here)

There's not a way to reinstall without my disk, right? I know, I know, it's probably the most ridiculous question ever. But a girl can hope, right?
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Can't run game, can't update, totally screwed :( on: 2009 December 03, 23:38:08
So, here's my situation:

Yesterday when I ran my game the thing crashed at the load screen (as soon as the video intro was done)

I'm 100% sure after trial-and-error and reading around this site that it's because I have the newest AwesomeMod and have not updated my game (it's v. 1.4.6.1)

But here's my problem- I can't update my game. It says error, and the error files are (to me.. maybe I'm wrong?) bullshit files to begin with (like, Czech language files have been modified- but I'm running the game in English!)

I took AwesomeMod out and the game starts up fine, but I don't have my disk (it's 150 miles away in my boyfriend's dorm! Grr.) and used AwesomeMod for the wonderous no-cd needed quality. Plus, I really don't want to play without AM.

What should I do? What can I do? Is there anyway to downgrade my AM?

I have a Mac, if that helps anything...

H'okay, so. The popup says "Some of the files have been modified! Please re-install" and the options are "Quit" and "View Log".

So I clicked view log.. And there's a section of red lines which I'm assuming are the errors. It's pretty hefty but I'll C&P it.

7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 22, 21:38:46
I had a problem- I'm posting it here because I'm not sure if it's my game/a glitch or related to the Awesomemod.

I installed the Awesomemod according to the directions I found on this site and at MTS. I'm about 98% sure I did it right. I triple checked to make sure I installed it correctly.

After starting my game (which loaded perfectly fine, no crashes/problems!) I played for about a minute and a half before my mouse disappeared! Sad
I couldn't see the pointer at all, so I keyboard shortcutted a Quit and voila! My mouse was right there on my desktop.

I've just removed the Awesomemod and I'm going to restart my game to see if it was a game error or an Awesomemod error. If I restart my game and the mouse is back, I'm going to reinstall the Awesomemod again just to make sure it was/wasn't the Awesomemod.
