1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 June 25, 14:32:03
I have read on another site that you can fix teens that suddenly come back from boarding school by deleting them using the 'moveobjects on' cheat. But since this has never happened to me, I cannot guarantee its succes, so I recommend saving your game before doing this.

I tried it out yesterday, on a sim who was a child who came home unexpectedly.  It worked for that I turned on "moveobjects" then picked him up, deleted him, and he was automatically back in boarding school.  Now if it works with the teen I don't know yet but I'll soon find out since he is in boarding school now as a teen.

Updated:
"moveobjects on" worked for my sim as a teen as well.   He has graduated and now has a diploma (as well as a job).

The whole dance thing does seem glitchy. I had two teenaged Sims suddenly return home in their formalwear. I didn't get any kind of notification about a dance, but I'm not sure what other reasons there could be for the clothing. Also, does every teenaged Sim get to go to prom? I've got one teenager who never got any kind of prom pop-up, and he's two days away from aging up.

I had all the sim teens in my household go.  The  boarding school teen's sister, who was in regular school, graduated and was then able to get a job.  It is like the game does not see the other two as young adults or teens (because they also can not get part-time jobs).

I think I need to play a few more generations of teenagers because the boarding school/graduation thing doesn't really make that much sense. I sent a teen to one of the boarding schools and he randomly came back one day, unannounced. That night, I got a message saying "That concludes the dance, make sure your teen goes straight home so they don't get into trouble with the police. Check your inventory for photos." Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember getting any notifications of a dance. Anyway, so he missed it, and he's been home for a few days now. He's 5 days away from aging, so why he's still home, I don't understand.

Also, it would make more sense to hold graduation on the last day of the teenage life, instead of after becoming a YA. The only plus was the entire family got a paid day off.

Ugh, another useless EP.

Just had the same thing happen to me with a set of sims both brother and sister.  Both came back or showed up at home from separate boarding schools to go supposedly to prom.  They went but afterwards they did not go back to their boarding schools, even though they have both grown up they do not have diplomas even though they should have.  The problem I am now having is that because they grew up and do not have diplomas, they can not get a job so they are pretty much useless in that department.  Anyone know of a way to fix this or give them a diploma?

6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poll: How do you feel about accidental deaths in the Sims 2? on: 2007 April 03, 02:24:25
I've had an accidental death just recently.  I had a sim who just graduated college, she was having a party, she invited her friends, and as she lit the Creme Brulée she then caught fire.  Everyone surrounded her and did the fire dance not helping her at all.  Through the whole thing my husband and I was laughing out butts off.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 01, 08:10:14
I've been having a problem (well two) where my sims (it's spring time) keep changing into there outer wear everytime they get out the door even when it isn't raining and it's dry outside (No puddles), does anybody else's game do this?   Another thing is my family has a pond on their lot and the can't fish in it even though I see fish in it, it's deep enough and I'm pretty sure it's big enough.  Funny thing in my game is the fish swim above the water and some how swim above the ground at times too.

Ok Thanks I'll go into it and look I think I remember stuff like that being on the table.  Knowing me it will be as you said..... Roll Eyes.
9  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Vanishing Food? on: 2007 February 01, 12:32:16
I've never had this problem before so I'm not sure how to handle it.  I've been looking all over to see if there is a way to fix it but have come up with nothing.

My sim went downtown to the Crypt O' Nite Club ordered some food (Prawns).  When the waitress came back with the food she sat it down on the table and the food vanished.  How do I fix this? Has anyone else had this happen?

12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Floating Head No Body Glitch: Please Help on: 2006 August 05, 01:49:56
I had a floating head happen in my game before too:

He was just a passerby so my game didn't crash or anything like that.  Although I had to delete that family because of this (he and most of his family were having this happen).

Everytime I try to take the survey I get this:   Sorry, but the survey is full. Hopefully, we'll catch you next time!

I guess I try back later and hopefully with get to take the survey, I'm all for the weather (they promised this A long time ago and never delivered on it).
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My ugliest in-game born child EVER! *Now with discernible features!* on: 2006 April 12, 19:11:04
Well, there is one thing about this poor simmy he seems happily oblivious to the fact that he is so fricken ugly.  Right now I have a little alien toddler girl in my game that has had the "hit every branch in the ugly tree" syndrome, I'm deciding whether or not to keep her or to just kill her when she grows up she is that damn ugly.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Talking Hydrobot on: 2006 April 05, 14:25:46
LOL Thats actually pretty amusing for maybe a few times around.   ::)But I can see where it would get annoying since I have had the problem with sims.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can you read to a group of kids? on: 2006 March 16, 20:19:39
It might come with the Family Fun pack thats coming up because I have never seen it in the game before.  Then again it may just be another lie our lovely friends at Maxis have rigged up to pull you in and buy it, but as to which never really exists in the game  Roll Eyes.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't they play their own game??? on: 2006 March 04, 04:56:19
I've got a new bug and the only one yet in my game.
It's where a sim will sit down on the couch play a video game then they'll get up and the couch vanishes.   Huh  Has anyone had this happen to them yet? Or am I the only lucky one  Grin .

BTW: I have since pulled out the video game system (in that house) and have had no vanishing acts with the couch.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So Who Has OFB, Then? on: 2006 March 02, 05:10:05
I got mine yesturday 2/28, I did the overnight delivery with EB Games. I went out today and got the game guide from Best Buy.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sentry bot - think what the modders can do with this one on: 2006 February 24, 16:19:42
I pre-orderred at EB games, checked my order, and it still says that the delivery will be made at 28th of March.

I also preordered from EB just checked the site again and it still says Feb. 28.  Although what will probably happen (even though I picked the fastest shipping) is that it will get here after all the stores have it anyways.  I'm only pre-ordering online so I don't have to go out with a 3 year old to get a copy and can stay home (and wait impatiently on the copy of it).
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Most Awesome Week? on: 2006 February 21, 13:28:55
I guess you could say I lurk more then post here too, since I only have 5 posts (well 6 because of this one) and I've been here since July 2005.   Never gotten my lips ripped yet, haven't said (wrote) much yet to cause that I guess  Cheesy.

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: this could be bad! on: 2005 December 08, 16:42:41
I've also had this happen to me a few time where the toddler gets stuck in the person who is teaching it to go potty.  The thing I noticed the most was that the toddler was "using" the bathroom in the other person  Undecided and while this was going on for some reason the "other" sim's need to use the bathroom was going up.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims Personality Test on: 2005 December 04, 05:19:44
