Not for things like windows or doors, Pescado.
seelindarun, most of the time I use the autoroof tool to get the type of roof I want over the fake bay and have the windows on the second floor already placed, then lock the roofs, remove the other roofs that aren't what I want and either use a different autoroof tool or just make my own roofs. Slightly more time consuming, but it is the only way I could think of doing it.

Probably. I am finding I am using the spiral stairs more and more now though, and only using the modular ones on the foundation. It just pisses me off that stupid EA keeps breaking stuff! I've noticed it has become almost impossible to place windows when there is a roof on the floor below, such as on a fake bay window. I used to be able to place them easily! This game infuriates me!

My personal experience is that any time someone reports inability to get a dormie to marry or move in, the first thing the troubleshooter should do is ask the name of the dormie.
Why the name of the dormie? Because it might not be a dormie. It could be a playable from the bin or anything.

Yep, use Inge's cat teleporter, make the dormie selectable, then get her/him to drop out. When you get back to the main hood she/he will be waiting in the sim bin.
I am playing everyone in Uni at the moment (I merged all 3 unis so I have all the playables from each in SSU), getting them into the main hood, before I start playing in proper rotation. I have had no issues with move-out as yet. Mind you I haven't tried moving any dormies in with my freshly graduated sims yet and I won't find out for a while.

The only time I ever use the 'call to eat' function is when I have a GC sim that wants others to eat the cheesy yumminess. I only ever use it on townie visitors anyway and I couldn't give a crap about them

Miros, it seems like you have a lot of custom foods, try removing them and any CC default plates, then seeing if the error continues. If not, then use the 50/50 method to see which one is causing the error.
If it isn't your custom foods causing the problem, then have you any hacks relating to serving size or food in general, such as leftovers hacks?

My version, it is a 2 double bedroom, 3 bathroom, fully furnished residential. Not quite awesomespec, for example, the front door is on the second floor and opens into the kitchen/dining room! On first floor (accessible from 2nd floor) there are 2 double bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Spiral staircases have been used internally. 2nd floor is the kitchen/dining room, living room, a bathroom, and a double nursery (with its own bathroom). On the third floor there is a skilling room which leads out to a covered rooftop deck with a hot tub. There is also a large uncovered part with axe-throwing, stargazing and a small seating area. There is also a small balcony with seating leading from the 3rd floor room. Garden still has the pond, and now has a playground and fruit and veg growing area. This has been playtested briefly and no issues, apart from the mailgirl trekking up to the second floor to place the newspaper by the door can be slightly annoying. All EPs/SPs, costs about §179k. At this point, I have experienced no problems. Except one...my teen outcast V pops errors (in debug) every time she hops herself off the bus and reaches around her back to leave her homework somewhere on the lot. All the rest of the kids in the hood are fine. It's only her. Her grades still go up so I'm not too terribly concerned. I doubt it has to do with whether the entire hood is borked. More just her hitting so hard on the Headmaster...a perk? I don't know whether this thread might be able to help you with that. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,14666.0.html
