26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 July 15, 08:07:49
I tried the TS3 LAA, the part where they asked us to edit in notepad.
So far so good. I managed to save.
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / RAM for the future on: 2011 July 12, 06:00:11
Hi,
I'm running :
Windows XP Pro 32 bit
Intel R Pentium R D 3 Ghz 3 Ghz CPU (XE 925)
Micro-Star P4M890M3-V Mainboard
GeForce GT 440 1024MB DDR3 graphics card
450 W of power supply
3G of RAM DDR2-SDRAM

I'm thinking of putting more RAM for the future and was wondering how much of RAM would I need in order to run all current EPs and SPs and taking into account future EPs and SPs (say maybe 3 EPs and a few SPs)?

I'm considering a Windows XP 64 bit or RAMdisk.

Edit : If I were to put 4G of RAM on this machine now, it might read 3.5 G. That would not be good enough?
If I understand correctly, I was thinking of installing 6 G of RAM, setting aside 1.5 G for my system and 4.5 G for RAM disk. Would this be right?
Truthfully if possible, I would really like to run XP on this machine.

No I didn't decrapify. I was reading the forum and I don't really understand how to do it. I might give it a try if I can later.

Edit : I decided not to decrapify as I'm not sure how to do it and I don't want to risk anything. I guess I'll back up that save in a cd for the future. I've decided to start up a new neighbourhood.

@ Naiad, Jeebus, Pescado, floopyboo - Thanks  Smiley
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 July 01, 03:40:35
Okay. I'll consider a 64 bit OS if my computer can handle it in the future and probably add more RAM too. I did shut down my AntiVirus but that too did not work. The twinbrook Sim went to the same vacation place as my main Sim and did fine. The game was smoother and I managed to save. I still could save my main game in the vacation hood itself but unfortunately when I get home, i get the error. Maybe for the time being I'll back up my main save for the future. I still love that neighbourhood.

edit : I changed my save location but that didn't work. I might try to make my neighbourhood smaller for a shot or play in a windowed frame.

Yes I've just formatted and have installed all the necessary programs. To be honest my comp has been in the hospital quite a number of times and I'm just happy at the moment it's up and running.
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 30, 16:20:55
@Jeebus
Okay, but I cannot change my processor now.
@ Naiad
Yes I think I need more RAM and will consider it in the future. I cannot reformat now as I've already just did it.
Come to think of it before this on my old graphics card before it got fried, everything ran fine with CC and all and I did not have save errors or anything but that was up to Outdoor Living. And a graphics card that wasn't as advanced as this.
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 30, 16:02:35
I just put in a new hard disk about a few weeks ago. At first i thought maybe it was a failing hard disk that was causing the errors but now it seems that it wasn't. I did think of a RAM update but since I was running a 32 bit and it might only recognize 3.4 or 3.5 G, I decided against it.
I'm not sure if my processor is a dual core. What does it mean to decrapify? Is it using a software to clear unwanted files and memory?
As my hard disk is new, I might try defragmenting later on.
I might give TS3 LAA a try if I can. I'm afraid to mess with system files.
My Sims was home when I tried to save.
I've tried finishing the vacation, it didn't work. I've tried playing without the CC (I chose the return home option), I still get that error.
I'm not sure but I think this neighbourhood is a goner. It's save file is quite big already, 500 + MB from more than a year of play. I'm beginning to think the game is too much for my computer to handle.
I'm going to give the Twinbrook Sim a vacation tomorrow.
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 30, 14:12:12
I've tried deleting the caches. It didn't work.
I'm running a Windows XP 32 bit on a MSI Mobo with an Intel R Pentium D (R) 3 Ghz processor with 3G of RAM and a Palit GeForce GT 440 1024MB DD3.
I'm trying to finish the vacation at the moment. I'll also try playing without CC.
I'm running all the expansion and stuff packs.

Edit : It's difficult and frustrating to play as it tends to hang after about 30min- 1hr of Sim minute and then continue to run. Sometimes it runs pretty smoothly and most of the time it hangs periodically.
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 30, 12:40:58
I've got CC, objects, paintings, cars and a no censor file. Normally I just install an expansion or stuff pack, it updates automatically. I don't usually download and install a patch because they normally cause me problems. I did play the back up save but unfortunately my Sim is already in vacation and I don't have a back up file before that. So far I've not send any of my Twinbrook Sims to vacation, I'll try that.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What is happening?! on: 2011 June 30, 08:53:41
I get that error 12 a lot. I once tried to play another neighbourhood then play my original neighbourhood and it worked. However recently that too has failed.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 30, 08:44:23
I've tried to combat the error 12. I returned my Sim home (they are about 2 or 3 days into a 5 day holiday) as soon as I start the game hoping that by starting afresh and having not used the computer much, it might save but I still get that error. After that I tried to save in edit town, change to another household  and even played another neighborhood Twinbrook (I managed to save that neighbourhood) but I still get error 12 on mine. However I realized when I tried to save the game in the vacation hood, it could save. It seems that the transition from the vacation hood to my sim hood won't save. I haven't tried to finish the holiday.

37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Change active household during vacation on: 2011 June 29, 09:29:55
Can I change to another household in my neighborhood if my current active Sim from another household is on vacation? I want to do this due because each time I send that Sim home, no matter what I try I get the error code 12.

-I've been getting error code 12 often now
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Setup couldn't detect game on: 2010 March 06, 04:20:36
I tried to patch my game (without CC or mods) to the latest and an error came up, 'The Setup has detected that no version of the Sims 3 High End Loft is installed. The update requires a previous version of the application to be installed.'
I've already installed High-end Loft without a crack and it plays fine with the CD.
Also I am using non-original software.
How do I solve this problem?
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Patching problem for Sims 3 on: 2010 January 13, 15:12:48
I've tried to patch my game because I want to use Create a World and an error which said invalid file found turned up.
Is it because I am using non-original software?
Is there a way around this?
40  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can I transfer my sims from one neighbourhood into a newly made neighbourhoo on: 2010 January 12, 10:22:57
Yes, with a few caveats: Transfer complete extended famblies as a single unit, never seperately, or you will get dupes and lost connections. You may have to move them in together to accomplish this.

Oh no.. I got more than 5 families  Embarrassed
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Can I transfer my sims from one neighbourhood into a newly made neighbourhood? on: 2010 January 12, 10:17:40
I might want to do that later on. Is it possible?
42  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2010 January 11, 13:46:37
When my klepto sims stole an object and placed it on the grid/ground in their lot, the object disappeared.
Also sometimes after coming back from the holiday, my sims relationship panel will be blank.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / After my klepto sims has stolen an object on: 2010 January 11, 13:38:29
I place it on the grid/ground in my lot but after that the object disappears! This never happened before I installed WA. Is this a bug? What can I do?
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / How to install The Sims 3 and its expansion in D drive? on: 2010 January 11, 03:47:15
I tried installing the basic Sims 3 it in D drive and the folders are scattered around, so I put it in a new folder and changed the target. The game is able to load (thank goodness!), but then, I have problem. I had the expansion installed along in the Electronics Arts folder along with The Sims 3 folder but the game couldn't start up and it resorted into telling me 'Error in start up' and asked me to refer to the Log. For referrence, These are the  sequences of the folders.

D:\Electronics Arts\The Sims 3\(All the other folders making up the game)

D:\Electronics Arts\The Sims world Adventures

  Huh
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lifetime Rewards and Food Spoiling on: 2009 December 05, 08:36:33
I realized after I installed WA, my food too spoiled less than a day it was made and the hack for food to remain fresh longer does not work. Hmm, it's getting annoying
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / I've just installed the Sims World Adventures and on: 2009 November 29, 09:35:21
now my Sims cannot communicate in any form.
What can I do? Is this a bug?

edit- I've tried running the game without custom content, it didn't work. Or do I have to remove it from the Mods folder?
I did not patch my game.

edit-I reinstalled Sims 3 and also the expansion pack. This time there was no cc or my saved game. When I played, there was only mean interaction and when I got them on the bed to woohoo, they sort of jumped of the bed and into another room like teleportation. Then I had the same problem again, they couldn't communicate.
