OOoooh ok. But I'm not using framework or install helper i'm just extracting it into the folder myself.  Do you really need the aweconfig? It goes into the same packaged folder right?

fork, RTFM and use search next time. Also read the FAQ for this forum before you get torn a new one (and this is me being soft with you because I am exhausted of negligent posters). The run on wall of text is painful -There has been way too many new threads being made when there is already extensive information in the questions thread!
127  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Can it be Wed 2pm at this house and last Friday 3am at that house? on: 2009 July 22, 19:02:49
Indiestone has an option to make the households you are not currently playing not progress in careers, death/births move outs/in on a house by house basis or the entire hood, so along with TS2 style aging that might be your best bet, and the suggested play one household for a week until certain time etc. I tend to up birthdays early using the debug cheat, and have massive death parties for generations of elder in the park at noon. The entire town comes by to say good bye and then there's a ghost afterparty at the graveyard (my hood is not very much unlike "Lois Lowry's The Giver ")
128  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2009 July 22, 08:45:23
I've got both 3booter and the FPSlimiter in root directory but every time I start up with 3booter the game gets to loading screen and crashes about midway through and then nothing happens. I have to manually delete the cache files in my documents and open 3booter again which then the game loads completely. I thought it would do this automatically? Using the newest version
129  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: BREAKING NEWS: TSR INSTALLS SPYWARE! on: 2009 July 22, 08:11:33
Mac users you should already have little snitch or something else blocking internet connections.
Can mac users even use this TSR tool? I wouldn't use it in any context.

For windows I have comodo firewall, it's extremely paranoid setting works great and if you can't learn how to write port rules maybe you should let someone else set up your internets. You have no one to blame but yourself if you download applications blindly. It's not surprising paysites give it the very least effort whereas the enthusiasts and the community who give it away for free have the best quality.

TS3 is going to be hell of a lot more picky about your modified content, so it isn't really hard to see the light this time. I don't like having to reinstall my games every five days, so I make backups, I read about what it is I'm actually sticking in there first and stick with creators who listen to feedback/update. I think some ignorant people imagine computing is magical powers that they have a right to service (paying for or not), and such things as hair helmets are from the computer gods of course- wonderful things, not photoshopped L&P cloned alpha edit EA hair that costs 4.99. Can't wait for what kind of abomination of payshit comes first.  Roll Eyes How I cringe at remembering watching someone opening her computer and ripping the video card out to wash it in warm water. No, I'm not saying TSR users are that stupid at all /sarcasm

Malwarebytes and Avast/Avira should be all you need after that.

I keep forgetting that you can't change prego outfits and typing "dresser" only to get a hanging loading screen and have to terminate the program without my data being saved  Angry

Thinking of making a ton of orphans for adoption instead just to avoid this.

but the baby has no relation to her husband. I thought Awesomemod would prevent this, or am I doing it wrong?

Did he have a father at all or it just wasn't the husband? There is that thing called marital affair which would have nothing to do with parthenogenesis.
132  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: How-to: Cleaning up the homeless scum in your town on: 2009 July 18, 11:10:24
Yeah it's unfortunate how it said it would move a kickout into a house, but they're definitely nowhere to be seen and in the homeless list now. It would be great to have a one in all command that moves every homeless family into a house that's under 20k even if they don't have a funds, as an alternative to gassing them. Because I like to kick out kids when they reach young adult hood but don't want to have to pick their house and furniture each time.

Edit:

When entering runstoryaction move in household I got this strange error, is it what you meant would happen if it couldn't work or something else?

133  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Downloaded Sims3 Skins With Links on: 2009 July 18, 10:16:24
-I can give a small review of 234jiao's skin. It was the choice for me because I play with mostly my Japanese hood, the females have a really nice smooth body that I like.  I would say it probably could work best as a mix and match with someone else's female faces. The males are too prominently muscular though. Even in the "less muscular" version, it might be too much if you play with different body sizes too much (as seen in the picture I posted in the picture thread of a shirtless guy). The faces though only work for asian or 'anime' styled sims though, it looked a bit silly on some npcs around the eyes.

-HP skins just are not my taste at all, I know she released that anti-pudding face mod also but I'm not seeing it. They still look pudding with her skins and custard mod, Sorry.

-I'm going to say from viewing Peggysims skins, her work is STILL not playtested, and the nipples/shading are completely ick in regards to anatomy. I took them out right away. The males were just awful can't even begin (I heard someone call it "landing strip" like an airport in another thread Cheesy)

Have yet to find an eye replacement to go with any of the skins that doesn't turn to crap. The reflection settings I like to leave on don't play well with replacements (creates a lens flare kind of glare in their pupils that makes them look weird in different lighting)

Not to mention he was doing that looking towards the pedobait across the bar gross Dx

Artie Page decided he wanted to die at the beach while the party was still waiting for the groom to arrive. The bride's brother who is a Coward, Athletic and Insane reacted appropriately witnessing death for the first time in his life.
135  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Story Mode on: 2009 July 16, 04:49:56
Turned Story Progression on in a save copy of my regular small hood that never had story progression on it quickly got to work moving in new random generated sims and creating chaos. Basically every few minutes the game would freeze (similar to that freeze people report when textures are loading), but everything would freeze not just sims. Then it got worse to the point of screen not able to move (scroll on edge on) even with pausing. Turning story mode off fixed it immediately. I wish there was a way to just work story mode with the sims I already have (so they can breed on their own), instead of trying to generate new ones to fill the quota en masse. Like ala notownieregen
136  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 July 15, 09:55:14
Yeah don't listen to EA support they are a big company who could care less about their players outsourced to hell probably. It's very upsetting this wasn't addressed in the patch because this time it's more than a problem for just the people who put 20 + tables with moveobjects floating over each other on their lots with 6th generation sims and ghosts, Not even taking into account min requirements for the game (or even worse playing on a shitty laptop) and with custom patterns then why their game is taking 20 minutes to save/errored out. /rant

Yes this crashing on save is annoying. I blame the cc in my case though because it wasn't happening before that. (removed 1 shit clothing pattern not as advertised crash seems to be subdue for now) and EA's shit job of removing player access to create content for this game making cc more likely to be incompatible with the game for a long time. This game unlike TS2 is more barred from modding with a vengeance - I am sure there is some Associate of EA monitoring this site, taking notes, so they can disable the mods here and try to make us PAY for mod tools come 1st EP.
137  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims finding new routes for walking stand still for hours. on: 2009 July 14, 04:04:21
In TS2 it took me a while to figure out that sims could walk between a sofa and a bed, and that a dining chair that was tucked away could still be in front of a counter that was in use and work. For TS3 I can have two sims in the park between each other "you are standing in my way" glare repeatedly even though there is a LOT of space! It happens less now with awesomemod, seems to resolve faster still makes no sense why they have this animation at all. They should have made them able to walk past each other regardless if they step on their feet. (Though that might have lead to a more annoying animation with EA's sense of humor)
138  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 July 12, 12:35:30
Don't know if it was specifically mentioned before, but for all of you still complaining about RLD>RZR patched game and having a shit of a time messing with registry on XP, the exact location of the registry keys regarding game version can be found here:
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{C05D8CDB-417D-4335-A38C-A0659EDFD6B8}

Yeah have lots fun with that. You are all honestly better off reinstalling than touching that (don't touch if you have no clue what you are doing on a computer but somehow managed to get here and whine I'm looking at you Audrey, noob) but even then you might have to mess with pasting the bin folder files from what people have posted here, which is what I ended up doing after reinstalling from razor. The patch is evil :/

Where should the file be properly placed?
140  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Config - Stylish on: 2009 June 29, 01:32:01
I think it's nice the stylish option for sites such as google but kind of silly to bother changing the lone Config page. Why would you be spending large amount of time on the Config page anyways? Should it not only take a few clicks to use and be done with it? If the text is too small though, there is a text only zoom option in Firefox (and most browsers?) under View > Zoom. I do use that, because my eye-sight is poor and the text becomes so small on my large widescreen monitor sometimes.
141  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 28, 23:34:35
So I've managed to update my Sims 3 to v1.0.631, but now I'm having the same problem as nanacake -- at first I tried to simply patch it, but it says I had the wrong regional version or something and it won't patch to 1.2.7 at all. Then I tried locating SKU in the registry, and like nanacake cannot find it (I'm on Vista32bit as opposed to 64, but my directories are the same as nana). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. After restarting my computer, I was able to find SKU in the register under the directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3, if that helps you at all nanacake. It may be different for you because you're under XP while I'm under Vista 32bit. Now to see if that patch doesn't crap out on me...

EDIT 2: The patch didn't crap out on me and the game runs fine, it's just that now Awesomemod doesn't work. I removed it and installed it again, but to no avail. I tried shift-clicking my sims in game and no pie menu option for changing traits or age transitioning appear. I'll try again, the third time's a charm...

EDIT 3: Awesomemod still fails to work in my game -- it's as if it isn't there at all. On a side note, when I first reinstalled TS3 I had to manually create the Mods\Packages folder. Does hold any significance?

Nope the sku is no where to be found, even after a restart, it's still the same as the directories/files I posted. Not sure if I will continue bothering with it, this game does not matter that much to me right now to be damaging my registry.
142  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 27, 20:47:20
If you're talking about the RLD to RZR update then you will need to do some registry editting to get it to work properly.  Locate the SKU file in your registry by either searching (CTRL+F) "SKU" or manually locating the Sims 3 folder.  In Vista64bit edition, it's found in this directory:  HLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sims\The Sims 3

If you use CTRL+F make sure it's the Sims 3 folder and not some other folder  Look at the directory to verify.

Next right-click on SKU and change the value from 7 to 2.  That should fix it.  Enjoy!

I'm using Windows XP so I do not know which registry file to edit from your instruction it is different.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Electronic Arts
Contains one key that says (value not set)

\Sims 3
has nothing

\Launcher\Settings
has six items in it,
CCDisabled
DateTimeOffline
FirstRun
PageIndex
UpdateMode

Could the last one be it? Data says 0x000...1 (1) Someone can tell me who knows this if that is safe to change or not?
Changing only the skuversion.txt did not help it to start. I am talking about the RLD TO RZR update, which seems like it was a bad idea now.
Also in case anyone inquires, file permissions are correct - so I really don't know why it complains about the version number :/
143  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 26, 23:33:56
Works fine on Razor, though.

I had used the update to Razor patch a while back, and my skuversion.txt right now said my game is 1.0.631.00002
but the patch .exe setup complains I have the wrong version patch and won't install, even though I grabbed the matching one from Awesomemod main thread so it should be the right version. (00002)

Is there a known reason that might happen? Is it upset it can't have access to the launcher.exe (Because I disabled it) or does it determine version only from the skuversion.txt
144  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 26, 08:58:52
Does the patch install clearly through or leave junk? Does it try to call home, or mess/move/delete up your downloads/saves? Should I backup?
145  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: IMPORTANT DESIGN POLL on: 2009 June 17, 21:02:54
On mac the scroll wheel settings can become pretty annoying for TS2 so I am not sure about TS3. I play on windows for TS3 right now, and the scroll wheel "button" works when it wants to :/
146  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Tipping question on: 2009 June 16, 22:19:08
The only *townies* in my game are the Bosses/Taxi Driver/Newspaper kid/A few co-workers. It has messed up a few opportunities because the sim it asked to continue a event with did not exist, but for the most part the Job latter works okay without many townies. I think because the bin families can not be deleted they're roaming somewhere in my hood, but I have not come into contact with them. I used the empty sunset valley by crazetex and destroyallhumans before making 10 families. All sims ARE townies now, so if you only want to play with your custom made sims, I'd suggest doing that and then setting story progression off. I haven't tried with awesome mod's TS2 aging, because right now aging in my hood is off until I want them to age.
147  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lot sizes! on: 2009 June 16, 17:28:14
But going from TS1 to TS2 was like Pong to PS2. TS3=PS3 just say no. 3s are bad luck numbers now.
148  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lot sizes! on: 2009 June 16, 09:39:25
Like why in the hell is everybody still the same gott verdammt height?

YES. Somehow I forgot this is not available, and could not figure out why Don Lothario couldn't flirt with two short girls he met at the library, turns out they are teenagers oops.

I'm terribly mad about the lots situation. I do not enjoy watching my sims take forever to walk up *beautiful* pathways to enter their home. I would love to have mini lots and a small hood again, with houses that can be placed very close by the town, and why couldn't they have included apartment lots? Is this going to be TS2 redux when it comes to expansions, what kind of scam is that? :/

149  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: House move fail on: 2009 June 16, 09:28:41
Moving is a big pain in the butt. Almost half of the items my sim took with him when he moved, were non customizable. I even had a few objects that couldn't be used after placed in the family inventory from a move. (Two chairs, complained route was blocked though placed them in the middle of a room with nothing near.)
150  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Secret Research Lab on: 2009 June 12, 16:48:37
I assume Ellatrue just edited the town lot and used move objects to move it? Should try it now!
Looks good! Will use it in my Riverview save Smiley
