101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crash to Desktop on Zoom in? on: 2009 September 22, 16:25:22
Also I am running the latest game patch, latest awesome mod, latest video card drivers and I have a ton of CC.

Did you try to reproduce the issue with CC removed? A theory it could be broken LOD from CC causing crash on zoom.
102  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 September 22, 16:17:33
That is just a default texture for when the game can't
A. Load the texture
B. Find the texture
Made a purposefully borked recolor and it shows this texture in my game.

Some reasons it can't load the texture in another case:
Memory leaks- this game has a lot. It depends on your system's spec and how long you keep the client open for. A restart may not always fix it because everyone's system uses different type of memory resources, but it could help.

Using EAxis' "voodoo"' recolors- This is a fault of maxis as already stated in this thread but to recap, I think it shows more incompetence of the creators. Instead of applying the new repository system Create a style thoroughly for all objects they used the method of the Sims 2 as well. I deleted all the objects/bulldoze lots of this nature and they do not appear with ? mark texture any longer.

Missing pattern- you did not install a pattern that came with a custom house. I can only imagine the nightmare people download from crappy T$R. If you want to avoid this mostly completely, do not use any installers! Install everything manually! Learn to use your computer to save your life one day.

The very first time I got the riddler wall paper was after the first patch 1.27 that I noticed it.Couple of nights ago I noticed the riddler struck again at my Goth house.I have since bought a new computer and this is a whole new game.I say there is a problem with the game it self or the very first patch.
With the latest patch this does not appear to be a problem on my system, I do think they realize the memory problems and tried to fix it but not well enough. There is 2gb ram, and ATI card the game runs fast until the create a style is utilized. Then it became a constant crawl with the flashing ? texture appearing if I am in the middle of my town. This disappears on restart.
103  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cannot Uninstall Sims3pack File on: 2009 August 15, 06:16:49
The green progress bar is the same as loading the main .exe. Try deleting your cache files in my documents and do it again. Next time don't use the launcher at all to do anything. Install package files, using 3viewer.
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Converting the Custom Radio Station to a new station / old TS2 Station on: 2009 August 12, 20:33:17
Just to be sure, I can download one of your packages, change the name of the station and it will auto create a new custom folder or? Because I wanted to make a new station, but do I manually need to create the folder station in my program files? I would put my mp3 files in there and they can play yes? Sorry I hope it doesn't sound dense, I like this work of yours a lot!

106  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Collection of Unedited and Backup Sims 3 Files on: 2009 August 08, 03:02:53
If you can help me get my sim launcher to work, you may be saving an innocent EA tech's life!

Is that some kind of bad joke? Are you implying you work for EA or that you are going to murder someone from EA? The launcher is evil! Avoid it! It does not have to be functioning in order to use custom content, S3 store items or otherwise.
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hex values for favorite colors on: 2009 August 04, 22:18:21
I've seen two sims chatting on the bed about their favorite colors. Do not remember if that resulted in any negative bubbles. Favorite food only has a use when another sim rolls want to cook your sims' favorite meal. Favorite music decides which radio station the sim will always turn on. I imagine most players have sounds muted though.
108  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Question about awesome skin blending. on: 2009 August 04, 15:00:10
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RGB

I don't think you can view the RGB value for skintone in CAS, since it's only selected by using a tint of the 6 presets.
Try using the command 'bodyinfo' on your sim, I believe one of AM's commands will show you the RGB of the skintone.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA patch notes lie on: 2009 August 02, 03:40:39
Looks like Nekonoai is INVADING THE WORLD, 5 TERLETS AT A TIME.
Yuh, I know who it actually is.
So putting dark clothes on a whale can make it look slimmer. The fat (sims) still makes no sense to me -for we now always are hovering omnipresent 3000 meters above Sunset Valley with this neat map tags. :/
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.3 Released on: 2009 August 02, 03:30:41
Lonesome Dove: What are you using to clean up your registry? Just manually? I used CCleaner and it removed all the registry files after uninstalling TS3, and I used it after all patching and it removed some more leftovers too.
111  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New Build of awsome mod causes my game to crash to desktop. NOT THE DON"T REPORT on: 2009 August 01, 00:45:45
I really think it's a matter of beating your game into submissions more. I left the script enabler in there and taught it to like it! Running the game with just awesomemod alone with no other mods worked like sticking the cd for just one go YMMV.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Mods and custom content Crashing the Game. on: 2009 August 01, 00:35:19
Try removing tight pants- doing a 50/50 removal test with your mods. I let AM alone without any of my other downloads which let the game load fine. In the end it was a nocensor package causing it not to load. Was interesting to me that broke with the patch. So it's not all CC but some of your downloads might need some updating fixes
113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installation of 1.3 Patch completely fucked up my game on: 2009 July 30, 23:45:28
Well trying to get these tight pants off, it seems strange because with my mods folder filled I crash to desktop with click on save load. But something strange is happening with the options menu for me (only shows just for a moment but maybe that's an unrelated problem with the fps limiter, unsure). Try deleting cache files in mydoc~ and removing all package files except for awesomemod and config file. Restarting the computer too and cleaning the registry this is the voodoo I mean.
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installation of 1.3 Patch completely fucked up my game on: 2009 July 30, 23:08:17
The BBS is shit. Looks like same error message I have also, maybe it is voodoo since I just search on this site and it's just a debug .dll. I have a feeling because I did not attempt to create a new sunset valley when reinstalling and just went directly patch after patch it is irreversibly broken. The afterwards placed framework, packages, saves etc back in seem to have no effect though so I will continue beating it with voodoo for a while.

EDIT: Minonda: Did you also replaced the TS3.exe at any time before this patch?

Got my game to load after fixing the broken options config (load it and save) and removing tight pants as well as voodoo! Weird. :/
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installation of 1.3 Patch completely fucked up my game on: 2009 July 30, 22:50:43
Having the same problem Minonda having just put in the patches after reinstalling. I had script error in and it complains about DasmX86Dll.dll not found.
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Death at a Birthday Party on: 2009 July 30, 14:57:26
I thought good sims would be quite upset at death? I know my cowardly sims fall over and faint from the sight of the ghost but that doesn't stop them from having a good time either. It makes sense for evil/criminal sims to enjoy they always clap. I think it'd make for a more realistic party if events at the party created problems. (ie Fire etc)
117  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Game Hangs on Move Out with Awesome/Indie Stone on: 2009 July 30, 14:14:58
I've had move out problems where the game seems to stop, then the icon of the person who was left in the now deactivated household is still loaded as my active sim. I can't click off of them and eventually all my controls become messed up. The camera stops the zoom to the new lot, so I have to restart. Though restarting it and trying again it worked the sim time was late at night but I play with immigration off/stasis on if that matters. Lots of weird lag issue with the sim picture icon getting stuck on another active sim.
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Death at a Birthday Party on: 2009 July 30, 14:08:31
I've had multiple deaths at wedding parties and it doesn't make sense that the party still is a success after all that. People were still crying and then left saying they had a good time!

As for EA, I didn't know to laugh or cry when my husband picked up Burnout Paradise - you have to pay real money to get the vehicles in the auto shop! How do you even play offline single-player then with only one car?  On the back of the box it even says "Your FREE* Burnout Paradise bikes pack is ready at the online store simply login!" They couldn't write FREE without an asterisk immediately after *you'll have to sign up online and register with all your documentation first.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: White recolor of town hall(Updated and non-replacement) on: 2009 July 29, 06:56:53
Is it possible to add 3d buildings from something like google earth?

I would really like to see something like this as a sports centre in TS3.
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=5598959d360a6e20fe475a95d460f2dd

Yeah in theory I think this is possible, I've gotten up to the point of modifying the .dds but I'm having trouble extracting the mesh to milkshape but that's probably my lack of experience in that (need plugins maybe) so I will search more at simlogical for more advice. The only thing is making sure it looks good zooming camera out and that it lines up with everything else.
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: White recolor of town hall(Updated and non-replacement) on: 2009 July 28, 23:37:42
With the cloning does S3PE create a new id automatically (so it doesn't replace anything) or must I do that manually? Thanks I'm going to try it out.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: White recolor of town hall(Updated and non-replacement) on: 2009 July 28, 16:46:46
I'm pretty interested in how this was done, is there a tutorial somewhere? I would like to make my own new meshes for the rabbit holes for different themed hoods, is that possible without graphical glitches even, because I would be removing the entire clock and structure. The particle or light effects could be removed somehow I hope as long as there's no overlay by the client.
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hard-to-find conversational options on: 2009 July 27, 18:34:52
So if they're all the same 9, does it have no effect on the image the speech bubbles show at all? I thought it did a little bit.
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Which files are needed to transplant old game into new? on: 2009 July 27, 10:50:03
Are you sure your current household wasn't just switched to another house? If it moved them to another lot while story progression was on?
Your family might still be there but the thumbnail might not be loading them (you'll see a ? cut out family icon).

Are you playing a Riverview save? I had a problem with it on reinstall, because my I did not reinstall Riverview and other store items first before loading.
124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creat a style drop-down menu spazzing.. on: 2009 July 26, 22:19:37
CAST increasingly gets slower for me, not sure if it's because of the fps limiter or what. I eventually have to restart client when it gets too slow -which leads me to a theory, it's a memory leak problem.
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: How-to: Cleaning up the homeless scum in your town on: 2009 July 24, 13:03:54
I don't really mind the homeless existing if they'd just show up at the park more so they could be potentially brought back into society by singlets and have their kids taken away making the adoption pool larger. A 100% working move family into lot command, regardless of finances, that would be cool.
