@J.M.: Filesize of Sunset Valley yesterday: 58MB
Filesize of Sunset Valley today, with the actual version of awesomeMod: 44.2MB
That's an absolute normal value.
You sure have done a great job here, J.M.!  Smiley

54  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Neighborhood population out of balance or what is happening? on: 2009 July 19, 13:22:49
Hi,
I'm running awesomMod with "NoOneGetsOutAlive", "NoBusKills" and so on. I have the story mode enabled but all households I play with are "sacred" (about 50% of the population). Aging is turned off. So far for my game config.
Yesterday I played several families in Sunset Valley. About 2 or 3 new familes have been created by the story engine. The size of te savegame exploded about 14Megs in just one day (which is 57.6MB total by now)! I have an idea about that but please don't hurt me if I'm wrong. Could it be that creating and moving in new families while not allowing to move out or kill "unsacred" Sims brings the population out of balance? I don't know, has EA implemented a population balancing system which is not working properly anymore due to awesomeMod?
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What 5 Buy Mode objects would you like Modders to make first? on: 2009 July 15, 20:59:21
1. A hot tub! This object has been important for relationships in Sims 1 and 2 and it also would be helpful in Sims 3.

2. Aquariums in 4 different sizes (1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 3x3) with the ability to hold (and show!) all the fishes a Sim puts in there. So the lifetime wish for the perfect aquarium would make sense at last.

3. Elevators

4. Spiral staircases!

5. A coffee-hack which fills up the energy bar. Oh and while we talk about coffee: A cheap coffee machine would be great, too.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Trash compactor sound emitter attachment crap on: 2009 July 15, 20:49:43
Hi,
I don't know how the developers at EA could have messed this up but they did. I'm talking about the sound emitter for the trash compactor. Every time a Sim uses this object, the sound emitter is attached to the Sim! So when he walks away the sound goes with him.  Undecided
I know there are more important things to fix but maybe it can be put on the ToDo-List.
57  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What about the binary data in aweconf.package? on: 2009 July 15, 16:52:34
Thanks J.M., I will keep using the configuration page.  Smiley
58  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / What about the binary data in aweconf.package? on: 2009 July 12, 13:59:00
I see the binary data in the aweconf.package at the top and bottom changing when I change something with the AwesomeMod Configuration tool. So I wonder if I have to change those binaries as well when I change some of the settings in the XML-part manually.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Cleared out apartments: Really an intention??? on: 2008 August 31, 09:44:51
Well EA tells us that it is intended to be that way when most of the furnishing of an appartment disappears when rented but I can't imagine this is true. Why? Simply because of the investments a Sim has to make. Besides paying the weekly rent (which is always extremely high compared to what we get in exchange) he also has to buy all the new furnishing and decoration. At total this is more expensive than buying a regular house! So why the heck should I rent an apartment? It don't make sense that way!
Morover it takes a lot of time to refurnish an apartment which was fully furnished before!
I came to the conclusion that I will play with the premade apartment inhabitants but I won't add new ones.
Intended behavior or a huge bug which EA puts in disguise by saying "it has to be that way" ?
However it is absolutely annoying!
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for a sunbath hack on: 2008 May 20, 23:46:26
Yes I tried the search engine but all I found was a "NoAutonomousSunbathing" hack. Thanks for the hint for Simlogical.  Smiley
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Looking for a sunbath hack on: 2008 May 20, 18:17:53
Hi,
I'd like to have a hack which makes it possible for my Sims to sunbath everywhere outside during summer, not just at a beach.
Greetings
Cyron
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 25, 12:48:15
I've had a bad experience yesterday and I wish there'd be a hack against it. That happened:
A mother served apple juice for the kids so they can do their homework faster. A Servo is with the family. He used a moment when I wasn't watching and he put the plate with the aple juice glasses into the dishwasher! Man I was so upset about this I moved out that pesky robot.
What's also annoying is the fact that a Servo puts away a second cup of Espresso. I often serve Espresso but it's mostly of no use when there's a Servo in the house.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Obsolete property states, how do I get rid of them? on: 2006 November 13, 22:20:18
Hi ness,
my wife removed the set completely from the harddrive and from any archive. She don't feels like downloading it again because she is rather frustrated after so many trials.   Lips sealed
What the heck, it's not my problem. All I can say is, sorry for your inconvenience.  Smiley
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Obsolete property states, how do I get rid of them? on: 2006 November 12, 17:12:04
Cyron, what happens if you try to put the objects with "moveobjects on" activated?

It's just the same. Embarrassed
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Obsolete property states, how do I get rid of them? on: 2006 November 12, 12:45:40
Sorry guys the stuck object remover didn't fix the problem. Even placing the remover on the surrounding tiles couldn't fix it. We now try to rebuild the room (including the roof). I'll report back later.
EDIT: Rebuilding the room was useless.   Sad
We did some little research:
1. There has been a wall mirror before the set was deleted.
2. Endtables can be placed as usual. All other objects which have a certain side for access (like kitchen counter) are misplaced.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Osolete property states, how do I get rid of them? on: 2006 November 12, 00:28:55
Thanks, I'll try that.  Smiley
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Obsolete property states, how do I get rid of them? on: 2006 November 12, 00:23:52
Hi,
is there any way to get rid of obsolete property states of certain ground squares?
The following happened: My wife had Numenor's race car set (Maxis lost&found) in her game and made a kids room with those objects. Later she decided to delete the whole set from the game. Now that she is about to place new objects into that room she encountered a weird effect. Whenever she wants to place any object on a certain square, it rotates 45 degrees and the offset moves from the center to the edge. The object is halfway through the wall that way. I assume there's still some obsolete property value with that certain square. How can we get rid of this?
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Interesting bug? on: 2006 March 28, 13:54:24
Thanks a lot.  Smiley
So this is still not fixed with OFB?
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Interesting bug? on: 2006 March 28, 12:14:44
Hi there,
I found something interesting recently. Well maybe you guys know already but it's new to me.
I had one household with aging off. The girl from there moved into another Sim's house which I played with aging on. She brought 3.5 million Simoleons into the household! I know for sure she wasn't that rich before. I think it has something to do with the aging cheat.
Their budget has reduced to a reasonable amount after the installation of OFB but I'm not sure wether this might happen again if I repeat this method with other Sims because I didn't have the time to do so. Is this bug gone for good with OFB? I hope so.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug messages on: 2006 March 08, 07:33:36
I'm glad I didn't have to find that message on the BBS.  It was followed by idiotic gasps of

"NOOOOO!!!!111!  BAD BOOOLPROP!!!!11!!!"

That and several other reasons are why I'm here.  Grin
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug messages on: 2006 March 07, 14:01:48
That's great news. Thanks a lot.  Smiley
So I'm on the safe side when I use this method.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug messages on: 2006 March 07, 08:05:54
Thanks.  Smiley
I just found another thread regarding the senso orb, so this issue is known. There's only remaining the question what's being deleted when I click on the delete button. Is it just the faulty data in the lot- or character file(s) or does it change something in the core data (so clicking the button affects the whole game)?
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug messages on: 2006 March 07, 07:23:35
Uhm... anyone? You can speak C++ if you like.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Debug messages on: 2006 March 06, 11:46:43
Hi there,
I read (at EA BBS) if we have troubles getting our lots loaded with OFB we should turn on testingcheats and try to load the lot. In case there's an error message coming up, we should click on "delete" and the lot loads. I tried this and it works - BUT
- what am I deleting there? For instance, my error messages (this happend two times with different lots) told me there's a problem with a 2D texture on an object regarding the renuyu senso orb (strange, I didn't use that object on those lots). Sorry I don't have the exact words off hand.
