Title: Large Family Home
Post by: witch on 2011 January 14, 06:17:23
Virgali reminded me that I had been intending to share my main sims 3 house. It's seen three generations through it already and works just fine for me. I do play with a decrapified save, so you takes your chances. It's a 40x40 lot with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The routing seems to work well because there's a large central path right through the house. There is room on the beach side of the house for a nice verandah with barbecue, and possibly room for a pool. I believe the only extra content is from the store.

The original sims were great travellers in their younger days, and although they're limited to group bus tours in their dotage, their furnishings reflect a more adventurous past. The lot holds a mature garden and most fish species - except for the harder ones which I have not finished collecting yet. In fact, now I think about it, the chests in the cellar/basement contain most of the seeds in perfect form. (Except for omni-plants and possibly money plants). There may also be rocks and gems stored there, it's been some months since I played this family.

If you want lot edges to work properly, the house fits on this section in the original neighbourhood.

Hmm. Well. That's way super nicer than the one I'm building for Virgali.

Yours has paint, for instance.

Well, it's been worked on since World Adventures came out, so it has had time to mature. It's still not finished.

You can't put it there!  That's where Thornton and Morgana live.

In a new game the Wolff family live in the house at the END of the road, out on the point, not the one where witch has placed the 'X'.

Oh look. It's cwurts, trying to tell people how to play their games. Again.

I am stunned by the hugeness. It reminds me a lot of the typical legacy house you'd get after a few generations of legacy play in TS2: pretty much every skill/hobby object and sprawl.

I thought of you and had a good chuckle when I posted this. I figure you could fit a whole town in that space.

You can't put it there!  That's where Thornton and Morgana live.

Shall I tell you where you should put it then?

Amazing! Eventhough it's not a modern style it's a very nice lot and seems very practical indeed. The garden and fish is a wonderful bonus eventhough I said I didn't like ponds.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

ETA: When you say "chests" with seed, are you talking about the "box of seeds" mod form MTS? I suppose I don't need to have the mod installed to have access to the chests on the lot?

Cheers for that.

No, I mean the chests that come ingame from Egypt etc, I have filled them with perfect seeds of most varieties.

Aha! I'm not really familiar with the WA objects. Even the original location is perfect since I wanted to move my sims in the lot nearby.
