The vacation hoods are EXTREMELY unoptimized for pathfinding. There's fixes for them on MTS. Once I got them, I haven't hit that many issues in the vacation hoods relating to pathfinding.

Seriously? ONE sim? I can't say I've noticed this. I run entire famblies of 4 or 5 sims along with several others in other households just fine. Admittedly I have a fairly beefy machine, but TS3 is extremely bad at using newer machines anyway, so the performance difference should be minimal at best, since TS3 is still single-core-only, having basically no ability to use multiple cores. The only reason I can think of that this might happen is that you've constructed an intentionally degenerate neighborhood optimized for worst-case performance of everything. I can't even imagine what that would look like.

There is no fix. The suggestion was to go back to the last saved game before the issue was presented and installing the latest AwesomeMod, which I already did. But this did not fix the issue.
I have a backup of my game before traveling and I still use it to test many differents way to come back from traveling and avoid the sim jumping out of bed but nothing sims to work. I continue to play (keeping always the good backup copy) but I cannot send them to travel because they come back with the same bug.

Thanks. I saw that one before but didn't post there because it was too old and seems no one found a fix. I will wait until someone repairs this glitch.

Well, no, these items (boots and tracksuit) appear to be ea's.I would never download mid-thighs boots.

First of all, my avatar was chosen because my name is CLmeow, CL standing for Cat Lady, and that chosen because I have cats, not because I have furry sims.  Sims with ears and tails?  YUCK!  I thought it was fitting for me.  A cat shaped lady.  I think it's time to change it.
Now down to business.  My laptop runs Vista.  32 bit os, 3 gig ram.  I have run all the current Sims 3 stuff packs and expansions up to Generations (have not bought that one yet) with little trouble till recently.  Now the laptop is dying.  The motherboard is losing the link to the screen and the only way to fix it they say is the replace the motherboard, so i am getting a new laptop.  This is not the only trouble I am having.  I also lost the ability to play the Sims.  I had to uninstall all Eps and have reinstalled only the base game as I said above.
I have followed instructions I was given and have removed all the dll and resource files from every place I put them, patched the game fully, and as I had already followed the instructions at MTS that were unhelpful, I am at a loss as to what to do now.  The resource file is correct.  It is the newest one to be had at MTS.
The hugest problem I have at present is 3booter.  I just had a thought though.  I will redownload it and try it once more.  It keeps going in circles instead of booting the game.  The game does not launch, instead it brings up the black 3booter box, then the screen goes black as it should to launch The Sims, then it crashes and then 3booter lauches again.  What on earth could be causing that?  If somehow I corrupted 3booter, it will fix it if I redownload it.  Will be right back.

Edit: I downloaded 3booter anew and still the same, no launch of the game, just a circle.  I hate leaving the damned disc in my drive which is why I use the boot and refuse to use the stinking launcher, so gotta get it working.  Can't test the CC to see if it's working yet it the game won't launch!  I had followed the instructions at MTS before and my CC would not work before which is why I came here for help for what I had missed.  I am usually good at following instructions and it takes a lot before I resort to asking for help.  And thank you for the advice so far given.

Not even ESL, the OP said she was translating on-the-go from a dictionary. As someone who has had to do that before, I think the hostility in this thread is a little unwarranted. I think this was more of a "failure to communicate" than a "special snowflake" situation.

I've tried the moving in and out thing already. I do need to test with my entire downloads folder pulled. I didn't think to pull it because it was only a problem on one lot. 

^ That is happening. Didn't have any trouble until it was time for babby to age up. It only appears to affect that one kid, as it's twin does not resemble a badly rendered torus. Using AwesomeMod, Twallan Mastercontroller, and Twallan Storyprog.

The difference between extracting them as package files is that they weren't intended to be used that way while the dbc method is doing what the launcher would've done. Which is why I rather use the dbc method.

Either way you mentioned that the launcher doesn't install the sims3pack files unless the instance number is changed which means that if I use another program to install the sims3pack files they will get installed. So the code preventing the arred stuff is in the launcher rather than the game.

So I was wondering why going through all that trouble when one could simply make another installer tool. Unless the code preventing the stuff from showing up is encoded in the game itself. That's all I wanted to know.

I also find it very annoying that tools don't come with a RTFM anymore. It's very inconvenient not knowing what this thing does exactly. I'm still not sure what the recompressor does either. There's no description other than "with more features" and "fixes busted-ass store sims3packs". Why do I need to run the files in s3rc after decrapifiying?

A lot of the information out there is how to install the content with the launcher while I see nothing about bypassing and/or substituting the damn thing in the first place.

I recently patched my game (on the Launcher it says that it is Version 1.18.9.009017, I don't know what it was before). Previously, AwesomeMod was working just fine; after, when I tried to install some Sims3Packs, an announcement came up that basically said that I had to update the Mod, which to my knowledge I did correctly following the installation instructions provided in the sticky. I downloaded and unzipped the mod into my Mods>Packages folder and into the appropriate subfolders. No dice. Then I tried reinstalling the framework into the main Sims 3 folder, which didn't work either. I have since been steadily trying everything that I come across, but I'm not really tech savvy at all, so I don't understand a lot of this. All I know is that at present, I can't get the mod to work, very little of my CC is showing up (seemingly everything that is in .package format) and I'm ready to throw things. Help?

One thing that I know I have to do is edit the Resource file, but I don't know how to do that.

i figured out why.
the consignment store was broken because some of my previous items were in negative days of sales (due to a bug that items not sold after 5th days wont be returned but instead goes into negative value).
i went to cancel all my previous consignment thru "cancel consignment" then re-do the consignment, then the shop starts selling again.

Technically, there is, because the comma after the "and" means the "and" is being used as a co-ordinating conjunction, so the second clause needs a subject and a verb because otherwise it is a fragment.
