Maybe it's just me, but I've alwways found those cats to be scary
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: anyone else have this? on: 2006 October 22, 20:14:49
I know Inteen wasn't compatable, thats why I took It out. I put the hacks folder on the desktop. The game shouldn't be able to "see" it from there, right?

Have you run clean installer to look for any hidden mods?

How would I do that?
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: anyone else have this? on: 2006 October 22, 19:09:57
I'm having a lot of the same issues, but without the error messages. Mine starts in the CAS.

Why is this model back threre? When I try to turn her, I end up outside the CAS house.

I just made the cat black since I couldn't see it.

Observe the possessed food bowl. If I tell her to fill it again, then it goes back to the ground.

I deleated all characters and . . . well . . .

It's like the paperboys hit a wall and the it's another day, but time hasn't moved. I had to use the move objects cheat to get him off my lot.

I still have all of my downloads except for my hacks folder, but the game keeps trying to give me inteen options. I had a hard time installing the game and now it takes a half an hour for the game to load.

HELP!!!

Oh, I agree, I hate that too. The cats get the old newspaper to the head when they do jump on the furniture. We just thought it was funny that it could interact with a custom object when Maxis mad such a fuss that they couldn't.

Besides, nearly all my houses have custom funiture anyway, which I would NOT redownload so the dog could plop his nasty behind down on it.

My sister just took a picture of a cat sitting on a cutom, pre-Pets counter. I think it depends on the object.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bining custorm hair on: 2006 October 13, 13:45:07
Thanks everyone! I'll give it a try.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Bining custorm hair on: 2006 October 13, 12:37:12
Is there a number or something that I can change using SimPE that will allow me to bin the custom hair that I've already downloaded without FUBAR-ing my game?  Huh
I don't mind having most of it under 'custom,' but it's now taking too long to search through the bin for hair.

I need to throw together a beach commiunity lot for a contest and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I should begin.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Your Choice Image Editimg Program on: 2006 September 18, 15:34:31
I like Photoshop 7 and whatever comes with my newest digital picture taking device. And Paint when I don't have another choice.
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Mesh on: 2006 September 15, 22:03:05
I had this one in my game when I first started playing the sims. It was one of my first DL as a matter of fact.  I deleated it because the sleeves keep folding back into the body like wings. It looked odd.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Mesh on: 2006 September 15, 14:21:28
I didn't know Helaene made clothes. I'll give it a shot. Thanks
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Mesh on: 2006 September 14, 21:47:06
Kinda . . . but not Kinky-Ho.

I just like the look and it's kind of boring to have all my Japanese sims in kimono. And my kids and men don't have anything traditional to wear.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Mesh on: 2006 September 14, 21:09:46
Yeah, I have Rose's kimonos, what I'm looking for is hakama pants. And ther are no kids kimonos anywhere Cry

Any money they get counts, as long as they earn it.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / New Mesh on: 2006 September 14, 20:59:42
Maybe this has been requested before, but is there anyone out there that can make a new mesh for these? I lack the talent and the time, but if someone can make the mesh, I can take care of the other stuff, like patterns and design. You know, the easy stuff.

Or even for a man? Anyone?
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour question on: 2006 September 08, 14:58:43
I like it a lot. But also remember that when *THE PACK THAT WILL NOT BE NAMED* comes out, there won't be any people stuff in it, so if you want any new clothes, you'll need GP
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 05, 19:26:58
Well, everything was uninstalled and reinstalled, TS2, then GP and Uni and NL in that order, just to be sure. She's now a very happy camper as everything is now running smoothly. Thank God for external HDD.

Thanks for all the help guys and gals. Kiss
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 03, 18:08:57
The error message appears to make reference to the base game.  I've not purchased any "stuff" packs so don't know if error messages refer to the packs by name.

Can your sister open and play TS2, and have it run "normally"?

Is she playing just the base game or does she have NL?

Am a bit confused on what was uninstalled and reinstalled, so please be patient.

She has NL and Uni. And Yes she can play NL and it run normally.

Something went wonky in the installation and it looks to have screwed up even the base game. Make sure her neighborhoods, downloads, etc are backed up, uninstall the entire game manually (that means going into her registry to delete all the files that are probably left behind), and then reinstall.

I know, it's the cliche answer, but if it's corrupted the base game, or it thinks it has, there's no other way.

The game even tells you to back up before you install for times like this. Why they don't try to FIX the damn problem(s) instead of just warning us about it is obviously some Maxian reasoning, but you can't say we weren't warned.  Roll Eyes

Thanks. I suppuse she can try that. I hope it works.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 03, 02:12:56
Ok she tried installing again, and here's a screenshot of the message.

No, I mean remove the folder now and then install.  Smiley

Huh but there's no folder there.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 03, 00:43:44
Is she installing the game into the default directory? Try going to that file path and removing the Glamour folder that the game placed, that should let it finish installing.

Yeah she is installing it in the default directory. Do you mean after the game is almost done installing, remove the folder when it gets to the updating software point?
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 03, 00:17:10
yup. She even backed up all her game data.

It shouldn't matter that she doesn't have OFB or FFS, right?
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Glamour pack installation problem on: 2006 September 03, 00:11:01
My sister's copy of Glamour pack refuses to install properly.
The very first time she tried it, it did just fine, but it didn't show the message of updating the software. So of course assuming all was right with the world she started up the game, but the CAS didn't work. There was no model sim! Angry So she exited and restarted a few times, still with the same result.
Then she tried uninstalling and reinstalling; this time it showed the message about updating the software, but it said that her game was not installed or improperly installed and cancelled the installation. She's tried reinstalling the game about five times still with the same result.
Any help would be most appreciated!
