Title: I love this site...
Post by: mistymage on 2006 September 11, 23:13:47
I love MATY.. but I also wanted to share this site http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/aftermidsims2/ (http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/aftermidsims2/) .. not only is the dolphin bathroom window gorgeous..  I loved the whole bathroom set.. the hottub is especially gorgeous!

I wish my CC would turn out as nice as the many things I've downloaded for Sims2 have .. although the kitchen counter with my cat's face on it turned out ok.. except the pic is sideways .. <sigh>

After Midnight Sims was always one of my favorites - you have very neat and quality items (especially the beds), which I use a lot...:).

pop-unders? Are they related to pop-tarts errr popplers errr pop-ups? ;D

I didn't see any ads other than the normal angelfire header ones.. but I'm using Firefox and have it and my virus stopper set to not allow pop-ups.

Please don't say you meant that when the sims are in the hottub they get stuck in a Kewian avatar fashion! Now I have to go design a house using that bathroom.. and some sims to play in it just to see if that might happen! (I'm a chronic new hood starter .. as the Fishman has said .. I cheat too much and then I get bored with my sims.. but I love making new houses even if they aren't Awesome.)

Yeah, I have Firefox and the pop-up blocker, too, but that doesn't stop pop-unders. It wasn't a problem if I right-clicked and saved as, (and I got just about everything on that site! lol), but if I clicked the link directly, some of them shot up pop-unders under the main screen. Saying I'd won something. I must be the luckiest person alive. I won so much stuff!!!  ;D

No firefox install can be complete without the NoScript extension.  It blocks all scripts from running unless you allow it.  You can either put a website on a safe list or simply allow scripts to run for that particular session.  It's selective as well, so you can allow a site to run scripts, but not allow all the rest of the garbage that's trying to runs like, for the  website in this thread,  lycos.com, realmedia.com, akamai.net.

Most of the time it's quite unecessary to let scripts run, as they aren't for your benefit.  Occasionally I have to allow scripts in order to use drop down lists and some search functions.

So the result of using NoScript, along with flashblock......no dancing hampsters and no pop up, pop under.  The net is such a nice peaceful place :)
