1  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 August 27, 23:09:26
I had weird issues with trying to create a new custom neighborhood (kept crashing after it created the pets) so I deleted my EA Games folder to get a new one, figuring I'd just play Pleasantview for awhile. Except I don't have a Pleasantview. I have all the other ones but the game didn't create a PV. How to get it back?

1.5 gig... I know I probably need more but I'm not all that concerned about the crashing... it's annoying but I can live with it. I'm just concerned about the extra character files being created every time it crashes.

nope... I've created 2 YA sims, in CAS, but that's it.

After I installed my fresh copy of PV, I did install a house from a packaged file but it was my own house and had no sims (wasn't even a finished house).

Long long time lurker... I don't talk much. Tongue

I have a problem that I can't figure out. My game crashes all the time after a while of play (sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes an hour... etc.). The error message that pops up says nothing but "This Application Has Crashed. Closing." or something.

I noticed the other day that I seemed to have more character files after it crashed so I kept an eye on it and yea, it's creating extra character files every time it crashes. And it shouldn't be, I mean... there's no new characters introduced or anything.

And then I noticed some weirdness in the file names (it may be normal, I don't know).. for example, my last two files in the character folder - N001_User00588.1.package & N001_User00588.package
Why are there 2 of them?

I don't mind re-starting the neighborhood, it's a fresh copy of Pleasantview anyway.. I just want to stop it from creating all the extra character files when the game crashes. (although stopping it from crashing would be nice too Tongue)

I'm playing with CC makeup only, BV hacks from this site, Inge's teleporter shrug, and SimWardrobes vegetable and fish packing stations and that's it.
