51  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Warning for Aussies buying Celebrations on: 2007 April 08, 23:45:37
Did you see this at the bbs   http://bbs.thesims2.ea.com/community/bbs/messages.php?threadID=578728eb397b07957f7f37fe42b34dce&directoryID=169&startRow=76&openItemID=item.169,root.1,item.43,item.61,item.41,item.127,item.23s
Haven't tried it, I just renamed my sims first names with Merola's painting and am living with the Maxian surnames.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Some want slots missing after Seasons install on: 2007 March 04, 13:30:09
I found this too. My college sim had blank slots but they filled up the next day. She also was obsessed with buying stuff.....not the usual wants for a knowledge sim. Now a semester has passed she is back on track, wanting to do her term paper etc. She still wants to buy drums, but then lots of kids want stuff they can't afford  Smiley

Oh good Cheesy One less worry  Grin
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 01, 14:18:48
I had the Greenman couple have a baby the regular woohoo way. A boy which was nice, but he was the darkest skin tone with red eyebrows. Just like Jenny and Poll Techs third child before they fixed the skin tone issues with NL. Now maybe she was the darkest tone to begin with (pre plantsimism), but it makes me wonder if the DNA is buggy again.
Baby boy is very restless. Good job I play with the sound off and can't hear him  Grin

On the changing to outerwear issue, I found that they only do so for the first couple of days in Spring, then will go outside in their usual clothes. I haven't got through an autumn yet so I don't know when the change back to wearing outer wear, but at least in summer they are not running around in their winter coats  Cheesy
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I want a silent loading screen on: 2007 February 18, 14:03:49
I can't imagine waiting two hours for the game to load, I'd assume it was broken long before that. Being a low tech person V.s solution would work for me  Smiley
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 14, 14:16:11
Since the patch my toddlers are bald  Smiley As the two I have had so far are both alien I rather like the look. I plan to keep it for them, even if they transition to hair at childhood. I haven't seen the maid glitch, the only maid in my game seems to be Alyana Dallas and she is fine.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I heart Cheating (career/aspirational rewards and such) on: 2007 February 13, 20:23:56
I use unlockcareerRewards in the cheat box in normal game play. I do like the career rewards, they make skill building fun  Smiley
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cyd Roseland on: 2007 February 04, 14:17:36
I just had Brandi ask the matchmaker for a date, and she got Cyd. As the boys came home from school at the same time she didn't have time to do much with him. Cyd found the date boring  Smiley Guess he likes pets more than kids, but we will see.
I had Mortimer be best friends with her. I thought he would leave his old mate Bobs daughter a good inheritance, but no, only a few hundred simoleans.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis/EA update re nVidia & Pets incompatibility on: 2007 February 02, 17:38:48
I hope EA posts this info in a sticky. It's hard to find in the middle of a long thread, so many people won't see it.
I have always had Nvidia cards and been fine, perhaps having 1 gig ram has saved me  Smiley
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 January 31, 14:06:11
I'm pleased to see that no pets can be Downtown alone. Strays wandering in and destroying my Crypt O'Night club was really annoying. My vampires should have attacked them, but they are more tolerant than I am.
The fridge bug is not mentioned. Neither is one of my favorites, sims having pet wants for other sims. in my Uni Delilah  thinks Roxie Sharp is a dog and wants to rub her belly  Grin
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Body Shop Previews? on: 2006 December 12, 01:18:15
I have a separate user account. I put the new hair/outfits in it's downloads then fire up it's body shop and have a look. Not very tech of me but it works  Wink Then just move the one's I want to my real game and delete the others.
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Would new video card make a difference? on: 2006 December 11, 00:52:32
From the neighborhood view my pools are white too. That is with a Fx 7600 GS 256 mb PCI Express card, which is as good as I'm going to get for a long time. The maxis pools on lots that I have not visited are still the nice bright blue they should be, but after I visit and modify they become white.
Back before we had all the ep's (and when I had a lesser card) they stayed blue, even after I would change things. I just blame the game....thinks look good on the lot and that's all that matters.  Smiley
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Registry Keys Created By TS2 on: 2006 December 09, 01:06:32
This should give you the Pets key and from here you can find the others

On the subject of Pet tubs http://www.meshkiste.de/einzelobjekte.html looks interesting. I have just downloaded it, haven't tried it yet.
65  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Grief, woe, despair and hideous black screens on: 2006 November 23, 23:35:20
I have that card (the 7600) and run problem free. Not very helpful am I  Tongue Seiously though, when I had it installed I ran a defrag and then reinstalled the game. Which it seems you have done.
I have a Pentium 4 3.2ghz with 1 gig Ram and am using the 91.31 drivers.
Possibly the only thing I am doing differently to most is that the machine I use for simming is not connected to the internet, so I have no antivirus running in the background. I do remember being unable to install Uni on the family machine until my Norton's was turned off.
So my winning formula is 1gig ram, 91.31 driver and no anti virus  Smiley If you have tried all this then I guess we have to wait for a tech expert.....I'm sure one will show up soon.
Have you seen this http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,5832.0.html it is about a different card but has a driver cleaner link and another driver link that might be of interest.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: It might sound/read sheep but... on: 2006 November 21, 00:46:28
What am I not seeing? Isn't that just the after woo hoo cuddle?
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dogs, maids, tubs and beds. on: 2006 November 20, 02:27:55
That's a good tip Gwill, i have been neglecting the OFB stuff. A dog playing in the water wiggler would be pretty cute  Smiley
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dogs, maids, tubs and beds. on: 2006 November 19, 01:14:26
Thanks Karen for that link, it's a good start  Smiley Thanks Inge for allowing non registered people to download  Grin
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dogs, maids, tubs and beds. on: 2006 November 17, 22:52:18
Actually I'm waiting for some bright creator to make a pet usable tin washtub. I don't really want to wash the dog inside, using the same tub the family uses. No one I know with dogs does that.
Having to rearrange my houses so the tub is dog accessible is a pain too.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: CEP for Pets released on: 2006 November 06, 12:49:05
So far for me, it's just Erin Singles who won't clean up her plates. As the maid does, and Kristin does, I've decided that Erin is just being a princess and am letting her get away with it  Cheesy
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I need help on: 2006 October 29, 22:46:09
Don't know about a hack, but the cheat is unlockcareerRewards I use it all the time  Grin
72  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Java? on: 2006 October 29, 07:32:14
Grin I'll let it remind me in 3 days then, give me time to mull over whether I need it updated or not  Grin
73  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Java? on: 2006 October 29, 07:11:57
It may be a silly question but......Something called Java wants to update itself. Now that's o.k? It's a legit computer thinngy? I know we have Javascript so I assume Java 5.0 Update 9 from Java (TM) is just an update of an exsisting program. With all these virus infections going around I thought I should ask before I go ahead  Smiley
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: YOU can be in your game on: 2006 October 22, 04:40:56
I'm looking forward to this  Smiley I haven't got the game yet, but when I do I will have to learn how to resize paintings. Do we know what size they have to be?
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Less than a day, already a hack is desperately needed! on: 2006 October 18, 07:00:54
I just love it when the babies throw up on the idiot who tosses them in the air Smiley Maybe the hack can include a serious scratching (or just the throw up interaction) which is what they would really get!
