Don't know what happened but I tried again and now it no longer asks for the cd and awesome is working just fine. Now to go weed out the crappy file or files..joy
And I never use the launcher to play the game so it wasn't that but I won't complain since I can play just not with any custom stuff til I get that sorted. Luckily I really don't have alot anyways
thank you.

Well I broke down and patched, got the new awesome mod but now im getting that error about out dated mod ect. Which i never got before and i dont have any besides awesome mod and delphys breast mod. I removed the breast one thinking it was the problem but it wasnt. Would that message include things like clothing, patterns or hair? Or default replacement make up ect? Just to help me narrow it down a tad.

ETA  I tried playing with just awesome mod and the config. (downloaded updated version), but now im not getting the other warning as before but now its asking for the cd which i have config to not need. Luckily I do actualy know where my cd is, but any ideas to why it would be doing that?

I am also getting the message for awesome mod being expire, its says it has expires on 7/13.  I downloaded again and overwrote the old one, but I am still getting that message and it forces me to close the game. I even tried downloading it picking a different mirror just incase the first one was a dud, then checked to make sure they didnt have a new patch I diid not know about and they did. Perhaps that was the problem? I have not installed it yet since I have yet to find anything good said about it yet.

So just to confirm, only the 1.7 patch is needed not WA? Ive got the patch just not the expansion.

ah but thats the whole point i have NOT completed it not even close on every occasion that i have tried to change it is not one thats been completed, trying to change that was complete as you said would be silly. but on several sims that ive married into my main group of sims have lifetime wishes that dont suit them and each time i tried to change them the pop up comes up and it acts like it lets me choose a new one but wheni click on the one i want then click ok nothing is changed

Eta:  i just removed awesome mod and choose one of my sims that had enough points and without it i was able to change their lifetime wish, i tried it again with awesome mod and now it works for all but one sims i tried and dont know whats up, im not 100% sure but i think i may have edited her with a cas cheat so that would explain her but i tested with other sims that i tried and failed before and now they work, well some are better than none atleast.

alright ill try taking out awesome mod to see if i can change a lifetime wish
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 October 21, 00:20:06
I thought I found somewhere a post that said awsomemod would not allow your sim to purchase the lifetime wish change reward, but i can not find that anywhere. The reason i wish to know if that is true (and my searched come up with out anything useful) is that Id like to know if my game is bugged or if this is a feature of the mod. Ive tried a few time to purchase that reward and it will give the pop up to choose the new lifetime wish, I can choose one but it will not change it.  This has been occuring for some time, with each new version of the mod and before I added the stand alone indie story mod. Would some one please point me to the thread if it exists to where it says if this is a feature or correct me if it is a bug.

Would it be at all possible to expand the no fast aging of inactive babies to include no fast aging of any inactives?

I always update my awesome mod before I play, so I know I have the newest version.  I have inactive toddlers jumping right to teens (apparently?), and inactive children aging to teens and then aging again to adults all while my playable teen is still a teen.  I don't understand why the game is so broken to begin with, but a fix that forces the entire neighbourhood to actually age in sync would be *greatly* appreciated.

I second this. Here I was thinking my generation kids would be growing up alongside their peers. But nnnooooo. EA says why the heck would anyone want to do that!?

I wouild'nt mind this as much if the portraits updated on their own so I would'nt have to waste my time with that particular sim.  i do think its odd though atleast in my game its primarily children that make a giant leap in age from child all the way to young adult and at times all the way to adult, in the amount of time it takes for my child sime to up their relationship score enough to invite them over. If they would atleast pause at young adult then by the time my sim aged up all their friends would'nt be old hags. Sadly i have no saves to help with this, my only game is brand new and not very far in.

Ah, thank you as i said i suck. I dont know how I managed no to have tried that key the last time i got it, which i just got again which is odd since before today i have only gotten in one other time and that was when i did somthing dumb (forcing move in on homeless) and this is a brand new game, only about 6-10sim days old.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Flagrant System Error on: 2009 September 29, 22:24:52
Ive just got one as well nothing abnormal that im aware of going on in the game. However it too is far too long to clear out, how do you clear it with out having to shut down the game? I would post a pic but i suck and all i get is the window but with out any words.

ok i get to reformate and re install windows tongiht (yay me) which may or may not have been cause by securrom, so please bare with me id really like to play the game and not have to worry about having to start all over again...so im slightly confussed, i understand that i can keep from getting securrom added if i dont use the original exe,  but one posted confussed me  some one mentioned that the secur rom doesnt come with the installation but insted gets put on your computer once you play it for the first time (im quite sure i could have just miss understood them.sorry if i did)    so  then if that is correct does that mean i wont have to worry about going back and removing any thing since i will eventually be having a fresh install with out having ever use dthe original exe? or is secur rom going to be placed on my computer whether i play the game or not.  again im sorry if i sound dumb, im not very computer savy, and my typing skills suck especially when forced to use our laptop will i get to slowly copy my files from my now borked desktop, (i actually hope it was messed up by secur rom just so i have something to be pissed at lol...i couldnt even get passed my gatway logo page at least it let me get to bios so i could use a boot cd...not like you all care =p)

20  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Creating default skin replacement - simplified method. on: 2007 March 13, 21:14:35
like i said i was having a brain fart..it seem si didnt have enough coffee yet...i reread the tutorial and i skipped by a large part of it the first time i read the darn thing...first couple times actually it seems
remind me no to attempt anything with the sims before at least 3 cups of coffee  things are much clearer now....i think in my mind i muddled it up thinking the skintone in step one had to be   the actual maxis skins i planned to replace not the ones i wish to alter to eventually replace the plantsims one..lol thanks for the help your response woke me up to realize my error =]
21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Creating default skin replacement - simplified method. on: 2007 March 13, 20:16:17
well im new at making defaults and i think i basically understand everything but im not quite sure how to do this for a plant sim  since your first step is
Step one : Extracting the textures from your skin.
Launch Bodyshop, Create Parts, Start New Project, Create Genetics, Skin Tone.  Select the skin tone you want to turn into a default replacement.   Click on export selected textures.  Wait till the export process is done.  You can now cancel the project as it's no longer required.  Close Body Shop.

and im sure im just having a brain fart but how do i get the plant sim skin tone so i can make a new default...also come to think of it i see everyone else talking about zombie skins and vamps..how do i get them as well..im sure there is just a body shop code or cas  code that lets you choos ethem but for the life of me i cant think of one
any help would be much appreciated =]

ps...if this was all covered somewhere else please place a link ive done a search but may have still missed it
