101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Opportuni-teez on: 2009 June 13, 12:25:05
My vote is for more as well.  Though I have yet to play a big household, because I just don't have the patience for that kind of micromanaging.
102  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Removing multiple items from inventory on: 2009 June 13, 12:22:19
If your Sim rummage in neighbors' bins, you can get some good stuff, but you'll also get upteen piles of trash (plus a bad moodlet until they are removed) and recycle-only newspaper trash. I wasn't able to sell them in bulk (or at all), or drag them en masse to the home bin. I have to remove the newspaper stack and trash stack one by one, which is a pain in the butt.

Also, rewards can be huge, or annoyingly small. My first trip rummaging, I found THREE pink diamonds. Second trip, two Sim Life goggles and a Gigantic (Zucabr) Space Rock. Usually I get a jillion teddy bears, candles, bubble baths and fair-to-poor quality produce and seeds (most of which are very common, not uncommon or rare, and I've never found a special harvestable in a bin).

With newspapers, I've been able to click the drag all triangle to sell them with no problem.  Trash piles are a bit different, but not as bad as what you've described.  At home, I can click that triangle and drag it to her trash can, but it only drops one at a time.  However it stays lit up and I just keep clicking until the trash disappears.

I've found two Zucabr rocks, and that's the only way I've been able to find them.  Other than that, I found a pink diamond and it seems that everyone on the "rich" block throws out their SimLife goggles because she's found four pairs now.  Seeds and bits of produce (ranging from putrid to perfect) are occasional bits, but the teddybears, candles, bubble baths and rubber duckys are fairly common.

Does anyone else actually ever let their Sim keep any of this stuff?  I have kept the special stuff like the rocks and gems, but everything else gets sold.  I can't wrap my head around keeping bubble bath that's been in a trash, even if I know logically it didn't actually come from there.
103  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Object upgrades - the real list on: 2009 June 13, 00:37:52
There is apparently some risk when applying spcific upgrades too. I had a sim with a very low handiness skill try to apply the self-cleaning upgrade to the toilet at the end of the progress bar, instread of getting the upgrade the toilet instantly went to a dirty state and the progress was reset to 0%

Sims upgrading electrical objects and stoves run the risk of getting singed.

or dying.  Rest in peace, Test Sim #3.
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Are there ways to die accidently in criminal career track? on: 2009 June 13, 00:13:14
My Sim had 6 death flowers in her inventory.  I've been playing her up through the criminal track and she made it to Emperor of Evil, then I had her quit her job and rejoin the track so I could move her up through the Thief branch.  I looked in her inventory later and she only had 4 death flowers left, but I have no idea when and where these flowers were used.  Is there a possibility of cheating death or do the flowers also serve another purpose?
105  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hidden Items on: 2009 June 12, 07:39:49
There's a fancy-pants fridge that comes from reaching the top of the culinary career.  It gives a boost in room decor for as long as you have it there.
106  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Novels - A Guide on: 2009 June 10, 21:49:11
My Sim at Level 10 writing, with Dislikes Children, Workaholic, Ambitious, Neat, Green Thumb and Charismatic traits:

Masterpiece: §20828 for best-seller, §15420 for hit, §9784 for regular sales.

She's a Vaudeville writer, so I'll start to keep track now but so far I haven't.
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Removing multiple items from inventory on: 2009 June 09, 06:04:25
Click on the darker blue triangle in the upper left of the thumbnail and drag it over to the sell icon.  It'll sell the entire pile.  As for space rocks, you could analyze them first because you can make more cash if they're discovered to be worth more than originally appraised.  There's nothing really all that useful about the collection missions other than to complete the different challenges; if you don't want to, then don't.
108  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Career Profitability and Perks on: 2009 June 09, 04:20:44
Perfect quality deathfish look to sell for about $900-$1k. Fishing for deathfish looks like it could be pretty lucrative. Too bad they're only available from midnight to 2 am.

Midnight to 5am.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Something Borked? No "Change Appearance" Option on Mirrors on: 2009 June 08, 16:32:59
Are the color options of the sweats randomly generated or are they based on skintones as some of the outfits were in the earlier Sims?

I've had fairly non-ugly dresses for pregnancy wear; I think it's all random.
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Novels - A Guide on: 2009 June 08, 16:13:35
I've got a writing/novel guide here.
Masterpiece is unlocked by being a level 10 writer.

Your information is incorrect.

Masterpiece shows up after writing 25 novels.  Usually the author is Level 10 by then, but it won't show up before 25 other novels are written.  As well, vaudeville only needs 2 of each of the types listed, not three.
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Randomly @Toaded on: 2009 June 08, 00:04:17
You can't store it in the replicator either.  That's by design.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Good, the Bad, and the Randomly @Toaded on: 2009 June 07, 23:52:25
For ambrosia, you can't serve it, you can only have it (one plate only). I've seen it under breakfast, but never looked for it under lunch or dinner.  With Awesomemod, it should be there all the time.
113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Anyone with answer? on: 2009 June 07, 19:03:37
Uninstall the Download manager.  It has SecuRom.  You don't need it anyhow.

As for your points, register your game?  You can do that directly on the site so you don't need to have your gaming computer hooked up to the net for that.
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 June 06, 22:44:21
It's not super green thumb reward. It's the TRAIT when you first make your Sim (or add it later with Pescado's mod).
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is SecuRom on the Sims3 hard copy? on: 2009 June 06, 06:01:02
Sims 3 no-CD crack.  Thanks be to Anne for it.
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 June 05, 20:46:06
They are always just seeds that are listed in the first post here, in the category (uncommon, rare or special).  They'll never be cheese, egg, steag, burger patty or omni however.  With the exception of the money tree (which you can tell because of the icon that shows up as soon as the mystery seed is in the growing state), you can't really tell what any of them are until they're mature.
117  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My review of TS3. What I liked, don't like. on: 2009 June 05, 20:37:16
The skintones might soon be fixed. HP over at MTS is *hinting* and *winking* a lot so she probably has something brewing.

Yep.

Insanity Prelude, you fucked up the link.
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 June 05, 05:25:47
Death flowers are only supposed to get one harvest, unless your Sim has the green thumb trait (whatever it's actually called), and then they can revive it once more.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 June 05, 04:44:42
can someone please help me?
i dont have the Shaders_Win32.7z file

....7z is the extension of this zipped package!  You do have the Shaders_Win32.precomp file.  Just unzip this with 7zip or Winrar, and overwrite it.
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 June 05, 00:15:07
You don't get lime seeds for gardening level 1, only apple, grape and lettuce.

And tomatoes.

But the
Rank 1
Cheese, Burger Patty, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Potato, Apple, Lime, Grapes
Anchovy, Goldfish, Alley Catfish

The prima guide seems to have a ton of errors, if it's claiming all those can be planted with only a level 1 gardening skill.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Hack: Download anything from Sims Store for FREE on: 2009 June 04, 23:10:28
Yeah, it didn't work for the Tiki fullset either.  I chose something random since I have it all anyhow, I just wanted to see.

123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 June 04, 02:59:50
Nope, that's what I tried. Does it work for everyone else? It could just be an intermittent glitch like it was in TS2.

Nah, it doesn't work for me either.  I went in and tried, hadn't done so before.  Sucky.
124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 June 04, 02:33:47
Oh yeah, another slight annoyance: you can't copy/paste from The Sims 3 to another program and vice versa. I was going to save some hex color values in a text document to match the top and bottom of a bikini, but no luck. That might have been a temporary glitch, though, because I remember that happened on and off in The Sims 2.

Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V doesn't work?
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store - this thread is for DOWNLOADS ONLY. Your inane comments go elsewhere! on: 2009 June 03, 19:52:45
the ones from BlueSoup are corrupted (bad download from TS3 Store)

I'll re-up them.  Make sure you try the s3rc if they don't work, also, since I do not run them through that first myself before I upload.

Edit: table sponge, floor sponge.
