I patched the day the patch was released, and my game has been working fine until updating to the 19th November AM, from whatever test one came before that (I haven't actually played the game in a few days, just updated the mod in the meantime). I did manage to get it load after leaving it a few hours, so it's literally just a vastly increased loading time.

The latest AM seems to be causing a vast increase in loading time for my save, to the point where I simply can't load it. I've tried several times, and after seeing the loading bar still at 1/3 after an hour I just give up. Took out AM and it loaded in about 5-10 minutes. Put it back in, and it's taking forever again.

It's nice to have weather at last, although the ep is lacking in assets.

Anyway I've had a whole bunch of problems. Seasons seems determined to kill off the population of my hood. Sims starving to death from the eating contests. Spontaneous combustions all over the place, in some cases getting stuck in a loop that prevents sims or rain from putting it out.

My weather stone has turned invisible, and AM's Nuke option has disappeared, so I'm not sure what to do to get it back. I can't even redeem festival tickets. As far as the merchant is concerned, the ones my sims have in their inventories don't count at all.

Patch 1.42 includes a new debug object hidden in the game files. It allows you to convert playable sims into townies (homeless sims) or service NPCs. This is a simple override to enable the object.

Debug interactions must be enabled in order to utilise the object's functions. No interactions are available otherwise. Use with caution, as sims converted will be immediately removed from the household.

The object is found under Debug > Misc

I don't know if this is of any use, but I seem to recall one of the torrents for that EP having a strange method of installation. Initially, it can appear installed when in fact many of the required files for the game to run aren't actually present (until taking some further steps).

Well it kinda is optional. The button on the right of the Buy Mode panel toggles Store Mode on or off. When it's off, you won't see any store shit. It's exactly the same as before except for the button itself. You can't disable the button's presence, but hiding it with a mod should be trivial to do.

Sauna not working for me either. Luckily the Massage Table and Shower work fine, apart from the usual missing accessories/props.

For some reason, the gold version doesn't have the retreat lot in the world by default. You have to place it yourself (at least it's 30x30). I used the evil launcher and placed the lot, and amazingly none of the objects disappeared on me (I usually can't even get the package lots to show up correctly). Looks like the massage table drafts a random sim to act as a masseuse.

I notice there are several oversights with the DJ booth. Was wondering if some changes could be incorporated into Awesomemod.

- There is a DJ Service NPC for hire in the game but DJs don't actually appear on community lots, where they would actually be of some use. It's kinda stupid how most of the Showtime venues are silent unless you actually send your sim to do the damn job themselves.
- When a sim starts using a DJ booth, it doesn't automatically disable other music sources in the room like the instruments do. You have to manually disable/enable stereos, which is annoying, or otherwise allow your ears to bleed.
- The LN dance floors require music to be playing in order for sims to dance. Apparently an active DJ booth doesn't count. I'm guessing this is probably something to do with the music from the DJ booth actually being made up of sound effects. But whatever it is, it's still stupid.
-Making a Groove, or whatever, seems to prompt every sim on the lot and in the household to react to this interaction. I had a sim run out of work in the middle of their shift just so they could go home to boo the DJ.

Does anybody know if someone has made a single ear version of the male hoop earrings that come with Showtime? I could have sworn I saw this somewhere once, but I just can't seem to find anything of the sort now.

Which category are you selecting it from? There appears to be two versions of the speaker. The Community Lot Objects version has the alternate designs available, while the Buydebug version does not, for whatever stupid reason.

They've replaced the "Steel Scalloped Roof" texture with something completely different.

Has anyone else had problems with the Ultimate Stage lot.  Although the thumbnail looks correct, when I place it in game my building is just a black box.  The lot had (of course) to be decrapified to be installed.
The objects won't appear on the lot itself if you decrapified. The venue shell doesn't show up in the catalog either, so simply replacing the missing objects isn't really an option either. Just use the packages: Download

Place "Ep6VenueStageSet.package" in the mods folder. "UltimateVenue.package" goes in your Library folder.

This is a simple override for the hidden marker object that tells Proprietor NPCs where to stand on a Venue lot. It can be used to create certain effects, such as having them stand behind counters, or just to keep them in some out-of-the-way location. By default, the object is not in the Buy Mode catalog, meaning it cannot be used for custom venues.

Place the package in your Mods folder, and you can find it under Debug>Misc. The object is called "proprietorPlacement_ftp"

I played for hours last night with the latest test version of AM -- no more crashes.  However, since the patch and new AM, something really bizarre is happening:  My Sim comes home from somewhere, and her bicycle just disappears into thin air.  It's not even in her inventory.  So I buy her a new bike, she rides it somewhere; and when she comes home, that bike disappears, too.  This happened three times, before I gave up.  Is she eating them, or possibly putting them so far up her ass, she can't get them out?
I've had this problem too. My sims would come home, and the bike was just nowhere to be found. But then I noticed that the bikes are actually going back on their designated bike rack, but turning invisible for some reason. This renders the bike rack entirely useless, as the bike is unselectable, and the rack is still "In use". The only way to get them back is to replace the whole damn thing.

I find with the game settings, they're more prone to resetting themselves than most other games. Updating graphics drivers can cause this to happen, and even patching can reset at least some of them (1.31 reset the aging lengths in my game). Just keep a backup of the config in future.

Would it be possible to include some sort of "hidefences" command, similar to "hideobjects"?

Perhaps I should clarify. I'm trying to fix the foundation wall lighting glitch by removing the outer strip of foundation from the house, building walls in the basement and then replacing the foundation. I used hideobjects to assist with this, as it's a pain to move every object out of the way.

Everything is fine until I go to replace the foundation, at which point the game throws up that bizzare and ridiculous "cannot intersect fence" message (the game has no qualms if you intersect a fence with foundation afterwards though). Removing and replacing fences is a hassle enough, but the offending fences here are inexplicably unselectable with the eyedropper and CAST tools and I cannot seem to find the correct texture to match the rest. The whole thing is just such a farce to replace a simple strip of foundation. Bah.
