Title: *Sigh* More issues...
Post by: Waller on 2009 September 05, 22:17:13
Hey,

Having recently reinstalled the whole Sims 2 series up to Apartment Life, I'm back to having troubles again. I'm playing off the no-cd crack and have removed all SecuROM off my system. However, playing on a Nvidia Go7400 which has not provided me problems in the past, I am getting the BSOD within minutes of starting the game. I'm playing in windows mode to allow easy escape from the crashes and would love some advice or help to solve my problems!

Help?

x

A BSOD like that is usually a hardware failure. Check to make sure your fans aren't blocked or jammed with crud, and that the computer is not overheating. It sounds like you are using a lappy, judging from the Go-edition Video card, and lappies tend to have heat dissipation issues. Overheating is likely the cause if it crashes within a few minutes of playing at random. If it continues to be a problem even after the fan intakes are cleared, try immersing the computer in liquid nitrogen or pouring liquid nitrogen into the intakes while you play.
