76  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 January 22, 18:03:51
Self-installing generally means that it works just like the sims2packs - you open the file, and it extracts itself to the folder without you having to place the files manually, so everything goes just where it is supposed to.

So Deleted 2 this Eric and let someone new respawn in his place.
78  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: University Final Clock on: 2009 January 12, 16:17:15
There is no such thing as a "UniversityFinalClock.zip", look carefully at the link in the original post. Furthermore, this DOES work with AL.

@Pescado - I think we have a case of "Babby adopted by wolves" or at the very least, early genetic werewolf-ism.  Cheesy

I think, though I am not sure, that he was remarking on the vaguely Romulus-and-Remus appearance of it. In which case the answer to his question would be "His brother killed him.". Of course, I may be grossly misinterpreting.

Please to not double-post. There is a "modify" button; use it.

DJSsims seems to still exist, as I am there right now in another tab. I do believe Khan has spent too much time drinking with his Followers.
82  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Is it bit torrent? on: 2009 January 04, 02:08:55
Could it have been thwarted by the extra fancy trusted platform module my compuiter guy put in?
This sounds like spyware to me.

If you have been using noncracked EPs, then you have Securom. Look harder.

Also, you are an it until I decide to call you she. Or, if I feel like it, a Clitaxis.
83  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Is it bit torrent? on: 2009 January 04, 01:20:06
It claims to have done that already and found nothing. I suspect it merely failed, since it also claims to have bought and used the EAxian disc as-is. It also claims to have had some spyware installed by some "compuiter guy", whatever a compuiter is. I, naturally, suggest reformatting.
84  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Business Controller: Business Runs YOU! on: 2009 January 03, 18:17:15
The BRY controller is designed for efficiency, and scheduling tasks rather than performing them as the controller performs them now would be inefficient and potentially destructive. Example: farming. What if a set of plants is being watered, and the watering action is cut off by the end of the schedule, so not all of the plants are watered?

As to the "sales feature", if you mean "Business.../Be Salesman", that exists.

I bet I know what caused the keyboard thing: The computer thought you ctrl key was pushed. Try hitting ctrl-esc and ctrl-o and the start menu and "open file" dialogue should come up.
86  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Anti Aliasing issues? on: 2008 December 30, 17:14:40
I think stupidParrot's problem may lie elsewhere, actually. My terribly obsolete computer can hold a max of 1gig of RAM, which is what I have; I have no antialiasing problems - everything looks "smooth", as the Parrot calls it. My processor also operates on a single core, Pentium 4, 1.79GHz. nVidia GeForce FX 5500 for graphics card. As I am not having this problem, I must conclude that Pescado is right on the ball, here. Of course, with that line of attack, the Parrot may have to compensate for other effects, such as a blurring or spinning appearance.
87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What is Abobe Flash Player? on: 2008 December 29, 18:10:45
you could check here http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

hope that helps
Congratulations! You Have Missed the Point Entirely!

Anyway, Fibrefox is outdated and virusprone. You should use the latest version of Macrosoft's Itlernet Exploder. Also, when you get to the Abobe page, you should download the Stockwabe player, too. And make sure you have the newest version of Sud Microsystem's Jaja.
88  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: L&P Spore (expansion) announced on: 2008 November 23, 19:35:55
No, all of the part slots are filled once you have played enough to have all of them unlocked.
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: M&G setQuarterTilePlacement on/off new decorating "cheat" on: 2008 November 22, 20:13:26
I'm going to err on the side of "Pathetic Fucking Moron" and guess that you typed "setQuarterTilePlacement [on | off]" when anyone intelligent enough to live would have recognised that "|" means "or" and "[]" mean "select one of the options in the brackets", leading said intelligent person to type "setQuarterTilePlacement on" to turn it on and "setQuarterTilePlacement off" to turn it off. Am I right?
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EAXIS DUMBEST MISTAKE YET!!!! on: 2008 November 22, 03:38:55
Excessive Details
You have likely overestimated your problem.
on my fateful try to install MGS, I had the same problem. It seems that somehow, a few files from AL can encounter modification, which has the patch fail. restoring from the AL disc helps.
I reinstalled it to the EAGames directory after I realized that it wasn't in the right folder.  This time it ran the patch and installed M&G with no problems at all.
Reinstalling the game is the automated equivalent of restoring the files from the disk, fixing the issue that FatD brought up.
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 18, 14:38:34
You fool, never trust trailers! They are explicitly designed to hype you up, and you will inevitably be disappointed! Have you ever seen any child in TS2 swing from a ceiling fan? I THINK NOT!
92  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lord Darcy's Pet Interactions Enabler for Forgotten Objects on: 2008 November 18, 14:12:13
A) Lord Darcy has her own section, idiot.
B) Why the fuck are you using That Horrid Thing? It kills kittens!

Using Inteenimator==BAD
Not Using It == GOOD
GOOD != BAD

Any questions?
93  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Hack Directory - All Hacks on: 2008 November 18, 12:54:32
Why does this matter at all when it is trivial to Upgrade Sim.../Pre-FT or just Info.../LTA Milestones and set them specifically? In fact, I prefer this system.

95  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Invincible apartment neighbours. on: 2008 November 01, 16:25:19
invincible
You keep using that word; I do not think it means what you think it means.
Invincible==indestructable.
Invisible==unable to be seen.

As to your problem, I cannot help you, as I have not played with apartments yet.
96  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Where are the saved games stored? on: 2008 October 24, 14:07:28
Actually, apparently, if you played through any stages with a creature, it's "saved" in the .png, so you keep them.
(Of course, I haven't done this, the information is secondhand.)
97  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Where are the saved games stored? on: 2008 October 22, 20:10:28
Savegames are stored in a "Spore" directory in %APPDATA%, unless I am mistaken.
98  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 October 17, 17:13:20
One need be neither smart nor devious to acquire one's games, one merely needs to dock one's galleon at the Pirate Bay. One will need, however, a program of the BitTorrent-client variety. Consider uTorrent (Properly speaking, it should perhaps be mTorrent, considering it uses the letter "Mu", but that is beside the point.)
99  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Invisible Attackers? on: 2008 October 15, 20:16:38
It may have been a stealth attack, but it is also possible that the creatures had not been "loaded" by the game yet - I have noticed that it, at least on my outdated rig, often takes a few moments for things around you to completely appear. This especially sucks in Space, when, say, you might only have a little bit of time left to eliminate five diseased creatures and you can't actually see them, or your planet is being invaded and you can't see the ships yet, but they can shoot at you just fine. So far, in both my Creature games, that sort of effect has occurred with every single creature I met, the first time I met them - they were all invisible at first, then became completely black, then filled in with texture.
