I don't have it currently, I uninstalled it when I realised I didn't want my game to explode into a large fiery ball visible from outer space should I start mucking with it.
So, I would be downloading it again, and whichever version they offer (or someone tells me is better) would be the one I would download.

Same here, no gifts from couples that live in the same house. That little girl, Meadow, though, has brought over quite a few presents. I grew her to adult, hoping that gift train will keep coming!

I've had NL since it came out and I've only had 1 dream date. No, no, I'm not a horrible player. It's quite easy in my opinion. I just haven't taken any Sims on dates. But anyway, the gift I recieved was a vase of roses with a love note, and a Dance Sphere.
I take my Sims on dates for a couple of reasons, mainly. Romance Sims are obvious. And the other reason is for when they have wants I can't fulfill for one reason or another, I will set them up on a date, and all of their wants will change to be more in-line with the date, thereby allowing me to get them into platinum mood, and then I can end the date with my Sims in much better moods. I used that to avoid aspiration failure for my Romance Sims, right before they were about to have a baby.

I've gotten a couple of hot tubs, and a karaoke machine, and a couple of more minor presents. The funny thing is, the last time my Sim got the hot tub, was after her date had caught her cheating on him. He dropped off the roses, caught her, dropped of the hot tub, and then a couple of Sim hours later, started stealing her newspaper and kicking over her trash can!

This weekend, my Romance Sim made a few new "friends" and when she was on a date downtown, one of her old dates caught her cheating on him (like her husband wasn't the first clue he wasn't the only one ) and now he sneaks by her house at least 5 times a day, stealing her newspaper and kicking over her trash can. I don't care about the newspaper, but the trash can thing is infuriating. I guess I'll be building a fence around it.

I had the same problem with the car (a Maxis one) on the first day I got NL. Nothing seemed able to fix it (and at the time, I had removed all hacks.) What I ended up doing was sending my Sim home in a taxi and the car was there when she got home.

My Sims get furious at the burglars who rob them. The relationship repairs itself over time though, and eventually they go into positive relationships, where they would be best friends with little effort at all, and this is when they had never previously met that burglar.

I just got a PM. Apparently she will not delete my account because that will simply give "me and my friends" the avenue to create new accounts and continue to cause trouble on her site. Excuse me? I have never caused trouble on her site, first of all. I've always been polite, etc. Secondly, as if I couldn't create a bogus account anyway. Thirdly, I haven't even posted there since July. Also, she doesn't want me "twisting the truth" and saying she banned me. Uh-huh. She is willing, however, to let me see what "read-only" status is like.
She can blow it out her server if she thinks I'll ever go there again. Read-only! Hah.
That is such complete and utter shite! rentech needs to get out and get a real god-damned life. I say we all send pictures of our bare servers and tell her to enjoy the ghost town formerly known as her site. She's the instrument of her own destruction. ROFLMAO!

I would like to know that too, after all, if even Pescado isn't banned officially (but what the hell is the difference between read-only and guest, is what I'd like to know)

Aww, Bangelnuts, that's so sad. People can be so wretched to animals (watch, you'll see their names listed as Most Wanted Serial Killer later in life). My mother's cat currently has kidney problems, which they discovered when they had to do an operation for a broken leg, and I had a cat previously that was only about 3 years old when he developed kidney problems. It got bad very quickly as he started to be unable to walk. I took him to the vet and held him when they euthanized him, and he never broke eye contact with me. But, it was the most humane thing for him. You're doing the right thing, Missdoh.

Motoki, it's not so crazy. I know, I have done that too. When I reinstalled the game right before I installed NL, I started all over with new downloads, and spent forever organising it into sub-sections. It was a lot easier than trying to figure out what everything was and moving it over. Now I have a system that works pretty well. Plus, it's easy to take out a certain component (like hacks, for instance) if I want to upload a lot.
I only have less than a gig of CC, and it took forever, I can't imagine rebuilding 5!
