2326  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim wants to fall in love with her husband's alien son on: 2005 November 08, 20:43:17
I don't have it currently, I uninstalled it when I realised I didn't want my game to explode into a large fiery ball visible from outer space should I start mucking with it.

So, I would be downloading it again, and whichever version they offer (or someone tells me is better) would be the one I would download.
2327  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim wants to fall in love with her husband's alien son on: 2005 November 08, 20:34:17
Yeah, Brynne, when I said dumbed-down, I mean I have no idea how to use SimPE.  So, a tutorial or step-by-step instructions that I can read that tells me how to do that specifically would be awesome.
2328  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sim wants to fall in love with her husband's alien son on: 2005 November 08, 20:25:27
How (in completely dumbed-down terms  Wink) do I make it so that she recognizes him as family, and doesn't want to fall in love with him?

This rolled as a want as soon as he moved out to his own house.
2329  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 08, 18:40:07
Same here, no gifts from couples that live in the same house.

That little girl, Meadow, though, has brought over quite a few presents.  I grew her to adult, hoping that gift train will keep coming!  Grin
2330  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Please, come visit my TS2 Hall of Fame (Interview with Pescado already there) on: 2005 November 08, 16:24:34
I would love to see pics of Motoki.

Brynne, you were adorable.  Smiley  I recently got a picture of myself when I was about 3, and I couldn't believe I had never seen that picture before.
2331  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 08, 15:29:47
I've had NL since it came out and I've only had 1 dream date. No, no, I'm not a horrible player. It's quite easy in my opinion. I just haven't taken any Sims on dates. But anyway, the gift I recieved was a vase of roses with a love note, and a Dance Sphere.

I take my Sims on dates for a couple of reasons, mainly.  Romance Sims are obvious.  And the other reason is for when they have wants I can't fulfill for one reason or another, I will set them up on a date, and all of their wants will change to be more in-line with the date, thereby allowing me to get them into platinum mood, and then I can end the date with my Sims in much better moods.  I used that to avoid aspiration failure for my Romance Sims, right before they were about to have a baby.  Grin
2332  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 07, 23:36:31
I've gotten a couple of hot tubs, and a karaoke machine, and a couple of more minor presents.  The funny thing is, the last time my Sim got the hot tub, was after her date had caught her cheating on him.  He dropped off the roses, caught her, dropped of the hot tub, and then a couple of Sim hours later, started stealing her newspaper and kicking over her trash can!   Cheesy
2333  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Furious State-Any Mods/hacks to get around this? on: 2005 November 07, 20:27:08
Holy crap, Brynne!  I was just thinking I can't wait until my two elders die, so I can go back to 4, which is really the comfortable Sim limit for me.

I can't imagine having that many!
2334  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Furious State-Any Mods/hacks to get around this? on: 2005 November 07, 18:58:37
If she does, that would be awesome.  Right now I am without Internet, and I can't copy stuff from this computer, so I'll have to wait a couple of weeks.  Sad

2335  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Furious State-Any Mods/hacks to get around this? on: 2005 November 07, 18:49:00
This weekend, my Romance Sim made a few new "friends" and when she was on a date downtown, one of her old dates caught her cheating on him (like her husband wasn't the first clue he wasn't the only one  Roll Eyes) and now he sneaks by her house at least 5 times a day, stealing her newspaper and kicking over her trash can.  I don't care about the newspaper, but the trash can thing is infuriating.  I guess I'll be building a fence around it.
2336  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A wee bit of a nightlife problem... -Sigh- on: 2005 November 07, 15:00:04
I had the same problem with the car (a Maxis one) on the first day I got NL.  Nothing seemed able to fix it (and at the time, I had removed all hacks.)

What I ended up doing was sending my Sim home in a taxi and the car was there when she got home.  Huh
2337  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Furious State-Any Mods/hacks to get around this? on: 2005 November 03, 17:55:35
My Sims get furious at the burglars who rob them.  The relationship repairs itself over time though, and eventually they go into positive relationships, where they would be best friends with little effort at all, and this is when they had never previously met that burglar.
2338  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 03, 05:50:38
I downloaded hacks from TJ without ever being a member, so you don't need to be a member to download anything, only to post in the forums.
2339  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 03, 05:37:48
I just got a PM. Apparently she will not delete my account because that will simply give "me and my friends" the avenue to create new accounts and continue to cause trouble on her site. Excuse me? I have never caused trouble on her site, first of all. I've always been polite, etc. Secondly, as if I couldn't create a bogus account anyway. Thirdly, I haven't even posted there since July. Also, she doesn't want me "twisting the truth" and saying she banned me. Uh-huh. She is willing, however, to let me see what "read-only" status is like.

She can blow it out her server if she thinks I'll ever go there again. Read-only! Hah.

That is such complete and utter shite!  rentech needs to get out and get a real god-damned life.

I say we all send pictures of our bare servers and tell her to enjoy the ghost town formerly known as her site. She's the instrument of her own destruction.

ROFLMAO!  Grin

I would like to know that too, after all, if even Pescado isn't banned officially (but what the hell is the difference between read-only and guest, is what I'd like to know)  Roll Eyes
2342  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 03, 05:01:39
I'm half-way tempted now to go over there and create an account just so I can PM Rennie and ask her to delete it.   Grin

I know, me too.  Cheesy
2343  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 03, 01:16:54
Wow, Motoki.  Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.  Cheesy
2344  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Today is a really sad day on: 2005 November 02, 20:21:17
Aww, Bangelnuts, that's so sad.  Cry

People can be so wretched to animals (watch, you'll see their names listed as Most Wanted Serial Killer later in life).

My mother's cat currently has kidney problems, which they discovered when they had to do an operation for a broken leg, and I had a cat previously that was only about 3 years old when he developed kidney problems.  It got bad very quickly as he started to be unable to walk.  I took him to the vet and held him when they euthanized him, and he never broke eye contact with me.  But, it was the most humane thing for him.

You're doing the right thing, Missdoh.
2345  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Today is a really sad day on: 2005 November 02, 17:24:00
That's really too bad about your cat.  I've had to put cats down before and it was an incredibly difficult thing to do.  Sad  I feel your pain.
2346  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 02, 16:18:01
Was it or wasn't it a request of El Presidente that they don't link to this site?

I'm confused on this point.   Undecided

He's cute.  I really love the eyes.  Smiley
2348  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 02, 06:34:52
Well, I guess they are not about to advertise a site More Awesome Than Them.  Cheesy
2349  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How much is too much on: 2005 November 02, 05:00:02
Motoki, it's not so crazy.  I know, I have done that too.  When I reinstalled the game right before I installed NL, I started all over with new downloads, and spent forever organising it into sub-sections.  It was a lot easier than trying to figure out what everything was and moving it over.  Now I have a system that works pretty well.  Plus, it's easy to take out a certain component (like hacks, for instance) if I want to upload a lot.

I only have less than a gig of CC, and it took forever, I can't imagine rebuilding 5!
2350  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How much is too much on: 2005 November 02, 04:52:47
So, the point of deleting it all, then re-downloading everything was just to get it organised?  If that's what makes you happy, I guess more power to you.
