2301  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Little hacks/mods personal story (mea-culpa again) on: 2005 November 14, 18:45:34
I never play with any of the pre-mades anyway, so I just deleted them all.  I didn't experience any problems, but this was pre-Nightlife.  I've since reinstalled, and I didn't bother deleting them again.
2302  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Little hacks/mods personal story (mea-culpa again) on: 2005 November 14, 16:43:43
I've deleted all of the pre-made neighbourhoods with no problems.
2303  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clothing equality mod - adult clothes for elders (updated 11-1-05) on: 2005 November 14, 15:47:40
Yeah, I read that!  The very thought makes me laugh.  Although I think there is a lot that is exaggerated with his story, I do believe he is a loner who lives alone.  Whether that's a bunker, well....
2304  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clothing equality mod - adult clothes for elders (updated 11-1-05) on: 2005 November 14, 15:16:41
I'm not quite that awesome. Then I would have to move to Montana and live in a bunker. Not quite ready for that yet, but maybe in a few years. Wink

Maybe Pescado needs another cell-mate?

Oh man, could you imagine Pescado with a roommate?  Grin
2305  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Who's getting the x-mas pack? on: 2005 November 14, 15:02:38
I have no intention of buying it. Like 25 bucks or whatever (I'm Canadian) for a bunch of objects that will probably be all over the exchange within a week anyway.

I completely agree - I'm sure someone will be so kind as to upload a lot that includes every single object anyway (I already have them lined up *cough*)
2306  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: phone hack on: 2005 November 12, 09:27:53
Probably when Pescado gets the game.  Keep your pants on.
2307  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fit for a King on: 2005 November 12, 03:55:22
Oooh, I love it!  Excellent bunker, Baddmark!  Grin
2308  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Shared neighborhood - ground rules on: 2005 November 11, 23:41:37
The fun for me would come from doing the unthinkable, like housing JM with Rentech... just to see....  What ambitions would they have?  How long could they last without arguing?  Could I get them to be friends...a couple...even married?  Of course, someone would have to upload Rentech with the appropriate personality.  Who knows, JM might even upload his own sim, stranger things have happened.... Shocked

Hehe, that sounds like a fiery ball of doom just waiting to happen.
2309  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened with Dr Boris on: 2005 November 11, 17:08:53
Maybe it's not.  Like I said, half the stuff on the Internet is untrue.
2310  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sharing neighborhoods - Simpotence thread on: 2005 November 11, 06:29:36
I'll make the Pescado Sim.  I already have a pretty good jumping off point, since JM did help me with the other one I made.

As for user names, if it's two words, or could be broken up into two words, that might work.
2311  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sharing neighborhoods - Simpotence thread on: 2005 November 11, 05:33:51
lol Motoki.  My Pescado Sim (E-Mail challenge) is now an elder, and is a miserable old son-of-a-b...
2312  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sharing neighborhoods - Simpotence thread on: 2005 November 11, 04:28:15
I like the hood.  Two thumbs up.  Grin
2313  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sharing neighborhoods - Simpotence thread on: 2005 November 11, 03:18:52
I like lush, flat terrain.  I'm boring that way, but I prefer houses I make to not be too much hassle - liveable and nothing fancy (besides, all the huge houses make my computer slow to a crawl anyway).
2314  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sharing neighborhoods - Simpotence thread on: 2005 November 11, 03:13:52
I would love to participate - sounds like a great way to alleviate some boredom.  I have both EP's, and hacks/CC are not a problem for me.
2315  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened with Dr Boris on: 2005 November 10, 22:07:22
I don't think anything you read about Dr. Boris is true.
2316  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened with Dr Boris on: 2005 November 10, 15:22:41
There will always be rumours as to who Dr. Boris is, much like there are rumours as to who Pescado is.

I still live by the philosophy that at least half the stuff you read on the Internet are all lies and half-truths.
2317  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Invisible Objects Are Back Again on: 2005 November 09, 16:18:10
I did know that, actually, but I use them anyway.   Wink  I like them more than the fugly Maxis rugs.
2318  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Invisible Objects Are Back Again on: 2005 November 09, 16:13:40
I find that my Sims can "hide" stuff under custom rugs, which is solved if I temporarily move the rug, then remove the object (usually homework - I guess they don't want to do it either).

I have also found that puddles are a much bigger pain than they used to be, with Sims not wanting to mop up certain portions.  It seems to be near the toilet, and once I move the toilet, they'll mop up the puddle.
2319  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I have Simpotence on: 2005 November 09, 16:01:16
I used to spend a lot of time on the Sims 2 website at work and back home but lately I prefer to hang in here mostly because you guys rocks and know what you are talking about and I learned a lot here (yes yes, I changed my mind on many things, mea culpa I was a sheep before).

I definitely know how you feel with that one, I feel the same way.  I pretty much hate the BBS now, although I was more about helping than finding help.  The things I do need help with, I find here.  Smiley

And the game is a little boring now, so I am no longer playing to make stories, except the Email challenge, which I haven't played for about a week now.  I find I have to gear myself up to play that lot, since it involves some concentration (and ruling with an iron fist, as opposed to letting the Sims call some of the shots).
2320  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Decent Custom Hair? on: 2005 November 09, 15:22:56
Isn't Simply Elau a pay site? In any case, it seems to be down for me at the moment.

Sims2sisters as far as I know doesn't have any new hair meshes, just recolors of hair meshes from other places. Some of them look funky and the recolors do nothing to help that. Others are high poly so watch out and check the counts in SimPE. Sim2sisters will include meshes with their recolors which is convenient because you then don't have to go hunting around all over the place to get the darned mesh, but they take no care to look out for poly counts and have posted some objects meshes from places like Sims2Ellis which has some horrendously high polygon count objects.

Simply Elau is partly pay - they do have some free stuff.

As for the poly count, what is considered high?  And do all places tell you the count, or is there some way to tell if they don't mention it?
2321  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Furious State-Any Mods/hacks to get around this? on: 2005 November 09, 15:21:12
It's funny to watch them run, but unfortunately I haven't had one die from that yet.  I tend to chicken out and cancel the action too soon, I guess.  It's always a Sim I don't necessarily want to die yet.   Embarrassed
2322  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 09, 00:16:19
I hate the TV's, even with the volume reduction cheat.  Sometimes I'll put one in for aesthetic reasons, but I usually end up taking it out before the night's end.  Tongue
2323  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 08, 23:25:05
On the first date with Meadow as a teen, my Sim got an SSX3 machine.  Since my Sims aren't allowed to have TV's, I sold it for some §  Grin
2324  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Roses PLUS a hot tub?? on: 2005 November 08, 22:24:43
LOL Trepie.  Grin
2325  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim wants to fall in love with her husband's alien son on: 2005 November 08, 21:55:08
Thank you all for your replies.  Smiley  I know technically they aren't related, but she did help with his upbringing, so I definitely view this as an icky situation.

Thanks again!

And Brynne - good call about marking all the relatives, I would so do that too, if my game was that big.  I tend to only play a couple of different families (and nowhere near as huge as yours), so I haven't run into that yet.
