76  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Custom Worlds not showing up in Main Menu on: 2012 January 10, 01:53:55
Does jfadeland show up under your main menu list? Because I can install all the worlds without error messages, but they don't show up in the Main Menu. They must be there, because I installed Arkham after I noticed this happening, and yet it works with a save file plopped in my Saves folder.

morriganrant, I will try your method. Cheers. I only need to use the .world file for this, correct? Right now, only Sunset Valley is in \GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds

Yep, just grab the .world file from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds and drop it in \GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds. That should be all you need. I install them with the launcher, grab them from Installed Worlds and then drop them in the other folder. So far only EA worlds have issue with this, I believe this to be related to information the launcher puts in the .dbc files, that's just a theory though.
77  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Custom Worlds not showing up in Main Menu on: 2012 January 09, 21:41:02
Ever since the beginning I've had issues with .Worlds showing in game. I drop them in the install folders in \GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds. This doesn't work with Riverview or Hidden Springs, you get string issues. You can get Arkham or Jerico to work this way though. So at least it's something to do until you figure out where the fuck up is.
78  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: decrapped Sims3pack fails after patch - any work around beside .packages? on: 2012 January 09, 20:56:13
Seems to work fine with sets. Do the corners of counters work okay in Knightguy's sets? I download the raw sims3packs and install everything myself. Problems with counter corners is why jeromycraig and Moryrie have the counter sims3packs available separately. The issues with counters is that when you place down a counter set and the corner forms, the corner may revert back to default color and be unCASTable or it may be CASTable but looks like the mapping on the counter corner is screwed. It's not a matter of CCmagic fucking up the counters, it's that methods of install other then the launcher seems to.

As for why you've never heard of CCmagic, perhaps it is because you don't check MTS for new shit very often? Give you a hint, it's a freaking program, so you look in programs.

Edit: Ah, you mean Sims3pack sets. Yes, all of the damn files show fine except the counters. After checking, even PanamaCrews .package sets have fucked up counters. You are doomed to fucked up counters, you've probably had fucked up counters this entire time and never realized it, unless you've always just left the .dbcs made by the launcher alone, I stick mine in the mods folder.
79  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: decrapped Sims3pack fails after patch - any work around beside .packages? on: 2012 January 09, 01:50:07
Nope, but to avoid the issue entirely you can use CCmagic. Doesn't work with counters, the textures still screw up. Any counter installed in a way other then the Launcher seems to screw up. CCmagic works well for general Sims3pack install and package combining. Seems to even install Worlds.
80  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Store content hidden stencils enabled - New Generations/Store 6/28 on: 2012 January 01, 01:15:51
Does this not work with decrapified .dbc files? I tried it and I figured I did something wrong which was the reason they weren't showing. I do have an "Overrides" folder and I have added the line to the Resource file and still nothing.

Just decrapify the stencils .package.
81  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 January 01, 00:40:25
Does anyone know where I can find the Fun for Kids of All Ages Compilation as untouched sims3packs?

In the store thread? I have it, and I sure as fuck didn't pay for it, so it's in there somewhere.
82  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TSM for TS3 on: 2011 December 19, 23:36:43
That doesn't mitigate the fact that the tard was too speshul a snowflake to search the thread.
Who said it did?
83  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TSM for TS3 on: 2011 December 15, 18:03:28
They posted in the right thread asking where they might find an item. Unless they are immersed in the community they might not know about TSM conversions. If I had known they would be so entitled as to want someone else to search through the thread for them, after being handed exactly what they were looking for, I wouldn't have bothered. Even I was WTF at that.

I believe every item in this thread is included in a post just a few above yours.

Just FYI, Every Item is, but the CAS items aren't. You still have to pick through the thread for the CAS stuff.
84  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 11, 01:07:48
I did what you said and now the store is showing up perfectly and it looks like everythings in it.  So, thank you again for that.  The only issue is that when I click on the register is says "browse" all greyed out because the store is closed.  I waitied for several in game hours (it was during the day) and no one came to open it.  Does it sometimes take a while to spawn or hire a worker or is this a sign that I screwed up?

That may be a sign of a nonworking register. I haven't actually fucked with the store. Just gotten it to show in the game. I assume my register functions as I have AM and the decrapified register, which nearly everyone else has and seems to work for them.

Did you decrapify the sims3pack first? Do you also have a decrapidied register?
85  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 10, 21:59:11
Morriganrant, thank you so much!  I will go give that a go right now.  I really appreciate you explaining that to me, because I was extrememly confused and I have a much better grasp of the actual install process now thanks to you.  Again, thank you very, very much!

Just remember that all files in DCCache are not from this sims3pack install, if you have installed sims3packs before the files in DCCache will contain those items. It should create a new .dbc file for this install, so don't delete files other then the one created just now. Otherwise you will be deleting objects you've installed previously.
86  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 10, 21:49:18
Just making sure I understood, the .package file that I downloaded of the store (which seems to allow me acess to the register and, I'm assuming, te other items) should just go directly into the library folder?
No, I think that only contains the Objects, though I could be wrong. When you install a sims3pack all the items in the Sims 3 pack combine into a .dbc file in DCCache, the lot file inside that same file should install to the Library but for whatever reason it may not. You also get a copy of each of those files individually in DCBackup. If you are on windows you could use a program and extract the Lot file itself from the Sims3pack, then just drop that into the library folder. I think it's package ID is 0xa16348826fb03ead41d9fe0dd3e284bd. If you do not have windows, you can use the Launcher and extract the file. Like I said, a copy of all files will be put into DCbackup when you try to install a sims3pack. Delete contents of DCbackup. Install Petshop Sims3pack. Delete resulting .dbc file in DCCache because you already have all those items in your game. Find file with the listed .package ID in DCbackup, drop that into the Library folder. You can rename it to EAPetShop.package or whatever before you do so if you like.

Where can I find a robe/cloak for female SIMS that look like something a queen would wear?

Try the TSM for TS3 thread, also in Pudding Factory.
88  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 10, 21:19:47
Okay, I'm completely prepared to get flamed, but I did try to do my research properly, so please bear that it mind.

Anyway, I cannot get the limited edition pet shop to show up in my game no matter what I do.  I downloaded the sims 3 pack, decrapified it and that didn't work (obviously, I read after I tried that that with that item decrapping breaks the register), so I removed it and installed it from a clean sims3 pack and that didn't work either.  Finally, I tried downloading a merged .package file that someone on here posted, and that DID work, I think....because I found the register in buy mode so I assume the other items are there, too.  But, the lot doesn't show up in the bin.  I even tried moving the sims3 packs into the library folder (I'm not sure if I did that right, I didn't really follow the post that suggested it), but still, no lot.  Could someone please tell me what to do to get that bloody lot to show up?

Find the individual .package file that is the actual lot file. Drop that into the Library folder.
89  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Subfolders for downloads? on: 2011 December 09, 03:32:32
Take the one you have in C:\Users\****\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and put it in Mods.

I've found missing strings to mostly happen when I have a second copy of an item installed. Such as instances where I had individual sets and also compilation packs installed because I hadn't picked through them properly. Same when I have the full sets installed as well as the separated counters.

Not having actually looked at the file you attached, I think 0k and has nothing means the save you included was empty for some reason, not that it was OK and had nothing wrong with it.

Jesus Christ was that it? My eye sight is shit. Well, I haven't been near m gaming computer for days so I wouldn't have been able to reup anyway. It rared up fine. Perhaps goombas ate it.

The first save had it I swear. It's the same save I used to take the picture up thread.

Hmm, that is strange. I just clicked the link and the set showed for me. Same link: http://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.html?scategoryId=&index=0&productId=OFB-SIM3:42771

I will check back and see if the link changed.

It's fixed now, I think their site is just having issues, while browsing through the store another set did the same with me, but is functioning now as well.
94  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 November 03, 20:01:37
brownlustgirl, the link to the free item info is 404'd. If you want to fix that, I'll shift your post then.

That's EAs issue. When you go to the Nov compilation set page and try to click on the link to the Tis the Season set it does the same.
95  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The infinite grounding loop, RE: Generations on: 2011 November 03, 19:57:14
The grounding is confinement to the lot. The adult only has a shit fit when the teen tries to go to a location off lot, like the school bus sitting on the road. He can go out and swing on the swings in the yard, get the mail, sit on the lawn without issue, at least so far. So, you could confine the teen to a underground bunker, garage, tool shed, or even a tree house on lot for story telling purposes if the mood so took you.
96  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The infinite grounding loop, RE: Generations on: 2011 November 02, 19:18:35
That house is all EA made, I just dropped in a dress up chest and a tree house to fulfill some wants while I was waiting for the scenario to play itself out. Not one of my houses. Tongue
97  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 November 02, 19:12:00
I just had a sim roll a want to "play with" the wall cat toy. It had an image of her cat's face on it and said "Your pet wants to blah blah".

That is unfulfillable, but only once the cat is an adult, they stand there while the cat plays with the wall toy, I think they might even flick it.
98  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 November 01, 22:05:31
Rechecked the "small dog can't drink from toilet" issue and it still happens with different families(no CC other then a no-cd). It makes sense that the small dog couldn't reach to drink from the toilet, except they throw up the want to do so and it is unfulfillable.
Does your dog have the Neat trait? While I haven't actually tried to get my neat pets to drink from the toilet, it seems counter-productive to their personalities. Try again with a small dog with the Piggy trait.

This second dog was a adopted dog with nothing but the playful trait. Added two more dogs to the household, one large with piggy trait, one small with same. Large dog can drink from toilet, small dog can not. I have seen the small dogs roll the "drink from toilet" want and I was unable to fulfill that. I had originally thought that it might be an issue with an EA made creature(as is common), this is not the case anymore obviously.

Back to report it's most certainly a EA issue. Using the same family, no AM, only CC is Twallans No-cd, my teen autonomously attempts to walk out the house to get on the bus and he's autonomously denied by his parent due to the grounding. I assume he wasn't denied on his way to school the first few times because he was not in the same room as the parent when he headed for the bus, this time he is. Pressing the "go to school" button and re triggering the "get on bus" action brings it back up in the queue only for it to immediately be dropped. It should probably be mentioned that the grounding is not a confinement to the house, but one to the lot, he can go out and swing on the swings in the yard just fine so far.
