1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2014 July 09, 04:24:36
well as I said I did search but was met with a barrage of broken links. Now I'll admit I might have skipped over that thread or my search string may have been too specific, either way I have since found the thread you were talking about. Perhaps if things were maintenance, dead threads deleted, broken links removed that would prevent the barrage of people asking the same damn thing. Then again if that happened you wouldn't have people to chew out for doing what you've asked them to do. Oh well.

WCIF links to download the worlds that aren't broken? I searched all over here and found a ton of results but most links were broken. I managed to get Hidden Springs and Barnacle Bay but still need Lucky Palms, Lunar Lakes, Sunlit Tides, and Aurora Skies. Thanks in advance.

I am prepared to face my lashings as long as I get an answer to my question. Unfortunately I've been around MATY long enough to know that that's not really likely but I thought I'd try anyway. I recently had to format my computer and lost all the games and store stuff. To make things easier I installed all my games via origin and then downloaded the store stuff from here. I've decrapified the same way I always remember doing before (admittedly it had been awhile since I added anything or even played) and yet I still can't get anything to show up in my game. It acts like it's installing and it takes forever, considering I just grabbed everything that's been uploaded to the store; but still when I boot my game up nothing. I'm not sure if it's because I installed all the games virtually through origin or if there is something else. I have the S3P in this directory: C:\Users\Finneus\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads and I have s3rc as well as the s3rc batch file in there as well. I have searched the hell out of MATY and the internet and not found an answer that's solved the problem. Lastly I do notice that after I install it puts files in my DCBackup folder; not sure if that's relevant.

The dialogue for my batch file is:
Code:
for /R %%i in (*.sims3pack) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.package) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.nhd) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.sim) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.dbc) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"

I heard there were two store patches but I was only prompted to install one. Like Heli said the only thing that was changed in mine was MODL. I know it's not MATY sanctioned but I use the launcher almost everytime I boot up the game so if there really were two store patches I think I would have seen them both.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 October 18, 15:13:41
Same here, I noticed that I got a new store icon too. The patch only breaks user made CC, store content works fine. I believe those that have the arred content in .package format are experiencing problems because the game reads them as CC and not EA items.

I believe you are correct on this. I removed all my .package and reinstalled them as .sims3pack and as far as I can tell they seem to be working ok.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pets patch - all CC borked! on: 2011 October 17, 20:29:20
There are a couple of threads of interest on the topic over at MTS apparently anything made with or using _RIG is borked.
I came here wondering if we'd have to re-upload/download all the store stuff because there was a patch to make them compatible that the store released but obviously that applies differently here considering the method in which we obtain the materials. Apparently custom hairs/clothes/make-up/etc aren't effected. Also there has been speculation that statues/decorative objects aren't effected. Or at least that's how I understand it but I'm not a modder.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 June 11, 14:34:33
Yeah they kept saying they were going to do some "spring cleaning" so it was your last chance to get certain items. I don't know if they're going that as a promotional thing or what. I'll be surprised if they only remove UL but I think jeromycraig might be on to something.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Sims 3 Generations imaginary friend doll on: 2011 June 05, 15:18:20
Also as to answer Clifford's post it not autonomous because i went through almost an entire toddler life span and didn't see my sim play with it once

You must have had your kid busy all the time because my girls were CONSTANTLY pulling out the dolls and playing with them. If I left them alone for a second when I went back they'd be playing with the dolls.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 June 05, 05:51:31
I just searched the site for "decrapper file" but nothing came up.  I had absolutely no problem installing CC before the patch, and now nothing will install even after i uninstalled and refused to patch. I just keep getting that stupid "Installation Failed: Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again. Done!" Message. I've searched every where and tried all the suggestions (hence reinstalling my game) and still nothing. I don't know if its just the sims3packs from here that aren't downloading or what.  Sad

Edit: The CC from the store downloads fine.  I think they blocked third party .sims3packs again.  Undecided

Well one the launcher is horrid I never use that thing.
Two; if you're having problems using TS3packs then I would suggest using .package files instead.
Use Delphy's Sims3Pack Multi Installer and convert them to .package.
Search here for Recompressor and you will find all the secrets for decrapping
THEN If you want you can use s3pe to merge them all into one .package
and then drop them into your mods folder.

OR you could find out how to decrap TS3packs but I never do that so you're on your own.

Thanks! It's still not working for me, my game just freezes every time I go to load my town.  This happened with CC I downloaded before so I just removed it and it works fine.  I decided not to do the decrapping since I found many warnings that it will mess your game up. Oh well, I'll give up for now. Thank you any way! Smiley

Edit: I got it to work by using tickleonthetums's tutorial for problematic sims3packs! Thanks again for your help Smiley

Glad you figured it out.
As a side note decrapping only messes up your game if you don't know what you're doing; decrap the wrong thing; or use someone else's decrap files.

it don't work with cas created toddlers just ones born in game
I created a toddler in CAS, in a fresh hood, and he pulled out a doll the very second the family moved into their house. Weirdly, the doll was already named, unlike the ones I've received in the mail.

I've only had two children but both of them got dolls in the mail and they were both already named. I had the option to rename them however.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Missing Skills on: 2011 June 02, 18:17:52
Yeah and as far as I can tell nothing. I'm in a household of 4 but basically working with only one skill gaining sim so it's taking me a moment.

EDIT: Well now I feel stupid apparently my EADM wasn't up to date. It seems to have fixed now.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Missing Skills on: 2011 June 02, 18:11:58
Did a google and MATY search and found nothing. I'm sure you'll be quick to tell me if this has been asked already though.

So just installed Generations last night and I've noticed that my sims aren't earning skills. I just realized it because I have a sim that's a writer, is on her third book, and still no writing skill. Also my toddlers never learned to walk, talk, or go potty but that could be unrelated cause I was a pretty shitty parent to them. She also cooks on the regular and hasn't earned any cooking skill. The only skill related mod I have is the one that shows the hidden skills and as far as I can tell those aren't leveling either. So... any help would be much appreciated.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TSM for TS3 on: 2011 May 16, 20:34:15
Thanks Cocomama. I'm pretty noob-y at this kind of stuff but if I get it to work then I'll put something up here if anyone else is interested. I just hope I don't need s3pe because mine is not working ATM. Anyway; thanks again for the links.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TSM for TS3 on: 2011 May 16, 06:45:42
Just want to throw a quick thought out there and actually I'm not even sure this is possible but what code would need to be changed to allow TSM sculptures to be sculptable with the Ambitions sculpture station?
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 May 06, 15:24:31
So my s3pe is broken or it might just hate me. No matter what I try to do it's giving me a Microsoft .Net Framework error. So I was wondering if you guys had run across this? I know it's not technically a sims issue but you know. I guess I could couple it with a request for someone to convert the may items into separate packages by set for me? Oh actually how about separate packages period so I can later complain about how my game runs slow?

EDIT: It's no longer giving me the framework error it's now giving me this:

Is it seriously crapping out on me because of some weird font error?

17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 April 07, 18:00:29
That weeaboo shit for kids is borderline virtual child abuse.

I agree but it makes more sense making it for kids than adults. I rarely ever see adults wearing it but teens at my local mall are always wearing that "lolita" shit. I wonder if any of them really know what the original Lolita was all about...
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TSM for TS3 on: 2011 April 06, 03:12:51
cocomama - The bookshelves (which look great btw); do they have the animations where they get more books on the shelves as you put more books in? As far as I know there are no such animations on TSM so I was wondering if custom ones were made (or would need to be made) or if what you see is what you get.

Just to see if it was possible I've converted two chairs using S3PE versie 10-1104-1243, S3ObjTool, Milkshape 1.8.5 and TSRW TSRW_2_0_15.exe.
They work fine in my game and I think I used basegameobjects to build them with.

Yeah, I've been working on a few things myself. It's good to see someone else having success though! That first one I've been trying to work on modifying the mesh to make it a bar stool. I've been having trouble but I'm not very good at meshing which is why most of my stuff never sees the internets. Do you mind if I use the one you converted to work on the bar stool or is it no different than the TSM mesh? They look great BTW.

I'm starting to see why you guys have given up on helping n00bs. Besides isn't there a stickied thread of decrapifying? Nooooooot to mention if your not decraping (which I realize is a personal life choice) then that's probably why your shit isn't working.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 February 08, 03:43:42
Have you checked the other ages. Perhaps your downloaded Sims are either teens or full adults.

If that was the case they'd still show up in CAS just show up as teens/adults/whatever. I had only one sim not show up in CAS and it was some weird junked up hacked modded shit. It would not show up and then when I tried to switch to another sim it would CTD. I'm not sure if that's the same probablem this person is having but if it is the only way I solved it was by deleting that sim.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 February 07, 16:06:45
oh see that's my bad. Cause you quoted yourself I just assumed you were the person having problems. That is I didn't look at your user name. I agree with you I just didn't realize it was you.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 February 07, 03:20:39
You're not sorry and you couldn't have looked very hard. Where did you find these store items? Look there for your answer.

If only someone had hinted as to where to find decrapping instructions.

Look back like four god damn pages. I just got reamed for leading someone to decrap instructions. WTF.

PS: the bolded word is the key to the answer you seek.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 February 02, 00:10:43
The crappy hair and helmet set. It went with FLS, but it was free for everyone. So, semi-incentive, hence the ''.

Le Edit: UPS just delivered my copy, and while it still encourages one to 'register' for 'awesome stuff', it just mentions the crapchange, other 'features' of the official website, and nothing else. The only store ad is depicting Barnacle Bay.

Same here. Eh they probably won't do anything. I just didn't know if anyone had heard of anything since HELs had one. I totally forgot about FLs crap incentive. Anyway I just thought I'd put it out there. :/
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 February 01, 20:43:46
I've bought Outdoor Living but I can't for the life of me find a registration incentive.
If someone has seen it I'd be more than happy to grab it and upload.
