1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cheerleaders in Llama Suits on: 2006 February 22, 13:49:55
I think I would rather have an elderly cheerleader in a Llama suit than a cheerleading outfit.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lame Party Scoring on: 2006 February 21, 21:21:26
That's why the hot tub is a hit.  Nobody likes stinky guests anyway.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lame Party Scoring on: 2006 February 21, 18:57:42
Be careful who you invite, I suggest three neutral guests.
Do the cake/wedding thing early.
Use the aspiration eyeglasses to boost a few relationships.
Have food, but don't worry too much about it.  A gelatin dessert will do fine.
Send any bad apples home, you can invite another over to compensate.
Keep the traffic in the bathrooms flowing, I suggest using arches instead of doors.
Keep it social with a hot tub.

Avoid:  fights, ghost scares, bladder failures, rejected interactions, host going to bed during party

Venusy, quit with the Maths.  It's not working out for you.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Most Awesome Week? on: 2006 February 20, 21:55:51
It's pretty sad when you wake up in the morning and your first thought is, I wonder if I have enough time to play Sims before going to work.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Take a look on: 2006 February 17, 21:54:51
Yes, I think Mickey may have something he needs to tell his new roommate about.  Ties to the mob, trustfund, whatever.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: We have Rape/impregnation, Necrophilia, and STDs. whats next for the expansi on: 2006 February 17, 20:42:55

Gee, thanks.  I think I just developed a cuteness rash.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: University! At last! on: 2006 February 17, 17:43:11
I don't send anyone to college anymore.  Got sick of the thousands of sims in their address books, perma-platinum and top of career before they're even 1 adult day old.  And seriously, if I hear Baddeboodebop from that cheerleader one more time!
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Awww... shucks (newsbox) on: 2006 February 14, 20:17:30
Amen to that.  We should rename this holiday "indulge yourself day".  Tonight I am having some filet mignon with a loaded baked potato.  And I am making this : http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo-ear/RecipeController?action=recipe&language=1&recipeID=557&recipeType=1

yumm... they can keep their stinky flowers.

Aw, crap.  You've got me drooling all over my desk.

Get TiVo.  Commercials are so passé.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stuff I'd like to see on: 2006 February 13, 22:01:17
I've started using Call Over but if your sim is close to the stairs he may autonomously decide to be the leader in the stairgame.  In hindsight I should really try to have all the interesting objects on the same floor.    Or have a magnet by the front door.  That stupid bingo game and the swing are great magnets.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stuff I'd like to see on: 2006 February 13, 18:04:39
Here's what makes me pull my hair out.  I send my sim to interact with a visitor.  Meanwhile the visitor has decided to go up the stairs.  By the time my sim is upstairs, the command has disappeared and needs to be given again.  Meanwhile the visitor has decided to go down the stairs.  Repeat.  Works very well with the nanny.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Getting the husband to take his wife's name on: 2006 February 09, 21:38:01
"3 Bedroom Victorian"

Very creative street name!  Haha!
Don't feel bad.  I made a neighborhood called Seabreeze and wanted to name all my streets after ocean..um stuff, realized later after naming a whole street full of houses that Shallot is the onion, not the mollusk.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: helpful ghosts on: 2006 February 07, 22:16:22
Ghosts suck.  I had 24 ghosts in my legacy house.  Some were really mean and others where helpful, but they all scared the crap out of my family.    Their targeting preference seem to be (pure superstition on my part I'm sure):
1. pregnant sim
2. child
3. teen
4. visiting sims (especially at parties)
5. elder sim
6. adult sim
100. any age sim with Knowledge aspiration

They especially like teaming up and scaring the same sim twice.  I did notice that previous family members were a lot more vengeful than  say, innocent townies who happened to die on the lot.  (I might just add that I specifically never deleted beds, instead had a warehouse stacked with haunted ones.)
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What really drains system resources on a lot? on: 2006 February 02, 16:57:08
My bad lots all have fences, flowers, water and more than one floor.  What do you know!  This is very helpful.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: But it seemed like such a good idea at the time! on: 2006 February 01, 17:21:42
It's hilarious how threads about slow loading due to too much crap usually leads to exchanging links to sites that have crap.
17  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Ethiopian Challenge! Because E-Mail Was Too Easy! on: 2006 January 30, 22:53:54
I'm playing a hobo-variant.

Unofficial Hobo Variant:
A phone-booth is the only structure on the lot, a 1x1 room with a phone, archway, windows on two sides and a decoration on the back.
No plumbing.
No food or drink.
No bed.
No electronics (other than battery powered).
No bookcases, telescopes or chess sets.
No stealing food (at least not when eating garbage is a reasonable alternative).
No working or going to school. Think unemployed and illiterate.
No dates.
Anything goes on community lots as per ethiopian rules, altough skilling, earning money and paying for stuff is forbidden.

It's basically Ethiopian + email + other nasty restrictions Cheesy. Except with a concession allowing the phone booth and street light (walls are illegal for email, phone & light are illegal in Ethiopian, but they are intended to be "lot fixtures" rather than property of the hobos, modifying them in any way would be a breach of hobo-variant rules).

You know Grater, you can just put a sim on an empty lot and don't buy anything at all ever.  Sounds fun?
18  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Sit-On-Your-Hands Challege (unrefined) on: 2006 January 30, 22:48:37
Can you start the game and then go to work?
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis wants pregnant sims to waste away? on: 2006 January 27, 22:20:13
See, and they say cleaning is not excercise.  Pfft!
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis wants pregnant sims to waste away? on: 2006 January 27, 18:26:11
Anger can be used very constructively.  I've cleaned my whole house on a fit of rage.
21  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: (Featuring Twain, LK and Trubble) The ISBI Challenge on: 2006 January 24, 18:16:46
This is a fun challenge.  Maybe I'll do this again.  Already getting bored with Ethiopian - there are just so many times you can stand loading a community lot.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: STOP ASKING TO BE READ TOO! on: 2006 January 19, 15:36:41
Does reading to a toddler or child produce any hidden results (like make them smarter), or is it pure entertainment?
23  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: caffeine challenge..perhaps? on: 2006 January 19, 15:25:25
And you  may shake so uncontrollably that you can't manage to put the ring on your bride's finger.

When Uni came out I practically had my sims live on the community lot.  As long as they had expresso (sp?) they could go on forever.  I did notice that after NL it's a little harder to get them all boosted up with caffeine.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 10, 21:57:05
Yep, it's quite ironic if you go back to Pleasantville and notice how many family-romance couples are in there.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 07, 14:42:37
I wonder if the star sign attaction part is stronger than any of the other ones.  That may be why we see sims with only one bolt or even a crossed out bolt obsessing over each other.  Or they're just weird.  (You make me gag!  Want to date?)
