1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 2.3+CC bullshit. I refuse to reinstall AGAIN. on: 2009 December 25, 21:27:43
Where do you get the framework? And thank you for the walk-through I am installing WA now, so this will be interesting to see if it works.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Download Manager? (to find invisible files) on: 2009 October 17, 23:19:36
Hi recently I downloaded a few sims from the exchange which had custom content on them (I was originally told that those files would not install - but they have) and NOW I don't know where to look to get rid of these rogue files.

Where should I look?
Also Is there a program which would scan through files and show what they are so I can delete them?
(Like a file manager of some sorts) - These files don't show up in EA's download manager, so I'm really not sure how to get rid of them.

Also I have looked in my MODS folder, downloads folder etc and still can not seem to find them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiley
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Download overriding my Eye Replacements on: 2009 July 21, 03:48:46
Ok so now none of my downloads are working - I'm not even sure what happened.

What I've tried:
  • Deleting Cache Files
  • Re-Installing Files
  • Deleting Sims out of the SavedSims
  • Deleting the Resource.cfg File

I don't know what else to do - Can anyone help me?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Download overriding my Eye Replacements on: 2009 July 20, 04:14:15
Hi everyone.

So I downloaded a sim from the Exchange & I guess they had their own eye replacements, so now the ones that I created don't show up anymore.
I was wondering how I could delete this other file that seems to be overriding my own file.

I just can't seem to find this file either - I installed this sim through EA's installer if that helps.

I have also tried re-installing my own eye replacement (deleting the Cache files) and still nothing works.

Also is there a Download manager or a Clean installer yet?
I just don't want this thing to happen again.

Thank you for any help you can give me as well.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installation Error : Microsoft WSE 3.0 X509 Certificate Tool ? on: 2009 June 30, 06:14:18
I have tried the add/remove programs thing. I tried that before even coming here - too scared not to try things before posting ya know?

Also I just remember just before I installed the new Video card I tried to do a "System Restore" roll back,
because I tried updating drivers on my "BAD" Video card, and well since the card was bad it just glitched to all hell.

Would this have anything to do with that?
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Installation Error : Microsoft WSE 3.0 X509 Certificate Tool ? on: 2009 June 30, 06:00:50
I'm just now re-installing my game after having to get a NEW OS because my previous OS got corrupted, and my Video card also died so I got a new one of those as well.

I'm now trying to install the game again and all I get is

Microsoft WSE 3.0 X509 Certificate Tool
After being at what appears 100% of the installation.
Then it goes to "Finish" so I click that and try to run the game -
It then says: Sims3launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Anyone else having this problem? or knows how do I fix it?

MORE INFO:
Windows XP Spk3
GeForce 9800 GT
Dual Core 6600 - 4GB RAM

Not sure if that will help at all actually.
I'm about ready to just give up, but I know the great folks over hear will most likely have an answer.
Thank you Smiley
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is SecuRom on the Sims3 hard copy? on: 2009 June 03, 02:32:30
So where to do download a NOcd fix for the game?

I'm about to install it but I really don't want to take any chances.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 27, 05:33:50
Is there a way to add more sims to your neighborhood once it's started?

I couldn't figure it out, and if you cant then that truly SUCKS.
9  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) [Now with Aspiration and LTW tracking!] on: 2009 May 10, 20:42:17
The dlls that you downloaded from this thread go with SimSheet; anything that was in the SimPE 7zip file goes with SimPE.  If both programs run, you did it right.

There is not much you can do to break it, to be honest - this isn't TS2, after all.  Did you change the "path to SimPE" in SimSheet to match where you installed the QA?

I am actually gradually accruing a documentation page here, which is still incomplete, though it does have instructions on importing.

What is the QA?
Do I need to create this or will it be in SimPE or will it be in the SimSheet?

Ok I just read through your linked document, it was very helpful and as far as I can tell I have followed those instructions though I still get the "No Output" error.
I will try doing this again just to make sure I did not miss anything.
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) [Now with Aspiration and LTW tracking!] on: 2009 May 10, 20:30:46
It sounds like you do not have the right version of SimPE.  You need the latest QA, which can be found here.

Ok I just installed the new version but I did get an error that said no output.

So do the DLL files go with SimSheet or do I stick them in the SimPE program somewhere?

I think I need a break down of how to install it & how to import families.

I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out but I would rather not break it LOL.
11  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) [Now with Aspiration and LTW tracking!] on: 2009 May 10, 20:21:04
I think I need a walk through for this *blonde and airheaded*

I have Simsheet in one file on my desk top (that is where I have the files all stored)
Then I have SimPE installed on my C drive in program files

When I go to import a neighborhood it brings up the Black Loader exe thing, it opens SimPE - but then does nothing after that.

Am I required to do anything further at this point? I have no idea how to use this program but I would LOVE to use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also thank you for the program, I just can't wait to use it Smiley
12  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: CS Stove, Careers, and More! - New Jungle Swing 09/10/08 on: 2009 March 21, 01:54:13
Just wondering but has the CS cooking pit been added?

I really loved that thing in CS so I think it would be awesome to have a working one for S2
13  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) [Now with Aspiration and LTW tracking!] on: 2009 March 01, 23:24:35
How do you install this program?

And how do you find sims? Do you have to manually put the information in?
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Simpose 2? on: 2009 January 07, 05:02:23
I think Simpose is pretty cool. You can save your poses but it's a pain in the @$$. If you want to play around with it there are some useful tutorials on Sim Contest forum, but it's also not very useful too. I think I have a love hate thing with it.
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 25, 21:34:04
Ok so I have created a Store File in the programs files area (previous address from another post- just can't remember where exactly)
And then I put the files in both the downloads area and that other folder...

At first I had some of the hair show up but now just 2 of the hairs show up and none of the other stuff shows up in BodyShop.

I downloaded the files from the main page here & also the files from the other thread... I'm not sure what to do from here to get everything to show up.

I have most of the ep's except Holiday & Ikea...
I have looked through several pages to find the answer but couldn't find the info & the info I did come across I've tried.

So could we edit the first post in this thread or in the new thread to address this issue & how can I fix this??

Also thank you for making these files available.

-Note: I do not have the EA Store installer so should I install it & does it have SecuRom on it?
16  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Enabling Build/Buy In Apartments on: 2008 August 30, 20:39:44
I have a question - I'm making an apartment and I want to have a little porch from each apartment that then leads down to each apartments basement... So my question is: If I surround the porches with half-walls will it still work as an apartment?

In the guide it says: "The apartment door must be the only way to enter the apartment. If you want to put in a back door, surround the are with a wall. Without the wall, this lot wont work."

Are half-walls considered walls is what I'm getting to.
17  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My second FT Disk wasn't working on install so I... on: 2008 August 28, 19:44:17
Ok I found this little tutorial that I'm going to try out first before I "arr" it http://www.ehow.com/how_2003545_sims2-manual-install.html

We will see if it works...

Edit to add:
It worked so I didn't have to "arr" it. Very happy about that.
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My second FT Disk wasn't working on install so I... on: 2008 August 28, 19:35:07
So do you have to download other things to use an "arr"?
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My second FT Disk wasn't working on install so I... on: 2008 August 28, 19:07:53
See I would probably "arrr" it now but I have no idea about those things, see I'm pretty squeeky clean except for the No-CD crack and thats only because of SecuRom that I even use it. Damn EA-IS!
20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / My second FT Disk wasn't working on install so I... on: 2008 August 28, 18:43:17
Ok I've been trying for 2 days to get my FT expansion pack to install but it would freeze on the second disk, So I copied the files from the disk into the folder, Will this ep now be installed and run or is there another way to fix this?

See when I installed AL, it told me that FT wasn't installed (which it was cause I had been playing that EP til AL), so I uninstalled FT and got my disks out of storage to re-install the EP but then it would just freeze all together on the second disk, at about 54%.... This was extremely annoying - and have no idea what would have caused this.

Anyway Now I think I might have FT installed from just copying the files over from the disks into the correct folders, of course it doesn't show up in the accessories but I can live with that just so long as I can use the EP.. I'm not about to buy another disk set so I truly hope this works. I'm about to test it, but I'm worried that by loading the game now it will royally screw up my computer. So now I'm here for advise since I'm not as Awesome as you guys on fixing problems.... Any help would be great in this matter.

I did do a disk scan, and I didn't need to defrag so I didn't. The only other thing I can think of is that I'm using the no-cd crack for AL, but I'm not sure if that would make it so my Disk 2 wouldn't work for FT on install... strange...
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Bon Voyage goes Buh-Bye on: 2008 August 28, 16:53:40
I'm actually currently having this problem but with FT. I installed AL and then FreeTime when bye bye. So now I'm trying to intall FT, and can't get my second disk to run - I put the disk in when I'm prompted to and then it just hangs at 54% without responding... I'm not sure how to fix this.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 06, 02:58:36
Does anyone know if the nocd thing has been updated for this patch yet?
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2008 February 21, 06:40:07
Because the game will check for it when it "checking to make sure your game is up to date." After that, you're cool to use the crack again, because stuff packs run off the most recent EP's executable.

How would I go about getting the original boot up if I deleted it? Also since they have new patches out - should I install those and then try and find the no-cd crack which will work with it?
I haven't installed any patches because I'm afraid I'll get the wrong version of no-cd crack.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 13, 16:38:31
I would like to see someone reply to JCspencer as well, I don't know that much about SecuROM (and I read quite a bit as well.)

I just assumed I wanted it off of there because I just got a new PC and didn't want anything to get messed up, I work hard to keep things off my system that I don't want on there or didn't put on there.

So on a 50/50 chance that it might mess up my burner, or disable some of my programs... Lets say it gets back on there, what could I do to limit it, so it doesn't have full rein over my PC?

Also I realized that if I buy other PC games it's most likely going to have some sort of protection on it and even possibly SecuROM, which will be on my pc anyways (unless I play with cracks, which I might do.)

(I already uninstalled SecuROM from my machine but since I patched my game I'm seriously thinking about just uninstalling BV, and reinstalling it the way that was suggested in the first post.)
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 15:11:50
I did find it. And I'm going to remove it, although it doesn't look it from my previous post - I do know how to do things on my pc, I'm not as dumb as I sound (read). Anyway I just woke up and this SecuROM thing is very new to me.

While I like BV I'm going to uninstall it all together, but first remove the SecuROM and start new. (Without installing BV I don't like it enough to go through the crack thing. But I might change my mind later, who knows.)

I'm just glad that MATY is here, you guys are the best. /kissass
