1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY! on: 2009 September 01, 03:19:34
I have sent in my support. I am happy to support those that make the Sims the game that it is for me.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Securom string found in Process Explorer dump of TheSims3.exe on: 2009 June 18, 22:44:41
Does Securom on the download version or The disk DRM has any direct hardware access?

Does Direct Hardware Access means RING0 communication?

A question; Why are you so obsessed with the SucUrom issue now? That show is not playing currently on the "Horror". You have been told by the best that the disc version of Sims 3 contains an inept version of the so called DRM. Did you have so much fun at the last SucUrom Fight that you want to start another one?

It is time to move onto other issues contained in this not ready for "Prime Time" game.

It is still on the Download version of "the Horror", muffinhead.

Now lets not get into name calling. I know from reading the thread you started and from other sources that SecUrom is on the downloaded version as well as having been on the pre released versions in various forms or another. What are you going to do about SucUrom, no matter where it is? You either take steps to avoid it such as a no CD crack, or you live with it. In the Sims 2, I took steps to avoid it. In the Sims 3 the research indicated that it was a non issue. Pescado himself has said it, what more do you want?

This is a dream come true. I have always hoped for a more expanded laptop that my Sims could study from. It makes more sense for collage students to have laptops.

First. thank you so much for your update to this computer. I was getting depressed about not being able to study anything except the Maxis defaults. I use Inga's wonderful objects to make schools and having lost the bookcase and then the study computer made for a dismaying state of affairs. Second, I would love. love to have the laptop collage computer!!!

Thank you again for all your efforts.  Smiley

Thank all of you for your help. Smiley I might also warn you not to Move the Maxis lot with the red roofed hotel in the mountain vacation. Probably better not move the other one either. Roll Eyes I don't often gripe about them, but leave it to Maxis to put out these corrupt lots, and then not warn anyone not to try and move them.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Lots don't fit in area where they should. on: 2008 January 05, 03:29:48
Has anyone had the problem of trying to fit a lot in where there should be plenty of space for it, and yet it does'nt fit in. I moved a Maxis lot to make room for another and I could not get it into that space no matter what I did. I moved neightborhood items, made sure there were no trees in the way, etc. Then to add insult to injury, the orginal Maxis lot would not fit back there either. Undecided What gives? Is there some cheat that only Maxis knows and uses to get lots to fit in places? Is there a cheat that anyone else can use? Has this happened to anyone else? Any help or insight would be appreciated. Cool

I don't know. I have become rather attached to Inga PE. It works for me and after all Inga came through for us Cheesy. Before she got involved I began to think that we would not see an update until after the next expansion pack, if then. Tongue
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 03, 11:09:06
I installed Seasons  after backing up my game.I was stunned to discover all my favorite fixes and hacks still work in game. they usually break immediately. the lone exception was with cep as usual that is broken. since Pleasant view is my favorite neighborhood and the  one I play exclusively I didn't want to lose my families so I added seasons rather than starting fresh.SimPe of course doesn't recognize the new Maxis hood.
So the only apparent updates needed on my Programs are  CEP and Sim Pe. with SimPe it works with all the original neighborhoods and sims just the new hood needs to be added and weather related items and clothing, objects.so that was a pleasant surprise. with Pets SimPe was hopelessly broken. CEP breaks all the time anyway even when it is updated I have issues with flashing "blue" objects

Hum, that is quite odd. I have never had trouble with CEP.  And there is no trouble this time either. I wonder if perhaps you might have some garbage objects and  unwanted duplicates.  Garbage objects resulted from installing houses without Clean installer and the game would then generate one of those long long non discriptive filenames.

I stand corrected on the creation of the objects tool. I actually thought Quaxi, and dizzy two were a part of MTS. With so many migrations it is hard to keep track. I certainly do not want to rob anyone of well deserved credit. Whenever I go to Sims Resource, the tool used to create objects was sited as coming from MTS. They may have changed that now. Undecided

Well, I find the new interface to be a bit daunting myself, but I think it is unfair in the extreme to bash Mod2.

1. They were the first real Sims2 site to come on line. They are responsible for paving the way, so to speak for many of the later sites. Many who have their own sites now, started out at MTS They were the real start of the Sims2 community.

2. They host their site for free and the also support others
.
3. Delphy and Mod the Sims are the ones that created the tools that so employ in their making of objects. If we had to rely on Maxis we would be still waiting.

I enjoy this site myself, but I don't feel the need to bash MTS in order to show my appreciation for this siete. It is one thing to say you don't care for the new layout, and quite another to say they "suck". etc.
