Title: plastic surgery help
Post by: NinaC on 2007 July 07, 00:47:13
hey, i wanted to know is there a way to undo and go back to the original sim's look. i know that the game knows what the face looks like because of the whole genetics thing.

thanx

Only thing I can think of involves self-pollination and sim surgery, ideally in a throwaway neighborhood.  DNA information is stored in a different way than face information, and I don't think there's any way to have the former map directly to the latter.

I believe if you delete LXNR 0x02 in the sim's character file, then change appearance at a mirror, it should restore the original look. Untested, though.

If that doesn't work you could try this http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=56241 but do it the other way around so the modified version (line 2) is replaced by the original (line 1). ie replace the Plastic surgery face with the original face.

Don't forget to backup first though..

Backing up first: Good advice, but clearly not the words of someone who graduated from the Cortez School of Business Management.

i will try those. also THIS IS WEIRD! i had a freakin' dream that i was playing the sims, and used a cheat to set the age back to a kid then change it back to an adult and it came out normal. so hopefully that will work. but i dunno. i'm about to try everything out.

thanks everyone :)

Testing right now. Will update you shortly.

ETA: Seems to have worked just fine.
