The hot-fix was for inteen, which is not supported any more and is not awesome.

Not a particularly simple request, but I'll look into it.
78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting memories for dummies on: 2006 January 25, 03:44:46
3: Still assuming that tokens should not be deleted, is it ok if i set another owner on them? On a lot of my sims, the tokens for toddler skill, or college grants are owned by either a townie, or an Unknown Sim.

NEVER change any data associated with a token! Tokens are not memories, they don't have owners. SIMPE wrongly reports token data the same way as memories, so it will point to a sim based on the data in the first property field.  This data could mean anything and changing it may cause undesirable effects in the game.

Should fix the problem of sims walking up to a computer that is in use and stomping their feet.

Compatible with NL and UNI

Download the OFB version for OFB.
80  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Dormie assignment fix on: 2006 January 20, 04:56:43

Fixes a Maxian bug whereby dormies will start a new assignment rather than finishing the old one, leading to assignment clutter.
There will still be occasions where a new assignment is created (If the dormie can't get to the old one).

Should be compatible with both UNI, NL & OFB versions. and Syberspunks Less Autonomous College Assignment
81  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: WARNING: Cloned bookcases and portal deletion. on: 2006 January 17, 02:45:32
Ack! I just got this problem. I'm playing in the Uni hood (Nightlife is installed) and I have 3 students researching. I have the "portals have been deleted" message on my screen right now. Am I supposed to use the carpool fix found in the collections? I'm suddenly very confused. Damn bookcases.

If you get this problem and can reproduce it while testingcheatsenabled=true switch directly to windows and copy the file \My documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Logs\OETreeDelete.xls to another file name (or zip it) and post it on this thread. There should be something in there that indicates where the problem originated.

I assume this means they will only bathe autonomously on Sundays, but you can make them bathe/shower more often if you want to?

Yes that only refers to autonomous bathing.
i agree with myskaal ...
activeness mabye can reduce the cleaning wishes.. but this isn't mean
  "no activity = no neat"

and.. i hate the soap bubbules of the 100% neat person  Angry
i think that sould be used just when a sim have 100% of cleaning skill, don't you  Huh
I have met people, who are obsesively neat, yet hardly do any cleaning.
83  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 31, 19:08:48
Lemme get this straight.

EVERY TIME you juggle, the game randomly implodes one object?  Great, just great!  I realized that if the game is eating objects when you juggle, what if it randomly selects Pollination Technition and Mrs. Crumplebottom?  I can only imagine how big the fiery ball visible from space would be.  D'you think that that could even happen?  That could become as big a problem as the Love Potion 5.1 dissaperating sims.

It only deletes things from the lot. So if Mrs Crumplbottom is on the lot and gets zapped, the character data will remain intact. It only really becomes a problem when something that is hard to replace is zapped. Portals being one of those things.

where did you get that code. I can't find it in my object listing.

Re-colours are fine.
87  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 18, 21:25:05
You don't need portal fix 1 if you have the nightlife or university patch installed. You will need this fix to stop portal deletion from juggling. The portal monitor will let you know if a portal has been deleted, although with this fix installed it shouldn't happen.
88  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Easel Usage fix on: 2005 December 17, 20:46:28
It affects all easel usage.  I find it useful to know if a sim has started a painting elsewhere. Although once a painting is finished, you can start on another easel.

I haven't seen anything in your downloads that would have this problem. The link in the first post is to the original fix on MTS2 which, being pre-patch, is not on MATY.

If you want to post a link to something you think is a problem, I could check it for you.

Edit: Your readingskills packages have the problem.  I have attached the original portal fix for you to use in your code, although you should probably update the nightlife version with the new nightlife code.

Any portals. The problem is pre-patch and most cloned bookcases would not be affected,  only those with imported semi-globals.
91  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / WARNING: Cloned bookcases and portal deletion. on: 2005 December 16, 19:34:10
Portal deletion was fixed in the nightlife patch but any bookcase that was cloned before the Nightlife patch could potentially have this error. Most of them will not, but it does no harm to check.

How to check:
Open the suspect package file with Simpe and look for a BHAV called "Read - Loop Reading".

If you can not find this BHAV then there is no problem because the problem is fixed in the semi-globals.  This problem will only exists if the semi-global group was imported and the code was not repaired.

You should report your findings to the creator who should then update their code.

This is related to the problem http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=83684
92  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 16, 19:13:38
I was playing in windowed mode and stepped away from the game for a few minutes, and came back to find that a Sim was reading from a book that had been left out, and the portals were deleting like mad!  I have both this fix and the official NL patch installed.  Anyone else had a similar problem?  I think that I'm going to throw out these people's bookshelf.  Undecided

If that was a cloned bookshelf from somewhere, then it could contain the original error. You should inform the creator who should advise everyone that the problem exists.
93  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife graphics glitches? on: 2005 December 14, 02:19:31
I've only had NL a few weeks, and I've noticed some odd graphics glitchs.  I have an Athlon64 X2 4800+, dual Nvidia 7800 GTXs in SLI mode, and 2 GB RAM.  I just updated the Nvidia drivers this morning AND completely reinstalled the game, all EPs, the Holiday pack, and the NL patch.

I installed the new nvidia drivers a while back and got exactly the same problem.  It is the drivers. I installed an old version of the drivers and the problem was solved.

So much for maxis saying "update your drivers"

I Think the bug is in the "Group - Date - Accept/Reject?"

Line 20 (0x0014) should be

     0014 : 001A : 0103090000121F08000000000000 : 01 : 0015 : 001A

95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Yet another blank icon problem... on: 2005 December 13, 04:15:11
I have had this problem before, to the extent that now I enter the lot first before moving in a family, move something (Just to make the lot changed), save and go back to the neighbourhood.  Fixing the problem afterwards is more painful, because it tends to re-occur later.

The errorlogs would seem to indicate that the sim in question has an undeclared/invalid major. you could use simpe to correct this. Although you would have to move the family out of the house, seeing as the import did not work correctly.

V2 is more likely to get fighting, but not from sims in a good mood.

98  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 07, 14:40:04
Please confirm that it is juggling that is dangerous in itself, not cancelling juggling.  Yes I know that's what you said, but I was expecting it to be cancelling juggling and misread it the first 3 times through.  Others might too.

Is this right?

It is the cleanup code at the end of juggling that is faulty. Why would you think it was cancelling juggling? The word "Cancel" does not even appear in the first post.
This code is always run when juggling is finished.  The problem part of the code will run under certain conditions.
99  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 07, 01:26:39
The patch did fix the problem with the books. They changed the way that the thought and speach bubble objects were used so that nothing needed to be deleted.  The problem you initially had may have been this one. The book problem was more likely to delete portals because the values picked in error were usually very low (1 or 2 I think).  This one is more likely to cause a lot of different errors.
100  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Critical Fix: Juggling/Portal Fix 2 on: 2005 December 05, 03:53:13
Basically anything can be deleted. The two I have had so far are the car service portal and a toilet cleaning brush. I have no explanation as to what maxis was thinking with this code.
