1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2011 October 24, 21:45:25
I was using the TS3W application, and I seemed to be doing things well enough up until 1.26 happened.  That being said, I'm going to see if a nice reinstall might make it shape up.
Sars, I found that completely uninstalling every mod, redownloading AM and configuring it using the web-based configurer, and not using the AM-updating launcher works, and that using the launcher causes AM to break. Give it a test, report back with your findings.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2011 October 24, 09:06:24
I would double check your framework and/or redownload them.

I redownloaded the framework, and went into aweconfig to make sure the DisableCDCheck value was marked "True," and it's still not working.

Are you running the game from TS3W.exe? That really can be the only thing left other than you're doing it wrong.
I'm experiencing the same issue, and did just that. It does not work, either.

For clarity:
- I have no other mods - not just "no other core mods", but "no other mods at all, not even 'nointro'".
- The framework is installed correctly (not that there is much to install), and was re-done less than twenty minutes ago.
- AM is located in the /mods/packages/ folder in the EA folder in My Documents, and was redownloaded less than twenty minutes ago.
- AM's configuration file is in the same folder as AM. It was redownloaded less than twenty minutes ago.
- Attempted to load using the batch updater that checks whether AM is the most current file, and also does those other nifty things like fps limiting. No dice, demands the CD.
- Attempted to load from the non-launcher executable in the /bin/ fiolder. No dice, demands the CD.

Looks like sims with the daredevil trait can slide down the railing on the spiral staircase. I play daredevils so rarely that I don't remember if that was also possible with the regular staircase before.

ETA: It's actually all teenagers who can slide down, not related to traits, after all.
Childish adults can, as well.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Enabling Photography in Non-WA Games? on: 2010 October 07, 23:15:56
Er, Wyn, you DO know he HAS Ambitions installed, and it's WA that has the photography stuff, right?
I seem to have adopted Jelenedra's shtick.

In any case, "Ambitions" is to be read as "World Adventures" in my previous post. Thank you, Senator.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Enabling Photography in Non-WA Games? on: 2010 October 07, 22:21:40
If you are unwilling to install Ambitions, you are pretty much SOL. There are many, many modders with more knowledge than me kicking around here, but I'm sure that the code needed to properly support Photography is only in Ambitions.

This thread sucks, and is infinitely worse for me having added to it.

I am conflicted: On the one hand, my IQ higher than 4 permits me (alone, apparently) to understand what Claeric actually originally meant (and you people accuse me of not getting sarcasm?), but, on the other hand, god DAMN that latest post was retarded.
Maybe Claeric should date Hook.

No, not alone.

However, if Claeric is going to be a wad, he should probably make sure that he is, at least, a funny wad.

This is not funny.

Do agree with the drama-starter, however. Teenage pregnancy is something to be ashamed of, both for the father and the mother. The teenage pregnancy rate is so high because of abstinence-only education/social conservatism, selfishness or stupidity on the part of the father, or stupidity or neediness on the part of the mother. Think I've covered most of the bases there.

Stole my idea for apartments on Aggie's Plus lot, even if different in execution. Good work, too. *polite clap*

Will post when I develop sufficient ennui with my current project.

As per request, here is my entry:

-penislot-

I have all EPs and SPs except for Ikea.

Why yes, I'll not restrain myself from building on this. Why do you ask?

7 Deadly Sins Way, complete with the set of blue balls that Aggie gave me while I was waiting for her to upload something meaningful, only to see that abomination.

Now let us never speak of this again.

Those are some really tiny bollocks in comparison to the peen.
Maybe it's simply an extremely long and thick penis.

http://www.4shared.com/file/94619143/d06cc6e3/Fill_In_The_Blank.html

Flat edged lot, all EPs and SPs up to Seasons/Glamour Life.

Welcome to Jericho Lodge - a wonderful home for those well-to-do people wishing for a vacation in the mountains, or simply wanting to have a mini-vacation every day. For just over $130,000, this home can be yours. It has four bedrooms and one and a half baths. Any one of the bedrooms is capable of being turned into a home office, including the guest bedroom located next to the dining room. The majority of the house has been left relatively undecorated to permit the creativity and personality of the new owner shine forth.

Requires all EPs/SPs. MaryLou's extended "Independent Expressions" set from MTS2 is used, but items used are included in the lot.
Obtain the extended set: one, two, three, four.

Constructive criticism appreciated.

Wyn, I snagged a copy. I know just the sim to move into that particular lot, once I've got all the EPs. It's exactly the sort of place a family friend of ours would dream of living in.

I think that the house is substantially less awesome than it appears, but fly at 'er. Smiley If even one person likes it, it was worth the effort. I hope it requires very little remodelling. Also, I'd very much recommend SmarterLights from MTS2, by Numenor. It does wonderful things for this house, and even better - no conflicts with Pescado's AL Director's Cut.

I'm looking for something to do tomorrow night, so I hope someone uploads a non-"Death To Emma" foundation.
13  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 23, 10:14:15
I've built a house on the foundation that I posted. Please note that it was built and furnished with full EPs and SPs. I won't be remaking this one, however. It's not my best work, but I think that it's still presentable.

There is no CC present in this house, but it lacks 'decorative touches' such as sculpture or paintings.

Download Adelaide Manor

Constructive feedback is welcomed.
14  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 21, 20:25:21
Damn. I yoinked before reading it was made with all EPs. Any chance you're still interested in posting a Base Compatible version?
Base game version uploaded and linked in the Adelaide Manor post.

Yeah, sure. Should be up by this time the day after this post is made.
16  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 19, 08:10:58
I dunno, if decks are included, they gotta stay, but if they aren't, no matter.
I'll agree to that.

What combo of EP/sSPs have you built that in? It's worth mentioning that Anygamestarter is worth using to get a base game compatible foundation, that way anyone can play.
Ack, made with full EPs/SPs! Sorry if that causes any issues. Will obtain AGS and remake if it's a bother.
17  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 19, 03:24:08
Or, as has been suggested above, just post some foundations in this thread, no time limit.
Question: Does the definition of 'foundation' in this sense include decks?

I'm going to assume not, as I didn't include any. If it does, the image and the file will be altered appropriately.

Adelaide Manor - All EPs
Adelaide Manor - BG Only

I'd say more unusual than 'difficult', but it's a good start for me, and most likely will be a good warm-up for people who are more talented than I am.
18  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 18, 09:39:12
Or it can just be an ongoing thing...no time limits.

Makes sense to me. In any case, when this starts up, consider me in. Cheesy
19  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: foundation swap (idea, not actual contest) on: 2009 March 18, 08:42:20
I would think this would run better if it was like a smaller version of House of Phail. To start, CoEG would post a foundation, and we'd do the best we could with it. The 'best' one is selected by the participants, and that person makes a new foundation for everyone to build on.

A good timeframe would be one week to have all entries in. That way, newcomers can participate without having to wait up to a month before they can get started.
