These are not based on the ones by Numenor, BlueSoup or anyone else, they were all extracted and fixed by Argon (me), Lord Darcy (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=1039), and Havelock (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=899) so if I missed anything please let me know.

Notable Features:

-Fertility bed works the way it did in LS
-Bar updated to NL/OFB WITH lights
-Fixed some missing shadows
-Coffee machine has super coffee ala cannibalized Pescado conversion (ls supercoffee.package) otherwise it's just like normal coffee Now uses clone of coffee cup for the extra motive bonus
-Guitar plays with Atavera's custom instrument hack (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=138221) (ls quitarplay.package) use Instruments by proxy GUID (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12644.0.html) instead.
-Pool table builds games enthusiasm
-Pulls textures and models from the game files where possible
-All walls, floors, and roofs
-Collection to help find everything
-Venus sculpture and toybox fixed; many thanks to Havelock
-Furniture sounds and scratch fixed; many thanks to Lord Darcy
-LS lamp and painting downloads

How to install:

TS-LS_0x51f8c6c2.package  goes in "My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections"

ls closegrill.package                        All go in "My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads"
ls-floor-bathtile-3x3-turq.package
ls-floor-linoleum-pattern-11.package
ls-floor-linoleum-pattern-16.package
ls-UpdateEPx.package    [this is for subversion updates and may not always be available]

ls-buy.bundle.package          Both go in "%Program Files%\{The Sims 2 Expansion}\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins"
ls build.bundle.package

Or you can put them in the downloads folder as well, but they'll have a custom content star. I used the Store Edition folder so it isn't so useless.

Known issues (things I need help with)

Fertility bedding has a seam down the middle for single beds, I'll fix it later.

This is amazing, I always loved your perfect conversion of LS computer. Textures look so crisp and sharp, every piece of furniture usable by pets. You even updated that sleek LS bar, with neon lights enabled on front to boot! Wooot! :D

So far, the only object with missing FT function is Hot Tub, which can be easily updated by replacing TTAB and TTAs. And Bali/Shakely beds and leather sofa that small dogs and cats can't actually scratch.

Thanks for all your hard work, I wish I had the skillz to help you out with the known issues. :(

How does your conversion of "Supercoffee" differ from the existing Awesome edition?

So far, the only object with missing FT function is Hot Tub, which can be easily updated by replacing TTAB and TTAs. And Bali/Shakely beds and leather sofa that small dogs and cats can't actually scratch.
It's not quite THAT trivial. If you do that, your object will blow up when you put it in a non-FT game. I will fix it in the official Awesome edition. Also, tub is from PS, not LS.

And Bali/Shakely beds and leather sofa that small dogs and cats can't actually scratch.

Oops, any idea what's missing on them, like a slot or something? Do the other sofas work fine?

Here's the fix for the hot tub, once I have everything fixed I'll update the main package. Does anyone know of a freetime custom instuments hack? The guitar will play but without music enthusiasm.

How does your conversion of "Supercoffee" differ from the existing Awesome edition?

It doesn't, the only difference is in the main package it's set to push the normal coffee interaction. It's just an override for awesomeness. My original plan when I started this, back when BV had just come out, was to make a clone of the coffee cup and use that instead but I never got around to it.

It's not quite THAT trivial. If you do that, your object will blow up when you put it in a non-FT game. I will fix it in the official Awesome edition. Also, tub is from PS, not LS.

The original hot tub was from LS, a copy of it is also in PS just like the computer. There's an awesome version of the tub? Scratch that, PS has a different hot tub, this is the wooden sunken one; it's not purple.

I suspected something along the line, as Tinkering in dishwashers generated constant errors in pre-FT games. However, as Argon's version is intended for FT players, I thought that adding Tinkering would make no difference anyway.

And Bali/Shakely beds and leather sofa that small dogs and cats can't actually scratch.

Oops, any idea what's missing on them, like a slot or something? Do the other sofas work fine?

Some Maxis beds/sofas have the same problem. Even though chew/scratch function comes up in pie menu, small dogs and cats can't actually chew/scratch them. (Large dogs are not affected.) They just whine as if something is blocking their route.
EAxis forgot to add "allow intersection" tree in OBJfs for those objects in Pets. If you compare OBJfs of scratchable beds/sofas with those of LS furniture, you'll notice the difference.
There are 3 kinds of allow intersection BHAVs in bedglobals: double bed, expensive double bed and single bed. It seems that BHAV for expensive double bed works only for base game Colonial bed.

Other sofas work fine.

Numenor said it was on his to-do list (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?p=1968286#post1968286), but as he's apparently still busy with IKEA-updated CEP, it will probably take a looong time for him to get around to it, if he ever does.

"Naomi in Stone"
-Ground shadow and east wall in same mesh group
-Broken wall shadow on east wall (shows up when also against south?)

"Uncle Samuel's Box of Handcrafted Mystery"
-Wooden toys inside because UV map is wrong

Attached for Argon to use in his files:

"Naomi in Stone"
-Ground shadow and east wall in same mesh group
-Broken wall shadow on east wall (shows up when also against south?)
Both caused because they made the groundshadow and the eastwallshadow one piece and named it eastwallshadow. Now separated, proper named and updated gmnd and Shape. Also fixed UV issue with east- and westwallshadow.

"Uncle Samuel's Box of Handcrafted Mystery"
-Wooden toys inside because UV map is wrong

Wooden toys are result of laziness or lack of time, the toys are mapped over the whole Toyboxtexture.
And uv mapping prozess was not finished. Resulting in brokeness.
I have exported the toys of the basegame toybox and replaced them. Shape is updated to pull toytexture from Basegame Toybox. Also finished the cutouts on the sides of the box. Look at the difference in Game and use if you like.

Edit: Attachment removed. Fix is now included in the package.

Argon's version is superior to any other versions available in Yahoo group. Everything comes in unadulterated form straight from Life Stories, and nearly all object functions were updated to FreeTime. (Numenorian version has pixelated, degraded textures, and BlueSoup edition is not updated to FreeTime.) Walls and floors in Argon's version have the original, proper TGI, not the mangled CC-like one found in other versions.

It's very trivial but nonetheless one of my personal pet peeves, like wrong footstep sounds on skins.

lol and here I was about to post the update  :P just a few more minutes while I repack everything then. Are there any other fixes that need to be done while I'm at it?

I've already got the baliwood/shakey beds, fertility bed, leather sofa, Havelock's toybox and venus statue, hot tub, and now the furniture sounds. Oh and how much do I need to beg for more decorative slots Lord Darcy?  ;D

Are there any other fixes that need to be done while I'm at it?

1. The missing "Ground Coffee" FX, which can be found only in base game coffeemaker.
(Yes, I'm picky about these little things...  :D)

As the mesh of LS coffeemaker is very similar to base game coffeemaker, I think this FX can be added without sticking out of funnel.

2. Like many post-OFB Maxis objects, the quantity per OFB shelf is not quite right in some objects.

Teddy Bear, Tiki Light, Moebius Sculpture - should be 1 (2 per shelf)
Plastic Plant - should be 0 (1 per shelf)

3. Numenorian BBQ has the function to close lid. I thought this interaction exists in Life Stories, but apparently it does not. Can it be integrated into the grill? I'm fond of this little feature. There is a mod (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=277875) that extends this feature to Maxis grills, which was made by resources extracted from Numenorian LS BBQ.

Oh and how much do I need to beg for more decorative slots Lord Darcy?  ;D

I'm already working on 2 Baliwood coffeetables and 2 dressers. LS end tables with a decorative slot are uploaded here (http://www.mediafire.com/?2myddzolbjn), from which you can yoink edited CRES, SLOT and Text List (Model - Bones).

1. The missing "Ground Coffee" FX, which can be found only in base game coffeemaker.

I don't think I'd know how to do this  :-[ would Havelock? *nudge nudge*

2. Like many post-OFB Maxis objects, the quantity per OFB shelf is not quite right in some objects.

That's my fault actually, anyway it's fixed now.

3. Numenorian BBQ has the function to close lid. I thought this interaction exists in Life Stories, but apparently it does not. Can it be integrated into the grill? I'm fond of this little feature. Done, optional ls closegrill.package added

Also I don't plan to integrate the decorative slots, for those purists out there. I just thought those baliwood tables were screaming for it hehe.

The base game coffeemaker has a block in its CRES which is used for "ground coffee" FX. You have to add this block and link it as a child node.

I attached the FX fix. The FX fits like a glove. :D

I agree. It's better to keep the main package as faithful to the original as possible. They can be offered as an optional download.

Attached the decorative slot mod for LS furniture. (End tables, coffee tables, dressers and fridge)
Added a decorative slot in the center of 2-tiled coffee tables. (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/Themes/babylon/images/english/new.gif)

Argon, this is awesome work. I really can't wait for it to be finalized.  :)

One stupid question: I already have this stuff in my game from previous downloads, and I've used it extensively in my neighborhood. Will this file just take the place of my previous LS stuff, or am I going to have to refurnish/decorate?

And a less stupid query. Some of the walls and floors were really bizarre/didn't fit in with my tastes (some of those patterned carpets come to mind). I remember using Clean Installer to disable stuff I didn't like, and then simply deleting the .OFF files. I don't mind redoing the work, but CI will disable the whole thing, and I am guessing that deleting in-game will delete the entire bundled file. Will I have to use SimPE to remove items I don't want? If so, any suggestions for going about it? (I already opened it in SimPE just to see, and the sheer length of the list was a little overwhelming.)

Objects will stay, but walls and floors will not. Objects are recognized by their GUIDs, whereas walls and floors are by their TGIs.

I am guessing that deleting in-game will delete the entire bundled file.
Yes, it will.

Will I have to use SimPE to remove items I don't want? If so, any suggestions for going about it?
Rather than messing with the LS package itself, which can be updated in future, I suggest that you make your own personal hider like Ambular's Maxis fug hider (http://ambular.djssims.com/index.php?category=4&subcat=11).

Lord Darcy, on your LS Deco Slot Mod; since the file has the "z" prefix...can you place it in the Downloads folder, or is it better to put it in the Program Files/(Latest EP)/TSData/Res/Overrides folder?

Downloads folder. The z prefix is there for the people who put LS package into Downloads folder, so that this fix is loaded after LS package.

My fertility bed shows the blue "bedding" (missing image) in the buy catalogue.  I'm assuming I'm the only one with this since no one seems to have reported it.  Any idea how I can fix this or what's causing it?
Also, is it the not-updated-to-FT custom instrument hack that's causing the error message when I buy the guitar?  My sims can't do anything with it once it's bought.

-Wall shadows (only seen with "always up" wall option) sink into walls for some objects

For Argon: Have attached some fixed GMDCs for  Bali and Shakely Furniture.

Atavera's hack conflicts with Pescado's tipping fix, that's probably what's causing the errors.

I would also like the report the strangeness of the guitar. It doesn't come with an amp and it just lays on the floor. I can click on it but of course the sims can't do anything with it sans amp.

What EPs do you have? I had that happen originally when the object initialized incorrectly, but I'm pretty sure you need University or Seasons for the guitar to work. If not that, I'm guessing you have a hack conflict somewhere... maybe an older version of the guitar?

Also, working on the update as we speak.

Life Stories CEP now in progress, but until it's done recolors for objects that weren't recolorable won't work.

Umm.. I don't use recolors but I'm guessing through SimPE's object workshop.

Color me a bit confused -- so your ls_buy.package has ALL the LS objects you've converted in one package, rather than in individual packages like Pescado's (and others)?  If it's not all of them, is there a list somewhere of which it does contain, so I know which older packages are replaced?

AFAIK, the only thing that doesn't exist in Argon's version is GiftBox from Numenorian version, which I think isn't a buy mode/reward object in the first place. Probably an accessory object.

Havelock found and finished the hidden LS reward painting (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,9258.0.html) which EAxis recycled as an exclusive LS download (http://sims.yahoo.com/downloads/lifestories;_ylt=AiBByGj4EthqYUD9.JYe9DyEvMsh).

One stupid question: I already have this stuff in my game from previous downloads, and I've used it extensively in my neighborhood. Will this file just take the place of my previous LS stuff, or am I going to have to refurnish/decorate?
Objects will stay, but walls and floors will not. Objects are recognized by their GUIDs, whereas walls and floors are by their TGIs.

Thanks for clarifying. My current LS stuff is in Downloads, so I think I'll try loading the build bundle in the Category Bin, and then go through my occupied & community lots to replace walls & floors with Argon's version. If that doesn't work, I'll just re-do it. Sometimes it's good to do a forced redecorating. EDIT: for anyone else in the same boat, this method worked fine.

Quote from: Lord Darcy
I am guessing that deleting in-game will delete the entire bundled file.
Yes, it will.

Will I have to use SimPE to remove items I don't want? If so, any suggestions for going about it?
Rather than messing with the LS package itself, which can be updated in future, I suggest that you make your own personal hider like Ambular's Maxis fug hider (http://ambular.djssims.com/index.php?category=4&subcat=11).

My main reason for weeding through was to keep my size of loading MBs down, so to speak, with the added benefit of a slightly smaller catalog. However, in comparison it's only about 10MBs difference, which is a drop in the bucket. :) So if my catalog feels too huge again, I'll try putting together a hider. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: I just wanted to repeat Lord Darcy's praise of Argon's work over previously available versions of the LS stuff. I have gone through a number of lots replacing the old versions of the walls & floors with Argon's, and the proof is in the pudding. Old version on the left, Argon's on the right. (Click pics to see the details, and sorry for my messy arrows!)

I could have sworn I saw that painting in my game before I started dumping objects, that's why I didn't include it. So it's not just a recycled Maxis object? Also, I've got the lamp, I just need to assign a group to it. It might take a while for me to update again, at least until I get my school books and loan processed  :P

Oh ok good, I thought it was CRES error. Since the wall shadow is working, the model just needed to be pushed further out from the wall.

The ls closegrill.package allows you to tell your Sim to close the lid after he used the bbq without the hack the lid stays open forever like on all other EAxis made bbqs.

Post by: Lord Darcy on 2008 August 12, 15:58:35
Life Stories CEP

LS Objects Recolors by Numenor & MaryLou, modified to be compatible with Argon's version (http://www.mediafire.com/?d0im0o1glxs)

Put LS CEP in the same folder as ls-buy.bundle.package, whether in Downloads, Bins or Store folder. LS CEP must be loaded after ls-buy.bundle.package. (Hence the z prefix in the filename.)
If you put ls-buy.bundle.package into Bins or Store folder, but put LS CEP in your Downloads folder, the default colors of LS objects which were made recolorable by LS CEP will bear custom star.

To make new recolors of LS objects in SimPE, you have to load ls-buy.bundle.package and LS CEP into SimPE. Make sure that LS CEP is loaded after ls-buy.bundle.package, as shown below.

Known issue: The recolors of Reward Leather Sofa are somewhat wonky. Because the two recolorable subsets of reward sofa (cushion and frame) share one TXMT, both MMATs will be created with the same family GUID by default. Even if you fix the GUID manually, applying recolors with the design tool is a bit wonky, i.e. another recolor being automatically selected. But once selected, recolors will stay selected, so it's not really a show-stopper. Just a bit inconvenient. Resolved in the new version.

2008-09-13: Fixed the issue with wonky Reward Leather Sofa recolors. New recolors will be created properly, each subset having its own TXMT. (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/Themes/babylon/images/english/new.gif)

@Havelock: I remembered that you made a recolorable version of LS coffeemaker (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,10123.0.html) last year, along with a couple of recolors.
Would you please convert dark grey color (the default color in your version) as a separate recolor package? ;D

I have made it short after Argon provided the Buy.bundle. I have added both recolors in a zip so all could get them.

Is the LS guitar included in this bundle? Do I need to kill it with fire in SimPE?

Because after determining that it was either Atavera's custom instruments of awesome or the LS mediocre guitar,  I pulled ls_guitarplay and your instruments by proxy GUID hack. Now, no one can dance while someone is playing the base game piano without freezing and then resetting both player and dancer. No error log is generated. Dancing to music and dance animations seem fine.
When trying to delete the guitar in game, with no instruments at all on the lot, I get this:

What do I need to do to make this guitar GTFO?

Yes it's included, you can either make your own hider or ignore it. No globals are modified in the LS bundle, so whatever is causing your problems, it's not the guitar.

after determining that it was either Atavera's custom instruments of awesome or the LS mediocre guitar,  I pulled ls_guitarplay and your instruments by proxy GUID hack.

Atavera's hack has not been updated for Freetime, so it's highly like there will be a BFBVFS with instruments since they added some with this EP. Not all the required references to the instruments in the instrument globals and band controller were changed by Atavera, I'm just guessing he stopped when it looked like it was working.

ETA: ls_guitarplay is meant for Atavera's hack, not mine. Do not mix and match. RTFM on page 1.

Now, no one can dance while someone is playing the base game piano without freezing and then resetting both player and dancer. No error log is generated. Dancing to music and dance animations seem fine.

Most likely culprit is tight pants or hack conflict, it works fine for me.

When trying to delete the guitar in game, with no instruments at all on the lot, I get this:

image snipped

What do I need to do to make this guitar GTFO?

You're using a LS object on the lot and you can't get delete it because everything is in one file.

Side note: the reason other custom instruments blow up with instrument by proxy guid hack is likely because the init bhav makes reference to a non-existant bcon ("custom instrument" category) in Atavera's hack or because they changed the reference to the original EAxis instrument that it was cloned from. If you absolutely can't live without an instrument, I can see about updating it to work with that.

Ah-- thank you very much, Argon.

Very good to know that it's working in your game, because I can sniff elsewhere now. In fact, being that the hack itself hasn't been updated for Freetime, and they added that synthesizer, it only makes sense that the code has changed. It's odd that it is only the base-game piano and any of Atavera's instruments. I'll load up my test hood later with just Atavera's hack and see if the base game piano is still resetting. I wouldn't be surprised if it is simply that.

They change the code on the base-game piano with every patch, and I know this was working with patch one-- so I immediately suspected the LS guitar because it was the only thing I'd added recently.

ETA: ls_guitarplay is meant for Atavera's hack, not mine. Do not mix and match. RTFM on page 1.
Well, I'm embarrassed enough as it is, but I will say that I mentioned in a different post that I did RTFM. (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12644.0.html) But being less stupid than I seem is hardly consoling.

It's just the acoustic guitar and the contrabass. The rest are for guitar virtuosos, but anyone who wants music in a hood set in the past has to stick with the violin-- before we didn't even have that. I don't want to give you any more work than I already have, though.

I'll report back in this post the results of my test with nothing but Atavera's hack and the base game piano.

ETA: Either my core files are corrupted,  or Atavera's custom instrument hack causes dancing to stop working on the base-game piano in Patch three, Freetime. Little to no chance that anyone noticed but me.  :D

Attached AL update for LS stereo and TV. It must be loaded after ls-buy.bundle.package.
Contains only some new or updated BCONs/BHAVs, as AL added no new visible functions to TVs and stereos.

Elders can watch LS TV while lounging on the sofa. It's actually an EAxian bug which affects all 2-tiled TVs, because EAxis forgot to enable "Watch - Sofa Subqueue" for Elders in TTAB. You can reuse TTAB included in my AL update to fix your main FT package, as AL did not change anything in TV TTAB.

While writing the guide to update custom bars to OFB (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,11264.msg335209.html#msg335209), I stupidly forgot to reassign the slot id for one side of bar, resulting in wonky animation. If I put the LS buy package in the ...Apartment Life/TS Data/Res/Bins folder and put your update (I'm assuming) into my downloads folder, how do I make sure it loads after the ls bundle package?  I'm assuming (yet again) that the items included in the program files are loaded first, and then the stuff in the documents folder is loaded?  If that's the case, then I'm probably okay.  If that's not the case, then should I add a "z" to the name of your fix?

I just unzipped the files and noticed you already have your files labeled with a "z".  Ignore the stupidity, please.   :-[

That is correct. Stuff in Downloads folder is loaded the last. If you put LS buy package in Bins, you can put AL update (or Argon's LS optional like closegrill) in Downloads folder. The z prefix is only there for people who put LS package in Downloads folder.

Sorry I've been so late it getting around to updating this. I've been working on cleaning out the junk files, apparently some University textures that are in LS got copied over to the build package. Quite a few meshes and unused textures in the buy mode stuff too.

Things to look forward to: more linked textures, lights, meshes, missing mesh group and texture on the espresso machine fixed, lightened shadows on the baliwood sofas, and non-global solution for the coffee machine motive bonus (also adjusted to account for the motive bar difference between the real game and LS; less cheaty!).

If Havelock's around, the bar has an unused mesh group.

If Havelock's around, the bar has an unused mesh group.

I have two versions for you. Rewardbar has only removed unused mesh group and Rewardbar_insideshadow has now restored the shadows caused by bottles and glasses, use the one you like most.

Edit: Argon sims put coffee cup on coffee tables or endtables after drinking is finished no longer in dishwasher.

Edit2: removed attachment

Oops that was an oversight on my part, I forgot about Pescado's coffeecuphack. Also I'll probably use the inside shadow one if that's how the rest of the bars are.

Here's the fix for now, I'll probably integrate it with the next update, I've just got a class in a few minutes.

Thanks for fixing various issues, including the one about unstable Reward Sofa recolors. I updated LS CEP to reflect the change.

LS CEP is posted in this post (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12631.msg361392.html#msg361392).

Also I'll probably use the inside shadow one if that's how the rest of the bars are.

The base Game Bars have a shadow inside the Bar and some EP Bars also but not all of them because EAxis got lazy sometimes. And i have attached a better one in my previous post.

Restored the broken state FX for LS reward TV. Adjusted the FX slot height to make smoke and spark come out of TV outlet on the back panel.

Amber, if you looky here (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12644.0.html) you'll see that Argon's Instruments by Proxy GUID can be used with Atavera's instruments, which are all posted in the same thread (some updated by me, some Argon). I'd gladly update and share any additional custom instruments you have, just so I can hoard them as well!  ;D

Edit: Because my keyboard has approximately 20 fully working keys.

I'm not supporting it anymore since Atavera's hack hasn't been updated and the violin and synth from Freetime are broken if you use Atavera's hack.

If you really want it, you can grab it from LS Argon Optional2.7z (http://www.mediafire.com/file/cneqvegq7iz/LS Argon Optional2.7z)

Thank you for putting all of this together, the quality is much improved over the first extractions.

The leather reward sofa is giving me a few problems which, hopefully, someone can help me resolve. First, the black frame flashes blue - I can occasionally get the frame to show black but I can't move it from that spot or the flashing returns. The second problem is the frame is not able to be recolored - I noticed when the subset section screen cam up there was only an option shown in the cushion subset; the frame subset was empty.

I thought my problem may have been the result of a conflict but the above problems remain when the ls buy bundle and the ls CEP are the only CC in my game folders.

Side note: One thing I found odd was the sofa recolor found in the LS Objects Recolors by Numenor & MaryLou, modified to be compatible with Argon's version download shows both recolored parts of the sofa.  ???

After further exploration, it seems that the LS CEP may be the problem Without the CEP installed the sofa frame is black but then, of course, the recolor is not available. Am I the only one having this problem? I have the 09-13-08 CEP installed.

LS Reward Sofa works fine for me, with the newest LS CEP installed. Recolors work fine too, including Numenorian recolor.
* Do you have the newest version of LS Buy package too?
* Do you still have this problem even after you sell and rebuy the LS sofa? Argon newly created the TXMT of frame subset to make two subsets fully recolorable.
* Are you sure the loading order is correct? Is LS CEP in the same folder as LS Buy bundle?

As for the problem of empty subset in SimPE, it happens when the loading order is wrong. Check the loading order in SimPE preferences. The file in the first line is loaded the last.

Thank you, but I have something to mention:

1. The recolor of LS Reward AfricanMask (the blue one) doesn't show up in my game.

2. And the AfricanMask as well as the LS Lamp Download has the asterisk of shame for me even I put all the necessary packages in the bin folder. (And I double check that I don't have a duplicate in my download folder.)

3. Also the price of the AfricanMask is weird, I looked in simpe and there it costs §8350 but ingame it only costs §850.

4. I think the reward rose is too expensive (§950). Numenor made his version only costs §40.

The African Mask has no problem in my game.

No asterisk in default color, it only shows up at Numenorian recolor which I put in Downloads. Price is correct too.
Turn debug mode on and check the popup tooltip on African Mask icon. The subset should be rewardafricanmask_rewardafricanmask. If it's something else, you definitely have another version lurking in somewhere.

4. I think the reward rose is too expensive (§950). Numenor made his version only costs §40.
The price of reward rose is the same as the original reward point in LS. Argon made his conversion as faithful to the original as possible. Pescado's PS conversion stove is similarly overpriced, topping 20000 Simoleons.

You may have Devilsrope CS African Mask (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,11872.0.html), it is actually the same mask but with change of price. LS costs §8350 and displays "Environment" 1, CS costs §850 and displays "Environment" 8. Both have the same GUID, so CS is repalcing LS. I had the same problem but I assigned a new GUID to CS mask and used repository technique. If you want I might share my version.

Mmm I don't know if I want a ceaper copy of the mask. What are the differences between them except for the environment-thing?

4. I think the reward rose is too expensive (§950). Numenor made his version only costs §40.

I thought about the price and I think, although it is really unrealistic high, most of my Sims have a lot money that they can't spend.

Here are the differences:
• Price (CS costs §850, LS costs §8350).
• Environment score (CS displays 8, LS displays 1).
• Description and name (almost the same, you may not even notice).

1. The recolor of LS Reward AfricanMask (the blue one) doesn't show up in my game.

Also, having both CS and LS masks is the reason why the recolor doesn't show up. As CS is replacing LS, the recolor is made for LS not CS.

Don't you use Clean Installer? You don't end up with garbled duplicates if you use Clean Installer. If I were you, I'd delete everything with garbled filename, just for principle. If I don't know what the hell it is, then it cannot be what I wanted in the first place.

I apologize in advance if I am putting this in the wrong place, but I have a question and wasn't sure where it should go.  First of all, thank you for making these wonderful Life Stories objects EP-compatible and also for doing such a good job with them.  They work fine in my game, and I love the fact that they don't have a custom star, which is as it should be, since they are Maxis-made originally.

However, I've been trying to add the recolors and the CEP to my game, but no matter where I put them they won't show up.  I read the whole thread, and first put the objects and the CEP together in the same folder in the bins section of the Freetime folder.  Then I put the recolours also in the same folder.  This didn't work, so I tried moving the recolors to the Downloads folder.   Then I tried moving the CEP to the downloads folder, after that didn't work.  I moved the CEP back to the bins folder, and then tried the recolors in another bins folder -- still didn't work.

I've now tried both the recolors and a second copy of the CEP in a variety of different places, and no matter what I do I can't get them to show up.  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what I should do next?  Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.

Thank you Havelock.  I assume you're referring to this comment:

"Put LS CEP in the same folder as ls-buy.bundle.package, whether in Downloads, Bins or Store folder. LS CEP must be loaded after ls-buy.bundle.package. (Hence the z prefix in the filename.)"

But that's the very first thing I tried, with no success.  I assure you that I read the whole thread very carefully, and especially that particular post.   The CEP is in the same folder with the ls-buy.bundle.package.  Now, it is also in its own folder (called "LS CEP").  Could that be the problem?  Should the CEP not be in a folder but be loose with the bundle package?

If that's not the problem, then I have no idea what I am doing wrong, since I followed Lord Darcy's instructions carefully.

Try applying the design tool. If you don't get "This object is not designable" message on LS reward objects, LS CEP is working.

Note that LS CEP was expressly made for Argon's version. Any recolors you might have made or downloaded for Numenorian version will not work. You'll need to fix recolors yourself. I uploaded the fixed Numenorian recolors in that post.

Also make sure that you don't have any duplicates lurking in your Downloads folder.

Looking over the history of this stuff, I can't help but notice you appear to have reduplicated and then wrestled with the LS Riley Coffeemaker, mentioning something about the missing coffee grounds...except that the Awesome version has always worked. What exactly does this new version offer that makes it better? Because if it doesn't offer the actual super-coffee effect, it's basically worthless and reduced to a restrung recolor of the original base game crap coffee. If you've already done everything better, then I will simply discontinue the existing version, and if you haven't...why are you bothering to produce shoddy merchandise to be peddled off as "proper"?

There should, obviously, be a single, unified, superior version, whoever produces it. As the rule here goes: There can be only one.

The coffee effect (appears inside the drawer thing, seen in Darcy's screenshot) does not show up on your version Pescado. There's a similar thing with your espresso machine (but it's the result of a missing reference to a material definition).

I haven't made this set backwards compatible with any other EPs, so it's not officially awesome according to your specifications.

Now, it is also in its own folder (called "LS CEP").  Could that be the problem?  Should the CEP not be in a folder but be loose with the bundle package?

That might be it. I have it loose in mine, and it works perfectly.

Yes, in fact that *was* the problem I think. I guess I was trying to be too organized for my own good. ;D  I tried removing the CEP from its subfolder and just putting it in with the rest of the recolours, and now the recolours work perfectly.

Thanks again to everyone who converted the LS objects, making them compatible with all EPs.  They are very nice to have.  And thanks for the extra advice.
