Or Pescado some who direct download are disabled veterans.

Also I am going to be testing a theory out.  People who have Dells like myself, Dell has piss poor fans which I did not know about until recently. I am going to be throwing in new fans.  And, also see if that is cause of crash.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 June 16, 05:01:59
Very true Pescado.  For people who do direct download will just have to keep installing and uninstalling.

Jeromy try Delphy's Dashboard and scan your Packages.

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=387006

I find that if CC is corrupted it can lead to crashes.

I have also done something I did not want to do, but I did do it.  Uninstall the EADM.  No more crashes for me.

Pescado crack open the EADM it is one of several reasons for desktop crashes.

You are quick and fast Rothschild; Thanks.

Glad to hear you are using CFF it was the only program I could find which almost stopped all DEP crashes.  EA just found out and are trying to fix ASAP.  Since many many customers are complaining it is the only game which crashes.  The most bought Windows 7 is 64 bit and EA is clueless.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 May 14, 06:49:19
I got this DEP issue on priority list along with inventory.  I was on EA chat with Gavin and Microsoft for 3 hours.  I even threatened to hack SIMS 3 to make it compatible to Win 7 64 Bit.  You need to hack game to make it compatible.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 May 12, 09:01:21
Developers are currently working on a new patch.  This will solve DEP Problems.  One thing which is in common with crashes is inventory limit.  EA will be adding a limit to how much can be in inventory.  Also the DEP is crashing with Windows 32 and 64.
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 May 02, 19:22:42
Pescado there is only one way to solve this crash problem.  Can you create a program to make Windows 7 compatible to SIMS 3?
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 20, 01:46:28
Eyme it is not AM causing the crash it is the game itself.  I played every EA Game and ONLY SIMS 3 crashes.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 18, 23:20:34
Eyme you have 4GB you should not experience a crash it is those with over 4GB of memory.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 13, 07:59:10
Claeric all you have to do is use it on the ts3sp01.exe do not use game launcher .exe
 Grin

And do not click anything else but the 2GB.  And, save.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 12, 17:26:15
Mel try using  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff\Game\Bin\TS3SP01.exe" and create a shortcut.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 07, 00:16:37
http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php

1) Download and install CFF Explorer (http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php)

2) Run the program, click the folder icon or go to FILE >> OPEN and browse your PC for the Sims 3 exe (TS3.exe) usually found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

Make a backup of your original exe just incase something goes wrong.

3) Click on File Header at the left, find characteristics at the right and click the "Click here" blue button.

4) Tick "App can handle >2GB address space

5) Ok that and save by clicking the disk icon or going to FILE >> SAVE. Overwrite the file when it asks you to.

This fixed the problem of me crashing.  Thanks to Gohan2091 from Mod the Sims on spotting the problem.

Those crashing I was on countless hours with customer support from Nvidia and EA.  We made sure I have no more crashes.  With SIMS 3 it was a combinition of Windows 7 64 bit and the Nvidia GeForce card drivers.  There is a new update for Nvidia drivers so update. No more problems.  It was a fan problem which caused SIMS 3 to crash.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 04, 21:52:51
Pescado it does happen even without mods.  And, has been reported several times throughout EA Forums.

Cause is Windows 7 64 bit.

Mina let me guess you have Windows 7 64 bit.

You people have forgotten SIMs 2 base game so quickly.  Majority of the EPs were already in base game it is the expansions which activate them.  With Wanton which JB found would be used for a Nightlife Expansion.  Weather Season Expansion.  Adventure Bon Voyage.  Found Pets for a Pet Expansion.  SIMs makes expansions because they do not want a base game running  $150.  Clothes and Objects only Packs are last minute additions which are not planned out.  And, there maybe a SIMs 4 around the corner if Expansions are a failure.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.3 Released on: 2009 July 30, 00:40:32
Kerryee except you left out one thing.  Pescado can always dish out anything better than what EA gives out.  Always get the EA patches less work for Pescado.  But, on most cases more work.  But, Pescado can dish out a fix in 24 hours of a patch.  Wonders if Pescado works for EA.  That patch was close to an exact duplicate of Awesome Mod and coincidence just weeks after the Awesome/IndieStone Mod.  There is no coincidence there is The Force.

Pescado could eat EA developers alive.  Without Pescado, SIMs communities would be boring.

More things, like sims having affairs and fights, ect used to happen more in my game of sims 2 apartment life...........  I played this game to death  ( Sims 3 ) for a few weeks but with nothing happening, other sims not not upgrading furniture, or even buying new stuff for their homes, I have got fed up with the game, AwsomeMod makes it a lot better, although I miss the memorys and other stuff, like attaction and having a crush on a sim.  I think, the first pack EA produce should be a gameplay pack where there are more things going on, rather than having the player, seeming to interact with zombies.

I had WWF in my neighborhood in SIMs 2 there were non-stop fighting.  With families when they had a baby *poof* instant cribs and beds.  And, lots of furniture.  EA really needs to fix this game up badly.  And, I do not think a patch will do it.  It will need to be one large expansion pack.  Memories actually caused the lag in SIMs 2 and I for one do not miss it.

And, Moondance your neighborhood sounds like Zombie Valley or Zombieview.  Boring.
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 16, 08:06:47
I been playing since day 1.  And, I seen homeless sims move in.  Then they bounce around.  I was playing with the Keaton family and they totally disappeared and became homeless.  This is not new and I do not think Pescado even messed with something which is hard-coded in the core.  And, you need to play for much longer to see them actually start playing musical houses.  After 72 hours of straight game play prepare for non-stop musical houses and homeless sims to extra roommates and a huge baby boom.   Awesome mod is not even involved.   Try every neighbor with 3-5 kids and sometimes both parents do not even live with the baby.  It is the longer you play the more bouncing around you will encounter.

22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Story Mode on: 2009 July 16, 05:41:54
Moondance we are onto something.  You make it even more logical.  That it was when they found they have Zombie Sims reading Rambo Part XXXVIII The Rambundo.  So Story Progression was made for all those who read Rambundo to become a John Simbo.

And, you hit it right on, that is exactly what it is a random event generator.  OOooooo Ahhhhh I'm a mental retard who loves Story Progression since it generates a stupid moronic event.  And, EA knows you loves SIMs you will buy SIMs 3 and has a random event generator which was made by a mentally retarded EA Staff Member.
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 16, 05:31:58
You can't it is EA Coding.  Even if you play the game with no mods you always swap houses.  Reason 18376445 why EA sucks.
24  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Story Mode on: 2009 July 15, 23:07:05
Well said Cherita, I totally agree.  With Story Progression EA just did not take there time with it.  I believe it was Story Progression and not marketing which is why they pushed back the date.  EA I think did a rush job on story progression.  And, it will take hackers like Indie and Pescado to completely fix it.
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Story Mode on: 2009 July 15, 22:47:02
But yeah, like I said, I think Pescado will produce and he's amiable to cooperating, which of course is totally dependent on other parties doing the same.

All he needs to do is what he dislikes and does not want to produce.  Take for instance Teen/Adult he needed to do it.  Doubted I know many did not like it.  But, he did it to keep many of the community happy.  I can tell there will be many more things coming from Awesome Mod which Pescado dislikes and does not want to do.  But, in the end all the community members will be happy and Awesome Mod will truly be awesome.
