Nice door ship you have there.

Oooh, Starbug! *runs off to watch some Red Dwarf episodes*
127  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2008 September 22, 12:44:44
My sims harvest the produce but the plant does not disappear right away like it used to - it stays there for 3 or 4 real minutes. The sims think that there is still something to harvest & Macrotastics >> Garden goes nuts - the sims just spins back & forth until i cancel the garden icon & wait for the plants disappear. It's like the game is being notified to delete the plant, but the delete action is not happening right away. You can still click on the plant after it has been harvested & choose to harvest it, but then that just drops out of the cue - so the game "knows" it has been harvested, but the plant is still there :/

I have the same problem with the macro - harvest plants.

...but kept all custom content and hacks to put back into my game in a more organized fashion.  I have all the expansion paks and a few of the earlier stuff paks.
 I stand in awe..

Um, does that mean you kept the old cc in your downloads folder? You do know you have to update old hacks, right? Or did you happen to use the moveobjects on cheat and simply forgot to reset it?
129  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: September on: 2008 September 02, 10:04:05
This house is one of my favourites to convert, I too enjoy the colonial/victorian style of it. This is gonna be fun! Smiley

@Quinctia: The house looks really cute! I would'nt have chosen that combination of windows though, seems a bit messy. The backyard looks great, and it was smart to move the stairs to the back. That small walkway in the back with the greenhouse walls are a great touch. Might steal that feature for myself ;P

I have to say you did a really good job on this one! *snatch* It'll be perfect for my selfsim and her family. Wink

Tasha, where did you find such nice looking potions? Are they customs or default replacements?

I think they're from Parsimonious. They are remakes of the love potion, anti-vampire potion etc. The ones the gypsy sells.
132  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: The One Shiny: Autonomy Control on: 2008 August 24, 15:45:09
I'm starting to think I must have missed something here. I've played 5 or 6 different sim playable lots these last couple of days (after installing this mod) and apparently they keep resetting. The sims stand in one place and resets all the time. No autonomy at all. And by the way, read in a dictionary that exemption and proscription means liberate and ban. Am I right in thinking that proscription therefore means the sim can't do the action autonomously while exemption means the opposite?
*confused*
Anyway, I took out all hacks except Awesomeware, which is up to date. Am I supposed to take out some other awsome hack?

Wow, it looks great! I especially like the hot tub in the courtyard. Gotta snag this one. Wink
134  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.4A on: 2008 August 17, 10:56:27
Great, I'll try this new version and see how it looks. I'll let you know how it works out. Yay!

Edit: Expelled stupid sentence.
135  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: August on: 2008 August 15, 17:04:39
Ok, I've done another house. This one is inspired by the Open for Business color scheme. That is, a good house for Barbie.  Wink
Again, I have all stuffpacks and expansions plus the house is cleaned with clean installer.

Upstairs bathroom:

Second floor layout:

Basement, featuring a sauna, third bathroom, jacuzzi and indoor pool.

@jim: That would make a really great community lot! (I never do home businesses;P)

@Emma: I really like you're color schemes. I never even thought of the fact that you can put some of the hobby deco on the floor. Nice touch!

@Chaavik: That house would look great in my Strangetown.  Smiley
137  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: August on: 2008 August 11, 11:28:03
Tingeling, I like your lot. The only routing problem I foresee is the sims trekking through the kitchen to get to upstairs. The outside is lovely and I like the way you have the sloping roofs at the side.

Yeah, that could be a problem. I hadn't thought of it when I was building. Thanks for the tip, I think I'll try making another one.  Smiley

I really like your bold decor, the way hot reds and oranges energise the whole house. Yours is the first basement I've really liked - the grownups must feel like YAs again in their own chill zone.

I've had three serious attempts at this house, all awful, so I now really, really hate this house.   This house is dead for me now, but it's fascinating to see how people produce completely different solutions to the same problem.

Hehe, I thought this was gonna be a great house for a legacy family, seeing as both upstairs and cellar is expandable. And I get what you say about some houses not sparking any inspiration. That was what happened to me when I tried rebuilding the house from last month.

Wow, loving that red color! A house of passion? Kiss
It can be whatever you want it to be. I just wanted a really red house for the modern part of my 'hood.   Wink

And I gotta say, I have to download some houses from this thread. I really like the solution of making the wierd entrance a display case. Great work!
138  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: August on: 2008 August 10, 21:28:52
Ok, Ive stayed well away from this thread until now (didn't want to get too much inspiration from others work ;P), but here is my final product.
I have all stuffpacks and expansions. The house costs 132,253 simoleons (I tend to create bigger houses) and has four bedrooms and three baths. I expanded the cellar and raised the floor so it now feetures a hobby room, the fourth bedroom, a bath and a party room. Btw, I added the pool after I took the first batch of pics, thats why it only shows on the first picture.

Edit: Forgot to add that I used the flat lot version plus cleaned the lot with clean installer before upload. And now I remember I also forgot to mention that the phones are non-existant in this house.  Wink

Onto the pics!

The front of the house.

Main floor.

Second floor.

139  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.4 on: 2008 August 10, 10:13:56
I have all settings on high on the games graphics, so I'm thinking there must be something else that's causing the weird lighting effects. Since it's the bathwater, newspaper, bright colored pillows that turn blue when I zoom out, there must be something else that's not quite right. All of the above affected items are at least cream colored, if not white, so something in the mod is not handling whiteish stuff very well. Either that, or my game is just wonky. If my memory serves me right, I did put the files in their correct folder, but can a misplaced file cause the wonkiness?

I really like this mod, and even though I'm not experienced in modding I'd like to help. Is there something else that can be done? Some configuration that I have that's different from others? Although I get the impression Crash has some of the same issues.

Anyways, despite the issues, great work!
140  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.4 on: 2008 August 01, 10:51:48
Graphics card settings are on high, at present a Nvidia Geforce 7300 LE. I was using some wall lights from Nightlife, plus some ceiling lights from another later expansion, which I think was seasons. Come to think of it, I havent got the shadow settings on high, I'll try that out and report back.

EDIT: Nope, the dogs still are glowing yellow, newspapers and bathwater are turning blue when I zoom out and some lights are wonky. That is with all settings high on the graphics card.
141  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.4 on: 2008 July 31, 21:41:11
I'm having some issues with this mod, which are starting to get annoying. For instance, all dogs have gotten the glowing head of doom, in a bright sunny yellow shade. All elder beards have been tie-dyed purple. And on top of that all furniture in some rooms are almost black even hough there is plenty of lamps in the room. And yes, I did try to plop down the light again, after lifting it up. I also hadn't built any new walls at the time. I'm thinking that smarter lights is an issue? Since thats the only other lighting mod I have, I don't know what else could be the problem.

ETA: Took some pics of the offended, posted at my photobukkit account.

142  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How long does Louis Aspir live anyway? on: 2008 July 28, 10:59:56
I've just played a 3 day cycle of the Aspirs. Louis was 108 when I started. On 3 consecutive nights he has beaten Death and kept his life. He is now 111. Does that damn genie give never-ending life? This is the first time I've ever had a sim win against Death and this is 3 times in a row.

I've been looking forward to my first Desiderata ghost.  Angry

I noticed that last night, when I made him marry one of my legacy founders. (I know, hes not a townie/NPC, but its for my personal enjoyment.) I haven't played that lot long enough for him to meet his demise yet, so that's going to be interesting...

@eevilcat, that's a great house! The colors are nice and the sauna is a nice touch.

@hippi:
I love the design, especially the kitchen island. How did you do that?
145  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 23:18:41
How much of the pond are we allowed to modify? Can we move it or only expand?
146  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 15:25:59
@Witch: That house looks great! It is a keeper.

I have a question tho. I want to do a house makeover of this property too, but I have a problem with the picture taking. I can't take a photo of a lot with a pool in it without the game slowing down to a snails pace, which is quite annoying. Does anyone have a suggestion why that is? I have very little cc, lots of space on the harddrive, about 2 Gigs of memory and a 3.2 dualcore processor.
147  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Eaxis House of Fail Makeover Challenge on: 2008 July 05, 10:52:40
130 Sim Lane is adorable, although it is very small and needs a makeover. I have fond memories of that one, my first romance soim popped out seven children in that one.

It never seizes to amaze me how different a house can be with just a little effort and a creative mind. You have all done a great job. I can't wait for the next round!  Smiley

@Witch: The terrace looks great!

@Yecats: I never thought of placing the kitchen counter like that. Very nice touch!

I like how you integrated the garage with the whole house. And very awesomespec, too!
