101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 May 18, 19:31:22
Do you have AMD dualcore by any chance? If so you might need DualCore optimizer from their site or manually appoint only one core to the game in task manager.
102  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is "setQuarterTilePlacement on" incompatible with a userstartup? on: 2009 April 06, 08:25:04
Can you post your userstartup.cheat file? Maybe it's the order that matters  Huh
103  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is "setQuarterTilePlacement on" incompatible with a userstartup? on: 2009 April 05, 07:33:12
It doesn't work for me too Sad
What I did is put this in my userstartup.cheat file

alias q "setQuarterTilePlacement on"

This way in game I only need to type q in cheat console, and then Ctrl+F
Though cheat is still not working on its own, it's certainly easier to use.
104  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: M&G setQuarterTilePlacement on/off new decorating "cheat" on: 2008 November 22, 21:31:28
Do you have Mansion& Garden staff?
EDIT:Well, actually if it says:
Quote
ERROR TSCheatSystem: ERROR IN CHEAT: Expecting at most 1 arguments
in command 'setQuarterTilePlacement [on | off] '. OnErrorClearParserTempState called.
with command setQuarterTilePlacement [on | off]
.\source\TSCheatSystem.cpp(68)
you must have it, since it does recognize the need for an argument.
Can you say what error do you get after you enter:
"setQuarterTilePlacement on"?
(copy/paste without quotes)

3 - Can't move occupied apartment lots from neighborhood view

Yes, I mentioned it a couple of pages before. Really annoying. I hope there is a cheat, that we didn't discover yet, to fix this.
106  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 September 09, 18:32:18
I had an "experience " with EA tech support, and I got very very strong impression, that at least a few first times it is a bot answering a question. Either that, or they never ever finish reading the complaint, only looking at the first couple of lines.
107  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial AL Patch - Assorted Fixes on: 2008 September 08, 07:53:46
Maybe you should still try to remove the hacks, all of them, and try to replicate the errors. Just to be sure.
108  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Neighborhood Terrain Surgery - no roads/weird terrain? on: 2008 September 08, 07:45:09
I don't know what happened with this neighborhood, but if you have a back up, and you should always have one, you can try HoodReplace: Replace Neighborhood Terrain by Mootilda from MTS2:
http://sumomo.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=279992
It's simpler to use, and has more options. Though it hasn't been yet updated for AL, but works upto FT for sure.

You can also use modifyterrain cheat, if you hav FT and higher, to elevate the terrain slightly up. Just move houses some place else in the neighborhood, elevate and move them back.
109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: PSA: Abandonated Mods Borked by AL on: 2008 September 01, 18:43:03
Hmmm, I always had a problem with that hack not allowing me to change a pregnant sim into Everyday clothing using a dresser or armoir. I always had to make her take a shower (or change clothes automagically after making the bed with a 'change automatically after making the bed' hack installed). This is not new problem with AL, AFIAK. That, or I had some sort of hack conflict I wasn't aware of.

From dizzy readme:
Quote
- global-allow-pregnant-outfits: Permits pregnant sims to wear any category outfit. Note that you also need auto-change-normal for the dressers to have properly modified menus.
Maybe that's the reason? I can't test right now.

Tasha, where did you find such nice looking potions? Are they customs or default replacements?

I think they're from Parsimonious. They are remakes of the love potion, anti-vampire potion etc. The ones the gypsy sells.
Thanx, I found them. Here is the link http://www.parsimonious.org/furniture2/modded/k8-Panacea.shtml for all interested

I am loving these new wall shelves. Especially because I can move them up and down. I was finally able to get rid of my CC shelving because there is more than OFB shelves in the game.

112  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gameplay: How do YOU keep track of sim lifes? on: 2008 August 29, 04:57:16
Access and I are having fights now. I am not liking 2007, and apparently forgot half of database creation. But it's a fun challenge, and once I have this database set up I'll be able to use the format for future 'hoods.
If you want, I could post an empty version of mine this weekend.  I'm in 2007 as well, so it should work.
I would certainly love that. I remember doing projects in school on access, but alas, now I have no idea how to start  Undecided

When Sim is checking out an apartment, he is not supposed to go inside, only to stand on the doorstep. So I guess it was a bug that he entered.
114  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 August 28, 13:30:04
And is it supposed to happen that the other playable families in the building are able to be observed going about their daily life when they are not selected?
It happens to me only with Cho/Riley households. I guess they are borked, like the shadow man in the trailer park.

those are the ones I was playing, yup.

and so irritating that the plumbob sticks
 through the floor.  So annoying.
The problem with households was solved by moving out/moving in of Cho family.

About the plumbob. It seems your sim was standing on the stage, cause generelly the plumbob is low enough not to be seen.

No, it's still there. Enjoy the new bugs.

.
"Shadow people" in non playable apartments. Furniture, etc, disappears but you can still the occupants standing idle inside the dark apartment.
pic removed
The shadow man exists for me too on that particular lot in that particular apartment unit.  Didn't notice this on any other apartment lot.
118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 August 27, 20:16:25
I love how the sun shines when good witch is getting rid of the rain Smiley

And I hate how the wheels in the trailer park don't touch the ground, because they just can't be lowered any more.

EDIT: Sim, who lives in the trailer park, just served mac and cheese to the whole neighborhood, both outside and inside. She lives alone + roommate. Now this I really hate.  Oh, and apperently sims can freely sleep in a strangers house. He won't mind at all.
119  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 August 27, 19:35:13
Well, at least primp is still there, which kinda surprises me actually. I guess all their attention went into not forgetting that one.

Now, it seems I can't move inhabited apartments from place to place. Can still move other lots and uninhabited apartments. Anyone else can confirm this?
120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gameplay: How do YOU keep track of sim lifes? on: 2008 August 25, 17:12:41
Hm, I also went looking for personal wiki, as lefty suggested in "how do you play" thread, and this is what I found:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_wiki
Should be more useful then genealogy for somebody who just likes to take a lot of notes, as opposed to organizing family trees.

ingeli: I'm really impressed by Windlebridge site. That's a lot of work put into documenting.  And all of your sims have such individuality, all mine CAS turn out to be look alikes  Embarrassed
121  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Gameplay: How do YOU keep track of sim lifes? on: 2008 August 25, 12:42:09
After seeing people mentioning here and there different note keeping styles, starting from simple scrapes of paper, upto creating a whole database from scratch, I though that this deserves a thread of it's own. So here you go. Tell us how do YOU keep track of those little sim lifes.

I personally have a simple excel sheet, where I count rotation days, additional taxes and ages.
Though right now I'm looking for a good genealogy program like this one maybe: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/ for a fresh start neighborhood.

http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/
This program seems to be interesting. It has many options like pictures, events, nice family trees and even to-do list.
http://genealogy-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
This is where I found it, it's a review list of similar programs.
123  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Changing Neighborhood Terrain...I have an annoying problem!!!! on: 2008 August 23, 17:47:15
If the hack is in downloads folder, then it is installed, no further actions needed. Just remove it and everything will get back to normal. http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=167299.

I had something like 25 OMSP, or even more. Really glad that I can get rid of some of them now. Thank you very much.
125  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 16, 07:28:44
Oh, yes, please! I wanted to delete some of them, but am too scared to mess it up.
