Title: All Sims on Lot are Frozen
Post by: rufio on 2009 January 04, 03:30:14
So, yeah, all sims on the lot (i.e. my sim, her cat, and a room full of home business customers) are stuck.  Most of them are standing up, not even doing any idling animations, and my sim refuses to do anything I tell her, including moving.  The sims that are sitting at the poker table are still dealing cards, but that's it.  The game is unpaused, and free will is on.  There's nothing interesting in the Lot Debugger under "Fix" or "Nuke" (i.e. nothing I've never seen before), and deleting my playable and reloading didn't do it.  Should I delete all the sims and reload?  Am I going to have to move her out and then back in again?  Help?

ETA:  Also, the lot is lagging a lot.  Even with a room full of customers, it doesn't usually lag this much.

Have you turned testing cheats on?

This is going to sound weird, but check that everything is accessible (especially toilets) to sims. I have a community lot I made that I put the sink and toilet in the wrong position and sims just get stuck until fixed.

Force an error on objects off lot; it will take a bunch of error windows to click on, but it should do the trick.

Agree... mine was a DJ booth on a 45-degree angle.  If you can't spot anything out of place, try making each sim selectable in turn (which might take a while with the lag) and see what they have in queue.

Have you tried taking your CC folder out?

Testing cheats is always on these days.

Yes; I haven't moved anything since everything was normal.  Actually, I think it suddenly happened in the middle of normal gameplay - I saved and quit and came back later to see if anything had changed.

Thanks - I'll try that.  ETA:  That fixed it.  Also, is there anything in TS2 that is not implemented as an object?

Anything not an object is hardcoded.
