Post by: chryzantem on 2012 January 23, 20:13:17
hello,i am watching this site for a long time, but now i have some serious problem.
so,i started to play TS3 after few moths break. downloaded Generations and Pets from PirateBay,then some custom stuff from ModTheSims,TSR.
made new sim, bought cat,etc etc, then turned off game.
next day, turned on,and...all wishes disappeared, also all relationships were resetted.
lost all hopes to solve it.removed all custom stuff, nothing worked.
hoped its because of town (HiddenSprings),but i put some old maded sim to Apooloha city and still same problem.
i dont have original TS3,so i dont know where to look for help...

As in, you don't have the base game?

Since when has ESL been a license to commit grammatical sins that are inexcusable in any language?

Cracked .exes are never a good idea, mainly because people tend to overwrite their original files, causing problems with patching down the road.  Better to use something to bypass the launcher and disk check, like Awesomemod or Twallan's No-CD.

ok,i got AwesomeMod.removed crack and game turned on,but...
im still getting message at game loading screen - "critical errror mismatch!"something about other core mod which is interrupting AwesomeMod.and two options - Quit or Ignore.
when i choose Ignore, family or neighboor is loading endlessly.so game is still not working.
removed all custom content, dccache, still the same message.

Are you using the 1.29 patch? AM doesn't support previous versions.

yes,i found that advice here (use "search" before posting,i know :P )
gonna download patch, and then try to play, will edit post.i hope it will be the end!

edit - i've reinstalled all sims.patched it,put only AwesomeMod.and still endless loading.
and least i dont have critical error message.
i dont know what to do anymore.

Does the loading bar move?
If not - framework fail.
If so - patching fail.

ok,so i found the solution - i just can't minimize game when it's loading family or neighboor.only then will load succesfully.
i don't know why,but it works :/
game works fine, just gets some random crash sometimes, but i guess i can't avoid this.

anyway, sorry for my bad english again, thank you all for help.topic can be closed.

OK, (space after a comma) so I found the solution, I just can't minimize (my) game when it's loading (a) family or neighborhood. (space after a full stop) Only then will (it) load successfully.

No. You have missed the point completely. It is not your English that is a problem here, it is because you refuse to use your shift key or your spacebar. See what I mean? I make no claim to be a grammar expert, but I can certainly point out beginner punctuation. We give ESL (English as a Second Language) people a bit of leeway for grammar and spelling here, but we are smart enough to know that every language has punctuation. You are just being lazy and using text speak. Don't.

Chinese and Japanese have no capitalization and very rarely have spaces. You also corrected its punctuation with a comma splice. It does seem to be a bit impatient, though, considering it can't wait for a game to load without tabbing out.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

Most likely, I am often accused of splicing my commas. However, in my defence, the semi-colon is far more popular in America than elsewhere. I believe the UK is more inclined to use hyphens and I'm kind of caught between, I'm never quite sure what to do.
