51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Who's got some good names for Servos? on: 2006 March 27, 22:36:41
I have a Tobor for obvious reasons, but I was also thinking of using Roy, Pris, Leon etc... maybe if I could be bothered with the android thing.
52  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Hostel Challenge: Not My idea on: 2006 March 27, 13:55:18
I've done this twice with a bunch of self sims...

The first try I kept pretty good tabs on it, Posie died first and ended up scaring mostly everyone else to death, with the exception of Hook who got deadinated by the TOILET BUNNY.

The second try features Pescado actually, and I changed the rules a little, having a teen, zombie, vampire and the lovebed. A few kids were had as I only put seven sims in to start...

I wish I could give you a link to my exchange story, but the official site is down, and anyway it won't let me upload the second installment because the file's too big. I think blogspot or livejournal beckons...

When it's back up I'd love a link! And (shameless plug) there's a brief guide to using LJ and it's features for hosting sim stories at this link

55  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Weasel's 19th Century Challenge on: 2006 March 16, 02:06:37
That's interesting Sadie - I'd thought about a challenge similar actually maybe spanning a greater time distance. It is kind of weird how the sims are stuck in one time period (to be expected I know)... maybe that's something they'll build on in the future "evolutiosims".
56  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: (Featuring Twain, LK and Trubble) The ISBI Challenge on: 2006 March 15, 10:33:01
I made it, pm me your email address and I can send you the package file if you'd like?

Good to know Twain Wink
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Guess who. on: 2006 March 11, 23:31:17
I think it's the other sim, you know the one I mean.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's your first impression of OFB? on: 2006 March 11, 00:05:07
With contributions from Posie, a lot from LK and the others... THAT thread. Wink I hope that never gets deleted in some sort of BBS purge.

Moving on...
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating a new Downtown Area question on: 2006 March 09, 18:02:44
Downtownies not visiting the main 'hood got even more irritating with the addition of OFB - I'd wiped out all townies, left the downtownies (they seemed worthwhile to keep), and had a home business in the base 'hood... only two shoppers as they were the only other sims there. I eventually caved and added Bluewater to it for the business... but really and truly I hate having all the sub 'hoods - it's not necessary right away. Had I really thought about it I would have set it up in the Downtown area, but ah well. You live, you learn.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's your first impression of OFB? on: 2006 March 09, 17:53:01
I thought that was a big joke started by Trubble and friends.  I think that was in the thread that Blue deleted, so that's why you can't find it, Sleepycat. Smiley

62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo is WAY overpowered.......*Spoiler* on: 2006 March 03, 21:53:02
The SentryBot zappage is pretty funny, Servo has yet to go awol.

ETA: Apparently servo goes after all the humans on the lot when he screws up Wink
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo is WAY overpowered.......*Spoiler* on: 2006 March 03, 18:00:52
There's a thread on robots here. It is from the prima guide apparently, so approach with caution.

Just for Pes, I thought I'd quote the death related stuff:

Quote
SentryBot:

This Bot will shoot stun rays at any burglar trying to enter your lot, and once the burglar recovers they will take off running. This bot will also "react to" passing Sims who try and steal your newspaper, kick over your trash can, or mess with/try to steal your gnomes or flamingoes. SentryBot can climb stairs and use the elevator. When he is malfunctioning or broken he will treat random Sims on the lot just like they are a burglar, shooting them with the stun ray which causes electrocution and sometimes even death. Repairing him will return him to normal.

Servo

Servo will occasionally break down. When they do, they start to "Run Amok" where they run around all crazy, flailing their arms and showering sparks that can electrocute, or even kill, nearby Sims. You cannot turn off a malfunctioning Servo, but it will eventually Power Down on it's own. It will then remain in "broken"
state until it is repaired by the Repairman or another Sim with high Mechanical skills. If Servo lives alone he can call the Repairman himself with it's internal cell phone, which can only be used for this purpose.
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How many times can a Knowledge sim Woohoo? on: 2006 March 03, 10:05:06
Haha, that sounds like a good sim for Trey's Woohoo Challenge.
65  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Factoids and Statistics on Skill Gaining on: 2006 February 15, 10:45:29
That, or you need a commandant that will lock you in a room with no doors, drop you into a ladderless pool, or light your ass on fire if you don't comply with orders.

Or both at the same time...

67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Autonomous Flirts More Frequent in NL? on: 2006 February 09, 22:53:11
Aww thankies guys!

On a bit of a hiatus, uni kind of took over my life a bit, and when I get time I just play... anything new would be here though Smiley
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Autonomous Flirts More Frequent in NL? on: 2006 February 09, 15:17:09
I think Trubble had Dina and Alexander get together in her Pleasantview Saga (I think that's what it was called???) but only briefly.  Her Alexander was very twisted.  Cheesy  I made Alexander Fortune because it seemed to suit him as a rich kid.  I am not sure yet what I will make him in my new Pleasantview.  I could go with Knowledge like his father, but I do have a lot of Knowledge Sims already.  It seems to be my favorite aspiration followed closely by Family.

Haha, yes I did (and yeah that's what it was called Cheesy). Alex was *very* twisted. I also changed Dina's hair, dress and makeup to that of Bella, surprisingly similar apart from the green eyes. It was all part of the plot though... Alex didn't have kids with Dina, he did have an alien son though, who he treated like a test subject for a while... In fact that whole story was twisted.

He said Sunday probably for parts four and five.
70  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: (Featuring Twain, LK and Trubble) The ISBI Challenge on: 2006 January 24, 22:03:09
Cheesy LK is very funny. He has the pictures for part three, and then a BFBVFOS happened, and thus we are all back in college. I have a few things up my sleeve, and knowing LK it'll take forever to get part three anyway Wink But I do need to play our little dorm again...

Glad you enjoyed it Smiley

Take it outside PEEPS.
72  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: (Featuring Twain, LK and Trubble) The ISBI Challenge on: 2006 January 24, 18:54:26
Thanks everypeeps, from me and LK.

And Twain... go suck a tree Wink

Muisie - I know exactly how you feel. I started ethiopian email and all it is is loading lots!! I went back to my sim-centric legacy today just because I couldn't cope with all those screens. Cheesy

73  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The ISBI Challenge, the Trubble Way on: 2006 January 22, 11:40:47
Considering the three of us are in a lot of MATY 'hoods also, this just doesn't feature anyone else.

The last place this got advertised was in Retardo Land, when Sandilou asked us for our self sims I believe, I didn't see the point of putting it there again as it didn't seem that relevant, but didn't really know where else to put it. So you know, whatever.

Thanks Liss, most credit goes to the caption monkey that is LK.
74  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / (Featuring Twain, LK and Trubble) The ISBI Challenge on: 2006 January 21, 23:27:22
For those of you that didn't see it before, it is here.

For those of you that did see it - part deux is now up, LK took forever, because LK sucks.

For those of you wondering why you should care - it features Twain, LK and I (and later random partners) where I am the only "playable" sim, in conjunction with the ISBI rules.

If you're still wondering... there's something wrong with you Tongue

Nah I'm kidding... sorta. Mainly written by LK, played by me. Tada.

You know what I miss? The whacky statue from Livin' Large, the dude in the boxers brushing his teeth. That went in pretty much every bathroom. I was gonna make it but have been too busy.
