It's beautiful! DLing it now.

I think I will put some parrots in it if I can hide the cages somewhere, they can fly around and add to the rainforest effect. (Hmm, a hack that will allow 2 or more parrots per cage would be helpful here, the cages take up so much room) Tongue
327  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bigfoot memento seems borked on: 2007 November 01, 12:56:36
I have moved a few bigfoots in to various families so far, unfortunately without faulty funds added (according to the popup message, it's supposed to be $1). Because I use the lot debugger they cannot reproduce, and all seem to be popularity or knowledge, their LTWs are mostly career-related which makes it very easy to get them to permaplat.

My plan now is to move them all into the same house and let them get on with it. Also, one of the bigfoots owns a mountain-themed gym and extreme sports venue.

There is a strong possibility that anti-redundancy stomps charlatans, if not altogether then to the degree that it is highly unlikely that you will ever see one. The charlatan is supposed to be able to appear on any community lot and I have never seen one appear by themselves yet.

I spawned one last night using the NPC maker, and was highly amused to see him fleece an unsuspecting holidaymaker.  Tongue
329  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: 2 more SC4 Terrains, smaller, flat beach lots on: 2007 October 17, 12:53:25
I love these new terrains BAAAA!  Cheesy

As the novelty of beach lots has not worn off for me, nor is it likely to soon, I have added a beach lot-friendly terrain as a sub neighborhood. That way, all my sims in the main hood can simply move house if I want them to live at the beach.
330  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Easels and inventories: no option to continue painting? on: 2007 October 17, 10:44:41
It might be the different life stages, that the game somehow does not recognise the sim as being the original artist.
331  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Easels and inventories: no option to continue painting? on: 2007 October 17, 09:35:11
I do not recall this being a problem before BV, but now, if I put an easel with a half-finished painting in a sim's inventory, the sim no longer has the option to continue the painting but only to scrap it.

332  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Did EAxis bork sharing beach front lots too? on: 2007 October 17, 08:04:55
I DLed some beach lots that simply will not go anywhere.

Regarding placing lots in Twikkii Island, I found that I had to remove some neighbourhood decorations before I could place some empty beach lots there.
333  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 October 13, 08:24:37
Talking about heatstroke, what's with the permanent surnburn? Ugh. I have one sim who seems to have turned into a lobster.
334  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 October 09, 17:00:52
I will try playing with debug mode on and see what happens.  Tongue
335  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 October 04, 20:39:48
Oh dear. I have neither of those. Maybe I will be able to get an error log, if it persists.
336  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 October 02, 13:41:07
I had a weird glitch last night. A YA on vacation at Twikki Island autonomously queued up "gesture-hang loose" 3 or 4 times in a row. But the picture on the action icon was a pink bottle, and the animation and sound effect was drinking love potion. He did not even have love potion in his inventory as far as I know.
337  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage on: 2007 October 02, 13:35:44
Note that the dorm building cheat works even when the hotel is occupied, so your rich sims can 'donate' an espresso machine (or whatever) to the lot while they're there.  I use that one so much that I have it aliased in my userstartup.cheat file. It comes in handy for plopping a BUY controller in the bathroom of the rooms the sims are staying in.

I did something similar, with bookshelves, but they were not there the next time I had sims visit that hotel. I think the only way to add items permanently is to edit the hotel from neighbourhood view.

Is it just me or are all these new posters with n00b questions really just mean people trying to make fun and/or rile up old timers?

I do not think these are BBSers, they are too polite and they don't RITE LIEK DIS LOL. I think they are MAXOIDS, looking for awesomehacks to put in the next patch. They are just scared that the hacks will make 90000000 games explode at once if they do...
339  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 October 01, 19:54:34
Did you leave anyone behind to look after pets/younger sims or did you hire the nanny?

Yes, there was an adult family member to stay behind.

I have all EPs and only awesomehacks  Tongue

I expect that this is something that will be patched.
340  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage dissatisfaction on: 2007 September 30, 12:17:58
The wedding party plus honeymoon scenario is not working properly. Someone posted about it on a sims2 community on livejournal recently, and I had the exact same experience.

My engaged sim planned a honeymoon and then threw a wedding party. The party went fine, the sims got married and the dialogue came up that they had had a great party. Instead of the limo arriving however, the party started all over again. I nuked the stuck party with the Lot Debugger, but still no limo.

On clicking on the sim and the vacation menu, the sim had the option to cancel the vacation but I initially did not do this, to see whether the vacation scenario would start but it did not. Eventually I had the sim re-book the vacation and a dialogue appeared to say that this would cancel the previously planned vacation, which of course was fine by me.
341  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: my toddlers have LTWs, am I doomed? on: 2007 September 28, 13:33:01
Aha! So they don't need the mat, then. I thought it was an essential accessory  Embarrassed
BAA!
342  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: my toddlers have LTWs, am I doomed? on: 2007 September 28, 12:14:58
My servos rolled wants to soak in hot tubs pre-BV. In fact, this was when I had just Uni, NL and OFB. So I was not too surprised at them rolling inappropriate wants with BV, mine also want to buy jewellery now. Also, sims want to fire dance at home, as far as I can tell this is impossible, the only way they can ever fire dance is to learn it.

BTW, using the Grilled Cheesinator worked to give my teen a LTW.
343  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets have trouble sleeping in BV? on: 2007 September 25, 14:54:46
I noticed this pre-BV. I usually make sure that no electronics are in any area that has sim or pet beds.
344  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage on: 2007 September 25, 14:51:33
I am still playing around with the various ways of doing things,so I am not 100% sure. You might need to change the lotzoning to Community first, to enable you to alter anything, then you will have to change it back to Hotel when you are done.
345  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2007 September 25, 10:40:30
Every BV lot must have a lot debugger, no doubt about that. I am systematically going through all the hotels and vacation lots, adding items where necessary.
346  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti-Redundancy *CRITICAL FOR BVp0* on: 2007 September 25, 10:38:07
I have been playing BV for two weeks, with the hack of course, and no charlatan has ever showed up. I am quite happy about this, fears of having pockets picked show up very often.
347  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servos vs. Tents - Broken? on: 2007 September 25, 09:09:47
Servos cannot recharge on hotel lots if there is an outside stereo playing. The music wakes them up, go figure.
348  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage satisfaction on: 2007 September 21, 13:50:20
Only one of my sims has learnt to teleport so far, those Ninjas are very elusive and teleport away when someone so much as looks at them. I love their outfits.
349  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti-Redundancy *CRITICAL FOR BVp0* on: 2007 September 21, 09:04:02
The legend is pretty, but it seems to me to be the most pointless thing in BV. My sims now keep rolling wants to tell it to other sims.
350  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti Vacation Actions: Death to all Nesses on: 2007 September 18, 08:31:30
I feel better now. So far I have sent three different families on vacation, one to each of the three destinations. I saw neither hula dancing nor tai chi, and I visited all the lots.

I have been playing with this hack installed from the start.

The vacation locals do not use the local gestures to my sims, until my sims get a high enough relationship score for the gesture option to appear in their menus, and then the local will respond of course.
