We wouldn't want that to happen again, would we. Tongue
77  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need a kick in the right direction on: 2006 August 19, 22:59:50
In answer to the second question, if you have OFB (I think this cheat came with OFB, but I could be remembering wrong) you can use the agesims cheat to make them a teen.

The cheat actually came with NL.

Meh. They only difference really is that the family tree is not greyed out. My neighbourhood is not a BFBVFS, and I've never even had to use a whole back up before. Tongue
79  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lifetime want weirdness on: 2006 August 18, 09:29:26
Deleting sims from the sim bin is fine. The character file is still there. It's just shredded. Just like deleting a tombstone of a dead sim. Now the LOT bin...that's a BFBVFS waiting to happen.

Better alive than dead, Dizzy. Welcome back. Smiley
81  TS2: Burnination / Taster's Choice / Re: Facial Hair For Females on: 2006 July 22, 13:19:30
Yess! I've wanted something like this for...let's just say a while.
82  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: super-speed when Servo "powers down" on: 2006 July 14, 06:23:03
My fingers tend to shift back and forth between 1 and 3 rapidly because of constantly speeding boring things up, then realizing another sim in the house is being stupid and about to die, shifting back to 1, then getting them back to what they need to be doing and hitting 3 again, etc etc.

Really though, the automatic speed-up thing annoys me to death, because it always seems to happen at the wrong time, like right when the pregnant sim who is about to starve passes out. Roll Eyes

I do the exact same thing. Although now it's sorta an unconscious movement. 131313131313

It also makes the game run faster for people with lower end systems.
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bug or 'really cool feature' (fridge restocking problem) on: 2006 July 10, 06:28:44
I have Monique's auto delivery now, but before that I used to just buy a new fridge whenever the old fridge ran out.
85  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EA contacted me! on: 2006 July 07, 06:30:05
Aww, congrats Brynne. Cheesy
86  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: boolprop townie generators not working on: 2006 July 06, 08:39:44
I've had reporters in main hoods without the shopping district.

Remember, there are 2 abduction cutscenes: The actual abduction and the return.
88  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: dates on: 2006 July 06, 08:31:26
Doesn't the Romance Mod stop sims from getting jealous of their SO on a date unless they were actually doing something?
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This sim is haunted... on: 2006 July 06, 06:11:15
I'm just thinking it was a very strange glitch. All my dead sims from my main hood were all sent to a different subhood...after I moved Natasha to a new house, she has not been visited by any persistent parents. Tongue
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This sim is haunted... on: 2006 July 05, 06:21:29
I just checked Gothier Green Lawns...there is no grave...the grave has disappeared into the oblivion. I moved Natasha into a new lot, and Coral didn't come back...so I hope she's gone.
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / This sim is haunted... on: 2006 July 04, 12:35:39
Anyway. Natasha Oldie is the adopted child of the Oldies in Pleasantview. Herb and Coral and died and been sent to Gothier Green Lawns. One night when Natasha is at work, working at her dead-end teenage job, Coral drifts on lot. I was in triple-speed and only realised because of the ghost sounds she was making. Once she floated in the lot, she started doing the usual ghost stuff. (Possessing objects, cheering at beds, etc.) At this point, I panicked and quit without saving. I promptly moved Natasha to the simbin. Then I quit without saving and haven't had time to play yet since then.

I checked in SimPE, and Coral's character data is still fully intact, which means I did move the grave downtown, otherwise it would've been destroyed by Natasha moving out. (I do not have nounlinkondelete, btw.)

Is this a side effect of moving graves between subhoods?
92  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Adding Memory....On of scale of 1 to 10.....how difficult should this be? on: 2006 July 01, 13:56:24
I have 512 RAM, and my game runs fine for me, apart from the odd VPU recover here and there, if I make really huge jerky movements with the camera. I would think 1 GB would be fine too...
93  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Rare Photobooth picture. Has this happened to anyone else? on: 2006 June 30, 14:26:15
Heh, I remember the first time one of my sims autonomously used a photobooth on their own. Nicole Cox was visiting her brother-in-law, who she was best friends with. Anyway, Nicole was a very outgoing sim, and I didn't even know she was on the lot until I saw the flash of the photobooth in the shed...then she came out of it! I thought I imagined the whole thing... Undecided
94  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Social for toddlers please!!!! on: 2006 June 30, 01:52:46
We get your point. What you're saying is that they should get social from the other toddler toys. But in a way, this is sorta pointless. Unless your toddlers social are going so far down they refuse to do anything, it doesn't really matter. And if Pescado doesn't see anything wrong with it, why should he fix it? Most of his fixes and mods are for his own playing style, y'know, and he's just kind enough to share them with us. Cheesy
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fear of going broke on: 2006 June 29, 14:08:33
I've seen the fear of going broke in pleasure sims especially ever since installing NL. Then again, I probably have more Pleasure sims than most...
96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster learning without cheating on: 2006 June 28, 12:02:22
I once had a sim with 420 IQ, which I put down to being a really, really strange glitch. Unfortunately, this was just before the installation of OFB.
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fulfiling Multiple LTWs/'Impossible' LTWs on: 2006 June 28, 01:18:48
I haven't done 20 lovers yet, although I have done 20 best friends. Much easier. Tongue
98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Faster learning without cheating on: 2006 June 28, 01:14:51
Feeding my toddlers one smartmilk is enough to get it stuck for me. Oh well, if it works for you it works for you.
99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Phone calls for the dead on: 2006 June 28, 01:13:34
I wasn't aware that JM had any family members or close friends. Tongue
100  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I turn off this crappy music again? on: 2006 June 28, 01:08:54
I use the Shopping Channel's music for Buy & Build mode. The Sims 1 music was so much better than The Sims 2's.
