If either sim has lvl 2 in the connections branch of perks they will start with 15/15 or so just by saying hello.

127  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weak in Math...:) on: 2006 March 08, 05:19:02

It  IS humble, and doesn't cost much...Smiley. It's just decorated well...Smiley

Humble my ass!

Humble is an outdoor grill and giant bong in the woods.

Although probably also the fastest way to get lvl 10.
128  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: shaklin ?? on: 2006 March 07, 23:29:16
Yeah, JPG is a much better way to go.

Isn't shaklin a guy?  Or was the person I heard refer to shaklin as "he" mistaken...   Undecided

* rainbow has no idea.

That sim on the frontpage could be a goth TV. So no clues there either!

130  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Have my lips been ripped off? on: 2006 March 07, 21:04:46
I have lost 2 sets of lips, and somehow my employement has been revealed!
131  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's your second and third impression of OFB? on: 2006 March 07, 20:39:47
Personally I wish you could take badges away from towniees.

I hate paying them for things that I would never use them to do.

Thats why all my employees are the unskilled homeless people and trailer trash that populate my town.

Then I can traint hem in one, and only one, job and save 30$ an hour.
132  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why sell cheap stuffs if you can sell plasma TV's and Expensive hot tubs? on: 2006 March 07, 20:22:49
the snapdragon really helped tho, i place those all over the place to keep my customers and employees in better mood (only one or two in one spot so energy wont drain too fast)

I know this is off on a tangent, but does the snapdragon deplete energy when it boosts the other moods?

No, it doesn't replenish but does slow energy depletion.

So having a lot full of snapdragons you can easily get 24 hour shifts out of your employees before neding a rest.

They are silly overpowered.
133  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Object Crafting: Do we really have the time? on: 2006 March 07, 20:19:40

So, does JM actually have OFB or did I just have a super-realistic dream??

I would guess he is, um... "previewing" the game using the power of teh intewebs and pirates.
134  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Kids, Mrs. Crumplebottom, etc on: 2006 March 07, 07:54:27
You would corrupt your game.

Shouldn't be possible if they patched it right when they made the vamp fix. In other words, you can probably do it with a light breeze ona sunny day.
135  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Kids, Mrs. Crumplebottom, etc on: 2006 March 07, 07:50:14
All my towniee kids are int he ground now.

Crumplebottom has been hanging around a few of my shops. She doesn't enter, just paces on the sidewalk and yells at anyone who passes.

Wonder if beserk servo would zap her....
136  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB glitch (no UserInterface) on: 2006 March 07, 04:03:46
Is it so wrong to want child molesting to be OK in TS2?

DAMN YOU MAXIS!!!!
137  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Annoying jestures of CAS sims in OFB on: 2006 March 07, 04:02:31
My Sim has taken up a new hobby of looking out of windows.  She has shop full of customers waiting to pay, but nooo, she wants to look out  the window. Shocked  There is NOTHING there I tells ya.

Turn the windows inside out. It stops them looking out and looks the same as long as they don't have shutters.
138  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So Who Has OFB, Then? on: 2006 March 07, 04:01:03
If Larry isn't available, ask for his voicemail. Probst is his last name.

Just explain you are a concerned customer and would appreciate some attention and reassurances.

139  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Object Crafting: Do we really have the time? on: 2006 March 07, 03:55:41
I can't imagine a use for 8 sims running one store.

One on register, one on restock, one on sales and you are all constantly busy at lvl 10.

I can see a 4th if you need crafted crap though.
140  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Shoplifters on: 2006 March 07, 03:48:11
All the teens in my hood I recognize, since allt he towniee teens are buried in a serial killer's backyard.

Its not just teens. Its certain interactions and I assume needs failures that take them out of the regular shopping cycle.
141  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Reporters not reporting? on: 2006 March 07, 03:44:17

The evil kite is the messed up one.

Its made of metal!

Sadly what happens destroys it, so You can't leave it like the cowplant as a trap to hurt or kill random people.

The higher badge toys are better AND more deadly.

Make an evil kite and use it. Smiley
145  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB sold items in Inventory? WHAT THE? on: 2006 March 06, 23:30:51
Hmm how exactly does the delete button work?  I can select something and hit delete on the keyboard then it gives a bunch of cash and removes the item.  sanmonroe are you sure it deducts the money from your sims when the items are bought?  Because if that's true their falling short, i got a ton of computers the shop sells them for about 3.1k and i can sell em out of the inventory for about 2.2k.

Hmm. Probably the game has no way to record how much items cost on other lots. They probably are refunding you the normal price not the spent price.

If so, its another bug.
146  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB sold items in Inventory? WHAT THE? on: 2006 March 06, 23:29:16
Ok lets make sure we are talking about the same thing.

When a sim comes onto your lot and buys something, say for 10$, the owner gains 10$ and has one item needing restock.

If you then load up the house of the sim who bought it, that sim now has 10$ less than before. They actually spent the money.

Now, supposedly the game limits you to only 3 items worth a max of 20% of the buyers lot value. If a fourth item is bought the first is sold back at full price.

This doesn't actually work.

Now, since Maxis realized that sims were stupid and would bankrupt themselves since they were bound to screw up the programming controlling spending behavior, they made it so you can sell the items your sims bought right out of thier personal inventory. If you do that you get a full refund.

The original seller does not lose the money ona  refund, the game just pretends a townee bought it.
147  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: Talent Badge training progress bar .... Please? :) on: 2006 March 06, 23:22:54
Servos can supposedly use the coffin.

It may have to be outside, but who knows?

Servos are buggy. Anytime one of them even walks onto a lot as an autonomous sim I get error messages.
148  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB sold items in Inventory? WHAT THE? on: 2006 March 06, 23:21:23
Unless the towniee was using them as beverages or bathwater.
149  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB sold items in Inventory? WHAT THE? on: 2006 March 06, 23:15:34
The cost of the items is deducted from the buyers money. The game jsut lets you sell it back so your CAS sims don't fuck themselves too badly.

The funny thing is the game is supposed to have a 3 item limit. i.e. if a sim comes on your lot and buys 10 things, only the last 3 will be in invintory. Each time they buy a new item an old one gets bumped and sold back.

Naturally, this feature doesn't work in any way shape or form. Its fun clearing 20 items out of every sim on a lot because they shop a lot.

Wonder if its broken for towniees too. Towniees that its not broken for could come into ahouse with immense numbers of objects bought for free.
150  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Shoplifters on: 2006 March 06, 23:10:20
When I close a shop and my Sims still have bags, they check them out before they leave. So your saying they leave with the bags without paying?

Yes, under certain conditions. Just closing the shop doesn't seem to be a problem. These are people stealing while you are open.
