Maybe there's a severe watermelon shortage.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Funny but Baffling on: 2010 January 05, 22:30:08
That is such a great glitch. I'd leave it in too.
53  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: EA/Maxis "Sim2" content disappeared. Please help... on: 2009 December 30, 20:36:41
Wow. That's fucked up. Maybe there's a problem with the disc? Can you not get a refund or exchange it for another?

It could be a framwork fail.

Because all kids really want at Christmas is skin grafts.

58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fix for "incompatible base game" error message horseshittery. on: 2009 December 29, 00:20:20

Don't you think I would have tried that first, rather than wasting an obnoxious amount of time? I tried patching the base game, and got various incompatible patch messages.

Don't you should think you should be a little more bloody polite when someone is wasting their time helping you?
59  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sims ignore all custom/non-EA lots/houses. on: 2009 December 15, 21:40:56
Most of the custom houses I have installed in the neighborhood are exclusive lots from TSR, So they're most likely pre-tested before being uploaded

You're joking, right?
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Disembodied Stringy Torso Sim on: 2009 December 15, 17:02:03
I wonder if it's the outfit. Has your friend tried to change the outfit? I have two child outfits that literally create invisible torsos, and I can't figure out how to delete them.

Yeah, she's tried changing it four or five times, all with the same result, but because it seems to affect sims from toddler to elderhood, I'm thinking possibly it's something they wear from the start that screws things up, as if wearing it once causes the glitch permanently. Not sure though.

Did you ever install the maternity wear for teens?

She randomly downloaded loads of files from the booty over at PMBD, so there's a chance, but I doubt it's related to the maternity wear because it affects a few other sims, but this is the only one she took pics of.

Still, I'll tell her to steer clear of that outfit on future sims and check the downloads. Thanks for the replies!
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Disembodied Stringy Torso Sim on: 2009 December 14, 22:50:32
I've looked around and found nothing that answers this problem. My friend has a sim who has, throughout toddler, child and teen years had a weird body (pics attached), but this isn't the usual stretchy toddler/child problem. There are no modifications installed, just the base game and a sufficient graphics card, yet persistently sims go from normal to weird stringy body. At the moment it doesn't affect gameplay; it's just a creepy annoyance, but help would be appreciated.

62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pudding Pups to pee and dig holes in your Play d'Eau 'hoods? on: 2009 December 11, 23:14:02
More exotic pets like tarantulas, turtles, lizards, snakes and (not so exotic) rodents would bring a bit more variety, but I doubt that would happen. I think pets will most likely be the next expansion pack - kids love puppies and kittens and the sheeple will probably quite happily buy new breeds of cat and dog from the store for ridiculous prices.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 December 03, 23:32:48
Why they got rid of the piano still baffles me. It's been a much loved feature since the sims 1! And it's unrealistic to not let kids play instruments...in RL musicians often start very young.
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 December 03, 21:28:50
Spiral staircases are much more aesthetically pleasing, and are easier to place in smaller houses than regular staircases. It's nothing to get angry about, just a matter of preference Tongue

68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Floating Sim....WTF!!! on: 2009 November 28, 18:23:24
Maybe it's a feature. Wouldn't surprise me, all the other glitches seem to be passed off as that.
69  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Cuisine enthusiasm from eating on: 2009 November 28, 14:34:58
It is normal. It just seems to make sense to me that eating would gain enthusiasm for a hobby that's all about food! Not so sure if you can disable it, but why would you want to?
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pregnant but not pregnant on: 2009 November 07, 00:22:04
I've tried pollinating them then using falconpunch, but they end up switching back to the preg morph within minutes. any other ideas?

Yes they did try and it didn't work.

No idea how you fix it. It happened to me too but by that point, combined with about 50 other glitches, I thought fuck it and just stopped playing the game. I went back to sims 2, but that's probably not the most helpful resolution for you.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cannot get some sims pregnant on: 2009 November 03, 23:03:18
If you have debugging enabled, shift-control click the female sim you want to get pregnant, then choose "get pregnant". It's a couple of layers deep, and you can pollinate a child or elder sim, or even your own offspring as well. Pregnant child sims stretch out rather bizzarly when they walk, and elders are just a head, feet, and hands.

I agree with Dragon Slave, why the hell would you want a child pregnant? For the lulz? And elders? Ew...
72  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: [Work in progress] Polygamy or marriage of convenience on: 2009 October 19, 19:55:00

This is one of the issues with this hack but it's easily mended with the Sim Blender or SimPE. Personally I prefer the Sim Blender since it allows for in-game changes and lets you safely change both surname and personal name; SimPE only properly changes last name and requires you to exit the game first.

Much appreciated Smiley Problem had been bugging me for a while.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game doesnt load past, Is it a File problem? on: 2009 October 18, 12:06:33
I'm guessing by your statement "I actually managed to get it to run" your computer probably isn't great at meeting TS2's high system requirements. It normally takes 10 minutes of the loading screen on my computer before I actually see any progress on the loading bar simply because I have a shit load of custom content which lags everything.

It shouldn't be a problem with the files because the sims installer automatically puts everything in the correct place, so I'm guessing your computer isn't fast enough or lacks memory and is causing a severe lag, or simply causes it to crash and not respond.

How many times have you attempted to restart it? And how long do you leave it before you get sick of waiting?
