I found the original thread from over a year ago: Don't hate me because I have to pee...
27  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Adjust seasons on 1 lot on: 2007 March 08, 13:34:51
There's a new Weather Machine aspiration reward able to modify seasons for periods of time including permanently.
A modded buyable version is available here.
28  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Possible to make sims use the high chair more/exclusively? on: 2007 March 06, 17:36:33
The only time I've seen high chairs autonomously used is when a toddler asks to be fed with fairy low hunger motive.

If the infant is in a distracted state with low motives, the high chair is usually a good move to clean up the situation.

For everything else, there's get bottle for...

Fight Club with Gambling!
30  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Has this ever happened to you ... on: 2007 March 05, 16:45:26
The game floods over with generating stray pets for adoption, at least that is what happens to me.
Fifty or so character files later and the original phone call was only for a single pet. Heh.
31  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Installing EPs out of order on: 2007 March 05, 16:41:59
The Sims (original) had to be installed in order, IIRC.

The Sims 2, well, I recently added University then Pets to a Base / Nightlife / Open For Business & Seasons installation with no problems.
32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Wanting to Re-Generate my Townies. on: 2007 March 05, 16:37:47
Deleted 2: Electric Boogaloo or Sim Deleter Tool.

Grab new face templates, generate townies, tweak and enjoy. This can help with townie re-population phase.
33  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I'll show you where to insert correct disk!!! on: 2007 March 03, 04:39:27
Install Daemon Tools and get a "mini fixed image" from gamecopyworld.
Lastly, use a tool like SD4Hide to avoid blacklisting of the aforementioned program.

I use mini images even for DVD-installed games to avoid drive clutter.

I'll never understand the logic behind that Divino Sims hair. The shock factor still has not sunk in.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 February 28, 17:50:02
I've experienced sims standing on water while swimming when compelled to whine about a low motive ever since the beginning.
A favourite is usually: "I'm not sleeping in a bed with <sim>!" followed by a light backstroke. Likely to be unexpected animation sequences.
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 February 28, 17:31:47
The Weather Machine can prolong seasons for one day, three/four days or forever.
Other features include manipulating special weather effects (rain/slow/etc).
The aspiration cost is low (less than SimVac) and comes with three uses capacity.

About the thread question, it was just the annoying weather reactions already said. I'll test the test file.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Very SimPE Question on: 2007 February 25, 12:58:27
Load the hood containing the sim/s you want to body snatch in SimPE.

Open Sim Surgery from the top menu under Tools then Neighborhood.

Select the portrait of the sim from the left pane and use as Patient Sim.

Click the Export option to choose a location and filename.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting Recolours on: 2007 February 24, 08:26:01
You can delete recolours of objects in-game with the design tool.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Serving Platter Madness on: 2007 February 20, 08:11:37
I personally liked the autonomous lock on the fridges that came with smart-serve. Smiley
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Changing Accessory ages? on: 2007 February 17, 07:31:15
You can rename the package files and the game will read the resources without problems.
41  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Why are my rugs looking like crap!? on: 2007 February 17, 06:32:45
Maxis rugs have always looked bad in my games ever since I can remember. I use ATi, if anyone is wondering.
If you want to see really bad rugs, turn off snap to grid functionality - the rugs blend into floors like puke.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: To uninstall? on: 2007 February 14, 13:15:58
I uninstalled Pets and too was a fan of the Atomic Age furniture suite. Overall, I felt the expansion weighed too many disadvantages even with cat/dog gameplay being very enjoyable.
With a trip to Holy Simoly for fresh objects, my Sims 2 experience consists of Nightlife and Open for Business until Seasons hits shelves (on my birthday, no less, har har!)
43  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Fire Mod v2 on: 2007 February 12, 15:15:39
Running OFB with NL, I get an error relating to "Bad gosub tree number" whenever a fire is present and a sim begins to react (interaction - panic).
Previous older version had no problems, only the latest from 8th February from the OFB DC. I can dig out an error log if you need it.

[Edit] Log attached.

44  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: FUBARed lot/Neighborhood? on: 2007 February 11, 14:14:20
I just had a corrupted lot. To correct it, I changed the lot instance of the family in SimPE and deleted the Lot Description resource.
After that, the lot is removed and I could place down a safe backup while the family is located in the sim bin.

46  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Okay, Anyone Doing the Sims/Vista Rhumba? on: 2007 February 09, 08:42:03
You could setup a dual boot system with Windows XP Professional x64 and Windows Vista both as available operating system.
That way, you can trial Vista and use XP for The Sims 2. Here's the Wiki article on dual booting and guide for working with XP and Vista.
Most important step is to create a seperate partition or install individually on seperate drives to avoid any conflicts.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I know it has to be out there on: 2007 February 08, 12:28:17
Don't forget the Authorized Personnel Only Security System - complete with death field - all for only §1500 !!!

There's usually a few Leos (10 outgoing points, by default) around my hoods, but none (friends, townies or otherwise) have walked in without being greeted or at least acknowledged since base game.
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Object "In Use" Fixes (Request/WCIF) on: 2007 February 07, 07:39:48
I'm looking for hack/s that can correct two problems with objects already in use being advertised to other sims, much like the Dance Sphere In Use Fix by twojeffs.

Firstly, sims with high attraction scores feel compelled to occupy a bathtub or shower while the object is being used by a significant other. I'm aware BUY would typically kick the sim to the curb, but even so, the sim still wastes time autonomously trying interacting with used items. APO with denied autonomy appears too drastic a solution. This can be greatly irritating for unsupplied FFS homes.

The second is telescopes. I've found that sims (especially three-bolt syndrome) tend to have a fascination with attempting to utilise the single object concurrently. This happens intermittently, usually every other queue action encompasses attempting again to use the object even when still bogarted and previous acquirement failed. Oh, the perils of Sim love (and being a Pisces).

Has anyone heard or seen of any potential workarounds or fixes for these annoyances, or any other items causing similar distresses?
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Exchange a new hood with an old one on: 2007 February 07, 06:55:49
Do you want to use the three graduated sims in the new neighbourhood which is currently empty?
There is no clean way to transfer the sims between hoods without garbage files and problems.

So you'll need to export the sims with SimPE Sim Surgery and re-create them in CAS.
All achievements, memories and relationships need to be reapplied which can be very tedious.

Personally, I would create the sims as adults and use the FFS Debugger to "Upgrade Pre-Uni Sim".
The basic relationships can be made, important memories can be reproduced although I'd let them start fresh.
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 05, 11:57:55
I experienced a toddler growing up bald with mismatched eyesbrows from the babies genetics, not disfigured though.
Nonetheless, I went back to NL & OFB and plan to wait it out until Seasons becomes well-seasoned and stable. Smiley
