426  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So has anyone actually ever paid the 40 bucks to join? on: 2006 January 22, 11:34:43
Funny this topic should come up now.  Last night this forum was down so I typed in 'More Awesome Than You', and for the first time ever saw the Homepage.  Spun me out, specially when I saw the photo of Boy George.  Is he a fan???

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Sim Estates has all the TS1 lots and families, if you're interested....
I'm going for a visit very soon.  Thanks.

I'm of the opinion that the Gypsy is actually a pimp in drag...Why else would you pay her (IT)  to hook up with another sim.

Sorry ZZ, I went there again and did this. Downloads, Buy Mode, By Function, Surfaces and found it on Page 8.  Good luck.

I did go to the Max3D site but it's a paysite.  Me no like them!
431  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 for Sims 2 on: 2006 January 20, 03:32:21
http://www.modthesims2.com, that's the only one I know of.  And Cheriem, the same site has spiral stairs, named the  HalfBloodPrince spiral staircase.

You are WIERD!!  Why don't you throw a party, invite the condemned sim and put them in a dark room with no electricity..or doors or windows.....Or better yet, put them in a pool, delete the ladder and then it can spend the rest of it's ghostly life puddling all over your lot and destroying everything in its path.
433  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 for Sims 2 on: 2006 January 20, 03:09:53
Good news???  Max3d has re-created the Wavy counters, (I loved them) and a few other items at MTS2.  Go to Buy mode, By function, Surfaces and search for Max3D.  Hope this helps any Sims 1 nostalgia buffs...

To access a list of cheats, while in your game try typing in your cheat window            help -all
It's pretty helpful as you don't have to exit the game.

The tennis court and the cheesy hawaiian decor, walls, bar, tv...ah those were the days.  You know, I only played Sims 1 for about a month (Only bought computer last year) and then my friend told me about Sims 2.  The rest is history.
436  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 for Sims 2 on: 2006 January 19, 12:45:30
Thanks for the ideas and messages,  I really appreciate them.  I will do some surfing, (skating my husband would say, not PC compatible), and see what I can dredge up.  If anyone is interested I'll let you know if I find anything...
437  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sims 1 for Sims 2 on: 2006 January 19, 01:28:35
I was just reading through some of the older posts and came across "When was the last time you played Sims 1"?  Reading those posts reminded me of some of the cool things they used to have, e.g. the real fish and frogs in the pond, the medievil dunny, and my all-time favourite; the Pokie Machine.  My question; does anyone know whether any of the Sims 1 objects have been remade for the Sims 2, and if there have, could you provide details.  My thanks.

Shocked I went to check out Mikes forum last night.  He stated that there were X amount of members, but none were on-line.  Granted, I didn't register, was only there as a guest but whats the point if nobody's home??  I think I'll stick to MATY.

I'm changing my guess to the 17th of this month.

That is, as long as Blue doesn't ask JM to cull the roster again.

Hey, I'm sure you have all noticed that this site is nearly up to having its 2000th member.  Well I just thought that must be a bit of a milestone, or maybe not.  I think I have to much time on my hands.

As I have been admonished I'll share  and give a bit to you so consider yourself admonished.  Hows that!!  Do you feel any different? Smiley
443  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Yo Brynne! and others that play with a bazillion sims on lots on: 2006 January 17, 08:55:57
I'm referring to plants on the lot itself. Both Maxis and custom.
I love plants, but I might try fewer in my next house, just to see what happens.  Maybe I'll cut down on the obligatory greenhouses and conservatories...
444  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Yo Brynne! and others that play with a bazillion sims on lots on: 2006 January 17, 00:57:04
Well, since my name is in the title of this thread, it would be nice of me to answer the question.

For me it was trial and error. My game doesn't show signs of slow-down until I'm well into the 20's, and I play on a laptop! On my old pc I had to keep it to around 4 sims per lot. With Nightlife, it's nice because you can teleport sims in and make them selectable. While they're selectable, they're treated as residents, so you can get a feel of whether your system can handle adding him to the household.

I do keep decorations and things under control, though. If I add a lot of plants, my game will stutter.

Hey Brynne, would that be a lot of plants to the lots or neighborhoods, and are they custom or Maxis, coz I have heaps of plants in both; Hmm this may explain the stuttering.

Hey BlueSoup, how does having an Awesomised game differ from your general run of the mill Maxis?.  I seem to learn something new everytime I visit.

Try playing the game for about 6 months with no hacks.  Then install the entire More Awesome Than You Director's Cut.  That's being Awesomized.
if I do that I might end up being more awesome than you!!!I crack me up!! HA HA HA HA
