Do you have Awesome mod? If so there's a handful of posts and topics about sims standing around with items queued in the AwesomeMod! section.

Ha ha, your right. Or it looks like the Nintendo Ds, version of sims 2.

Have you tried using "moveObjects on" Catangi? You type that into the line after pressing command-shift-c and press enter.
Does anyone know if that is right to pull up the command prompt for a mac, on windows that's what it is(ctrl-shift-c).

Ambrosia is a major pain in the butt. Full cooking skill, full fishing skill, and full gardening skill (or you can steal life fruit from a neighbor). By that time, along with trying to achieve a high job or other skills, you'd already be an elder, or you'd have to turn aging off, which defeats the purpose.

If you want to spread misinformation, do it on the BBS XD
You know what, that's what I do. I love to just spew misinformation all over the place. The walls, the park, the space shuttle... everywhere.

I could leave my computer on all day and nothing will happen.  It's when the game is left on whether you are playing or not.  I do think some kind of garbage is building up.
My misinformed self agrees with this. Cheesy

Edited for too much niceness.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is the "Burglar" Trait good for anything? on: 2009 August 20, 20:47:18
A bathtub in the garden? I can see where the never nude trait comes in handy. You wouldn't want poor Mrs. Crumplebottom to walk by and have a heart attack, not that, that can happen.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deadly Ghosts on: 2009 August 20, 20:44:03
Yep, the accidental deaths are more fun and realistic. They're like freak accidents in the human world, not that those are fun, but it made the game slightly more cool. And my bet is that they made the ability to climb out of the pool, because some players thought it was stupid the sims just didn't climb out of the pool...

That's always been one the intrigues or interesting quirks about sims. The fact that there's random things, such as the satelite and being abducted by aliens, or even the sea monster that popped up out of the water in sims 1, makes people wonder what happened. But sadly once again, they're taking stuff like that away. The only alien reference in sims 3 is the rocks with the cavedrawings on them Sad. I don't think looking through the telescope at night will send the spaceship for you and impregnate your female sims with aliens. The only mysterious family was the Goth's and they didn't even add anything, just said, oh look it's the Goth house, remember Bella.

The least they should do is make Strangetown neighborhood for download. Or one like it.

Ha, you have point. But I don't want toddlers to grow up early I meant I wanted them to go along being toddlers for their 6 days (on normal life span), then children, then teens like normal aging, whilst the rest of the family that are adults and young adults wouldn't age a day, that way I can play them for longer, and because I hate to see them get old.

Hey, I was just giving a reason why some people turn of their computers. I turn mine off cause it would get overheated.
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 18:17:37

...for fear of viruses?! Dude, just disconnect from the internet if you're worried things might download themselves.
Oh yes, yes, disconnect blah, blah.
I not ascared of the big bad virus though.

I was talking about the poor folks in my real world family who barely know how to connect to the internet. Heck, they barely know how to turn on their computers. And in that case it's best not to use big words and just tell them to turn the dang computer off.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 August 20, 18:09:50
Yes I do know about the birthday cake. But after having multiple kids I like playing along with their aging time schedule and teaching them to walk and talk before they have to grow up.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Missing baby epidemic? :3 on: 2009 August 20, 18:06:11
The patch was to stop single parents from having any more babies. But all the babies born to single parents would still be in the game, only to becoming a dying species, or more appropriately; literal "baby boomers", on account of their parents magically conceiving them.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 20, 18:03:12
You know, I'm really hoping for a sims 4. I remember when a friend showed me the sims 3 website was an actual website, way back before plans were announced.
But for sims 4, I want eerily realistic people. And real human events. Or how about different heights at least?!!! Every fliggen adult is the exact same height?
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deadly Ghosts on: 2009 August 20, 17:59:55
I agree with the "more creative dying options". In sims 2 you could have a sim die from flies, or a satellite falling on them. Of course if you were cloud watching or in a room with plates full of flies, you were asking for it.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 17:55:45
So I'm thinking we might have the answer?... You will most probably get errors 12 & 13 if your game runs on for an extended period of time. Not sure what might cause this though.
I remembered something from sims 2 also. When I'd play sims 2 for a very long time or leave it on for a very long time, I had no trouble with saving, but my game would become slower and jerk the screen when I tried to scroll, until I'd get annoyed and quit. But when I restarted it, it was always back and performing fast.
I think this is just the way of a machine. It's why people are urged to turn off their computers when not in use, for fear of viruses, and it's good for it to cool down and rest. (unless you have a mac, which can't get viruses)
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 August 20, 17:48:21
The separate on/off aging would be a big help for me. Sometimes you have toddlers and adults in a family, and I always want the toddler to grow up but then you get closer to the adult aging up too.
I didn't have it in sims 2, but I'd love it for sims 3.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 17:44:33
I had the error 12 and 13 problem--including .bad saves, crashing, and neighborhood loss--about a month ago and noticed that it only happened after a long gameplay session--I'm talking about 7+ hours.  Neither the frequency of my saves, or the length of time between them seemed to have any effect on my tendency to get error codes.  So on days when I intended to play an indulgent amount I started exiting the game after 6 hours or so and then restarting it.  Since coming up with this strategy I haven't had a 12 or 13 error code since.  Perhaps this could be helpful for the rest of you.
I think that is very helpful, at least to me. Because the particular time that I was being constantly smacked with error after error, was when I had played my game for about five hours, then left it on screensaver and gone elsewhere for a while. Once I came back I wanted to move my elders into their retirement home, cause my house was full, so I did and added another house for some other members. Then I tried to save, which didn't work, and I came here, then went back to my game where I pressed save and boom it just crashed.
Also when times I am trying out mods and removing and adding custom content, I turn my game on and off, sometimes entering a house and saving. I don't remember getting error messages then.

I will most definitely be trying this method, of playing for about 5 hours at most and then restarting the game. I'll report back here with what happens. I'm hoping this will work!
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thinness capped at .5? on: 2009 August 20, 07:13:51
I accept that my intuition regarding weight loss was incorrect. Regardless, it seems odd and disappointing that it would be impossible for a non-thin-created Sim to access a quarter of the body-weight continuum.
More than that, really. There aren't any mechanisms in the game that really cause a sim to lose beefiness below their created level, so if you create a sim with maximum beefy-arm, they wil pretty much stay that way.
That's actually what I though too. Just as originally fat sims will plump back up to fat after a while, even after losing it with cardio. However Awesome mod does help that occur not so rapidly.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I graduate an adult sim from High School? on: 2009 August 20, 07:09:39
This is a little confusing. Are you saying you went through all this in order to get a special hidden trait the paper boy/girl might have?
If so, I'm just going to say that there is and has never been found a hidden trait from the paper girl/boy, and there's been plenty of time for some one to have found it. I couldn't list the special traits of the top of my head as I didn't care to remember them. Three I can remember are; immune to fire, pyromaniac, and a burglar one.
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 07:03:40
Nin_the_Destroyer I saw your post before last about after cleaning out all the housing you were able to save for an extended amount of time.

I also get errors 12 & 13 back and forth, but no crashing. It used to be every once in a while then more more and often, as everyone else reports. I did notice that after downloading more houses and placing them in my neighborhood, not only did my game render less fast, and slightly slow down whilst scrolling ,and zooming, the errors popped up more often. And it wasn't a problem for me at first because I could go and delete the .bad file. However now, that doesn't even work.  Undecided
My file is at 46mb and it takes about 5 times of saving and deleting .bad, after .bad file, that I either accomplish saving by clicking "Edit Town", and using the option of "Do you wish to save or continue?" and I click "Save" which sometimes it will take it. My game currently is minimized because the error 12 popped up and I thought I really needed to go back and read this whole thread.
My computer is high above the necessary specs, but as reported before that doesn't seem to matter. I will be taking out numerous houses in my town and then trying and tricking it into saving once more for the sake of my family. I believe we're on to something about the file sizes, and I'm curious to know if there's a way to decrease save game file sizes? Could you use a compressor on them? But if so wouldn't the file just revert back to it's parent size after resaving? Or would simply taking out houses and some families cause the file to take up less room?
I'm also wondering what makes a file so large? Someone mentioned before, does the family tree have anything to do with it? My family that I'm currently playing and having continuous error messages, is starting on they're fourth generation. In fact after she was born; my error messages presented themselves a lot more often, to where now I all but can't save.

The biggest question for me is; Will EA even bother to fix this in their next patch? To the looks of it, the fix will have to come from them?
By the way, might I mention how depressing this matter is to me. As of now it means no legacy families, or continuing generations, which for me that's one of the greatest joys.  Cry

Edit: Sadly enough, I jinxed my game. Earlier I said I had not had crashes. But just now, in an attempt at tricking it into saving I clicked "Main Menu" and it asked me do you want to save, I clicked save. Maybe 90 seconds later into saving it crashed.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: move grave? on: 2009 August 19, 18:11:45
I was wondering if urnstones could be dragged to a sim's inventory, regardless of the relationship between the alive and the deceased. This would certainly make moving graves to the cemetery much easier.
I believe they can be picked up by any sim.
I've took a random sims' grave from the cemetary by "Managing the Dead" with no problem, so I don't see how it couldn't work the other way.
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thinness capped at .5? on: 2009 August 18, 22:33:08
No, I'm not exactly sure what CardioVectorDays means either.
I meant that since his thinness stayed at .5 and since you can't necessarily see his body becoming thinner, you know it isn't because it's staying at .5. Which is basically just restating your question (I know, how helpful). Anyways my real help would be to tell you to just go report it since it seems like an Awesome Mod problem.

But you could do an experiment to see if maybe it's just that sim, or everybody can't become thinner than .5. If you made a fully fat sim with no muscle, and then gave him cardio for a while, after he started to slim down, check his bodyinfo. If it's less than .5, keep exercising until it get's to .5, where you'd once again keep exercising and see if it will go past 50%.
73  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thinness capped at .5? on: 2009 August 18, 22:10:11
I see what your saying- even if you couldn't see it in him physically, the bodyinfo still says it hasn't gone down any or increased any. I think that's probably an Awesome mod problem that Pescado will have to look into. You could report in the "Awesome Mod" forum section, there's a topic about Awesome Mod bugs or problems, something like that in there.
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 August 18, 22:05:44
At the time when I played sims 1 I didn't have a fast enough computer to handle all the expansions, so I only played pets and magic.

I find that it's weird that in sims 1 there was a lot more creativity and actual "expansion" with the expansion until sims 2 and now. I can't really believe they gave sims in sims 1 snowboards and then all we got in Bon Voyage was hotels and tourist attractions. And now that you say it, that sounds like a brilliant idea. Boats, skateboards, trikes, all that jazz. We got bikes in this one, whoo, but I was kinda hoping since there was an ocean, you could swim in it, or maybe they'd introduce boats, or jet skis... nah, it just looks pretty, ha. And what about added town community interactive features. Such as a simple ice cream stand. There was tiki food stands in Bon Voyage. How about a hot dog stand, or maybe live concerts for the rock star sims in the park? There's so much EA could've really wowed us with, and they didn't. Undecided
Makin' Magic had that awesomely cute magic act. Where the magician would ask for an assistant out of the little group of sim onlookers and he put her in a box and such.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thinness capped at .5? on: 2009 August 18, 21:04:56
Ha, yes that would lead one to think it shouldn't be attempted. I changed my person's age with it though, and nothing seems to have gone wrong.
But being to beefy would make sense, even though
Sim who spent about a dozen hours doing cardio exercise
So it seems he's doing the right exercise. Is he muscular already though? Does he also do strength workouts?
