Ugh! That is not good.  Cry
I'm at a loss. I don't what to do with it now. Does this mean I have to declare it gone?

Say it ain't so. Sad

Thanks Motoki for the suggestion, I will check there. I've been their before but I didn't think to look at their hairs Smiley

And on BAD side of news. I took the ".backup" out of the name, it asked me if I was sure- the file might become unstable... and I said yes. Restarted game, but still the save was at the end with no picture and and won't load.  Cry

AH! If I could bake you some "You saved the world cookies" and deliver them to you I would. Cheesy
So thanks, I'm restarting right now.
129  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crash, crash and crash, again on: 2009 August 06, 00:03:51
Screw the last message!
I also forgot to mention that before I started this topic my game had crashed in the middle of saving. I didn't really fret about it too much because I know there was a save backup in the folder.
Then I just restarted my game after taking away a few hairs. I get to the menu and notice that my game I have been playing in was not at the beggining of the list of saved games so I scrolled to the end. There it was except; for no thumbnail with my family all standing together, just the empty blue one replacing it. So I clicked on it and clicked the big "play" button. It scrolls back to the beginning of the list and does nothing. I try clicking, double clicking it many more times yet the same outcome. So I think that since it crashed in the middle of saving the file must be corrupted and I exit and delete the save file so now the only other file with the same name in there is the backup save that goes along whenever you save. I restart the game, once again the saved game is at the end with no picture. AND once againnnn, I click on it and nothing happens.
Now... I know that there must be a way to use the backup save in the "Saves" folder or else why the heck would they make one? So. Any ideas to how the heck I can get my save to start up again. (I also have the save that was in the process of saving when sims 3 crashed, it's in my recycle bin of course.)

Really, really! need some help now because I could deal with the crashing but this save was my legacy family. My legacy family that is also the very first family I made when the sims 3 came out. Sad

Alright guess I'll try that and just wait for some bonified beta tested hairs to be realeased from where ever. I guess that's what I get for being impatient and sims 2 cc homesick Smiley
131  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Crash, crash and crash, again on: 2009 August 05, 22:52:54
My game keeps crashing pretty much everytime I play it. Just at random times, I believe. The only mod I have is to extend my queue to 15 spaces. I don't have Awesome mod either. I do have a bunch of TS2 peggy converted hairs however. I don't know their names but probably their making my game crash? And I should take them out??? (they are pretty suckish anyway)
Or if I downloaded Awesome mod it fix it so it wouldn't crash? Please help; because even with my compulsive saving, it's becoming quite the annoyance :/.
132  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Aging Stops after Baby Born? on: 2009 August 05, 18:50:23
Well I'm so glad to have helped Smiley
133  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Perfect aquarium...or not? on: 2009 August 05, 07:44:46
I waited until I had 13 different perfect fish in my inventory, bought a few tables and 13 bowls, and stocked them one after the other.  The wish was fulfilled without ever feeding any of them.
Well gee, I guess I'm too much of an idiot to realize I could have done that.  Cry
134  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Aging Stops after Baby Born? on: 2009 August 05, 05:38:20
Well your best bet would be to start by taking out the pregnancy mod and restart the game and see if aging starts up again. If that doesn't work take another out and then the third one, which would mean no mods in the game... but in between removing a mod restart your game and see if aging works again. It's probably going to work after theirs no mods in your game. But at least with no mods you know it's not the actual game thats messing up.
If it indeed isn't the game that's messing up you could probably put back the Awesome mod and Indie but not the teen pregnancy (and the aging problem wouldn't present again). I'm pretty sure that the problem is from the mods interacting with each other and in a way becoming confused, most likely the Indie Stone and Awesome mod reacting with the teen pregnancy. If it helps any, I'm sure Pescado will eventually include teen pregnancy in his Awesome mod Smiley
135  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Perfect aquarium...or not? on: 2009 August 05, 05:29:01
I think you're "supposed" to put them in bowls as soon as they are caught and keep them alive until you have all 13.  That's what I did, and the wish fulfilled as soon as I stocked the 13th bowl.  I guess they didn't realize that people would try to avoid having to feed them by keeping them in their inventory until they had all 13.
Yah I did the same, kept them alive in my little self made "aquarium" room. Except all the fish I didn't feed on time in the process could probably team up and start a mob against me in the grave yard.

I second the "Absolutely Nothing".
137  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 04, 20:34:42
I just recorded this last night as my family was moving down the block to a new house. Instead of a cab or bus they simply ran/marched down the sidewalk in unison. I thought it was quite amusing.

And also this one, after moving into previously mentioned new house and lighting the oh-so expensive fireplace, it catches on fire. So everyone jumps out of bed and forms a fire chant circle around the blaze...
Clicketh!
138  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hex values for favorite colors on: 2009 August 04, 04:30:59
Well the primary colors should be pretty easy, right? FF0000 for red, 00FF00 for green, 0000FF for blue would be my guess, and black and white along those lines too.
Rights, Googling it assuming he/she didn't know that much pertaining HTML type colorings Smiley It might also work it you typed "basic maroon hex values".
139  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Super Hyper Crazy Picnic Plate Bandit? on: 2009 August 04, 04:14:48
I don't know this word, "hiper." Perhaps you meant "hyperactive"?
You've just completely changed my life, no seriously, my whole life I've always consciously typed "hiper" as in "hyper" when in fact the word "hiper" correctly spelled is "hyper". If that made sense... Undecided I think my whole family spells it like that, and I've never took time to realize it's wrong... oh geez *pulls out brain and shakes sense into it*
Sorry sorry, I will fix it.
140  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Invisible Sims -- anyone know how to beat with a hammer? on: 2009 August 04, 04:10:29
I don't who it was above (possibly Granny) that said this happens when the sims goes to age up? Did you try turning on testingCheats and manually ageing the sim up? What if you moved the people who had to age up onto another lot, and if they're too young; move a random townie in. Then let them age up in that house, and later move them back into their real home.
The most likely reason they turn invisible is when the game is getting ready to adjust the thumbnail, such as when changing clothes, makeup, hair, or age, then the thumbnail has to adjust and sometimes if it lags long enough the sim won't change either and will go invisible like the thumbnail. I know cause I have times where my game sort of freezes for a second and and my thumbnails turn invisible. My sims also momentarily turn invisible when reentering a lot.
141  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Super Hyper Crazy Picnic Plate Bandit? on: 2009 August 04, 03:55:34
EA won't fix it. Downloading Awesome mod will fix it.

I'd download Awesome mod, since I hear it's awesome (ha) but I also hear it cause crashes and sometimes interects with mods negatively. So, I'd rather just have a few little, what I prefer to call "little quirky glitches that amuse me and provide interesting photographs for the forums to poke and rip and bash EA for".
*breathes in loudly* And I'm crazy paranoid about having to start over even though I have backups of my game.
142  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hex values for favorite colors on: 2009 August 04, 03:30:27
Unfortunately most of the game is now written in "gaming" type code which is not so easily read. So therefore someone who can read the "core" of the game would have to search for it if it isn't in the regular game files. (by the way if I completely botched the past statement please so smartly correct me as I'm in a sort of "my brain is malfunctioning" right now mode.

So don't shoot me for not exactly answering your question. Undecided But the most knowledgable answer would be to look up (google?) the hex value for the basic colors (red, blue, black, white) and use those on clothes, furniture.
That's an interesting question though, as I hadn't really thought of the fact that you could dress them in their favorite colors or whatever...
*hurries off to make total blue sim*
143  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Hates my Skin Choices?! on: 2009 August 04, 03:14:43
Well allright thanks so much for your help, it finally showed up Smiley I pretty much tried what you said and after a while it finally showed *falls out of chair from exhaustion*

For me I'm not really liking the new coding setup for TS3, it seems to be a lot of game coding (which others have said slows down finding mods). Not to mention you get one skin tone and the installing and uninstalling of cc is kind of sticky. But I'm not going back to TS2, I'd feel too left out. :/
144  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 04, 02:04:44
I know I quite enjoy having Birthday Parties for the sole purpose to photograph sims making ridiculously happy/excited faces, whilst the poor kid must then age up without turning around and dieing from laughter...

A brilliant example: Check out the friends family in the background...

And the kid seems to still be dumbfounded except for the fact there was a rainbow swirl and she suddenly has boobs Wink

The scene I came home too after a day away from my house... my sim. commiting suicide in the family pond. in her underwear.

The close knit relationship of my neighbors (note the scowering girl having a picnic)

And lastly, I noted someone said rockstars get tour buses to travel in. So here's my girl in her tour bus relocating to the new house, gotta love those leopard seat covers!
145  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Super Hyper Crazy Picnic Plate Bandit? on: 2009 August 03, 05:02:54
Ha, *sigh* yes I meant bandit. I was having a lost mental spelling list moment :/.
I don't even have the Awesome mod. But yeah I just have to stay away from the lot and it resets, only to have the plates ritually spread out again. I don't really know if there's a fix, it's probably something EA will have to put into one of their fantastic patches...
146  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Hates my Skin Choices?! on: 2009 August 03, 00:52:27
I just restarted the game and went into CAS and it's still there. I know because of the papercat face has major freckles on the nose and the guy had major freckles on his nose.
I've deleted simCompositorCache multiple times. Now is that the only file I should delete? Because I was also deleting CAS Part Cache and Compositor Cache.

147  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Super Hyper Crazy Picnic Plate Bandit? on: 2009 August 03, 00:42:35
I'm pretty sure this is some sort of glitch as it happens to me somewhat frequently whenever I visit the park or pool. Basically wherever has a picnic blanket and basket or grill.
Why, a picnic basket? Wellllll...

Yes. I seem to have a picnic plate happy sim ghost. I've even had some sweet little sim family go to the park and pick up all the plates. But only to revisit the next for little Johnny's play date and happen upon the stinking mass of picnic plate park.

It doesn't exactly bother me as it does amuse me, but it does give off bad moodlets such as "Disgusted". Anyone else had this happen?
148  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Saved sims disappeared? on: 2009 August 03, 00:17:50
Have you tried clicking on the files in the "SavedSims" file on your computer and reinstalling them? Perhaps the update got snagged and didn't keep your sims installed into the game.
Try clicking and reinstalling one then see if it shows up in your game. I know in Sims 2 this was the case in lots of problems.
149  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sims 3 Hates my Skin Choices?! on: 2009 August 03, 00:15:08
I downloaded the Aikea Guinea Male Full Body Barbie Skin replacement, and I already know where to put it (root sims3/mods/packages), I also have the Installer Monkey installed.
But my problem is it's not showing. I had a skin on before for the male, papercat's, and I deleted the file and deleted the CAS caches, which I beleive there's three cache files that people say you have to delete for it to show but so far the papercat skin is still on there! I've tried mulitple times to delete them and restart the game or/and redownload the Aikea skin and restart the game but everytime the papercat skin is still there!

ANY? Ideas, I'm really getting impatient with it...  Angry
